Realistic WMD environment effects(GS)

Description

This mod is designed to realistically reflect the environmental impact of nuclear weapon usage and fallout cleanup in Civilization VI. While the base game focuses primarily on the tactical destructive power of nuclear weapons, this mod adds strategic choices that take long-term environmental consequences into account.

As a result, Create an interesting and slightly more realistic 'nuclear winter'.

Intent and Goal
Do you remember the GS leak about the 'nuclear winter'? Well, However, (although it would have been a different story in the mid-20th century) the nuclear winter hypothesis is on the verge of being abandoned in the scientific community these days. - but we still cannot deny that nuclear weapons are fatal to our civilization.

So....This mod avoids the speculative "nuclear winter" hypothesis and instead focuses on the realistic environmental impact of nuclear weapon usage and fallout cleanup. It aims to enhance strategic depth in the game by addressing the complexities of modern civilizations and environmental issues.

Key Features
1. CO2 Emissions from Nuclear Weapons
-Use of WMD produces a small amount of CO2, contributing minimally to the progression of climate change in the game.

2. Significant CO2 Increase from Fallout Cleanup
-Fallout tiles created by nuclear strikes can be left to dissipate naturally over time, or they can be cleared manually at the cost of significantly increased CO2 emissions.
-Reckless removal of fallout may provide short-term benefits but can lead to severe long-term consequences, such as accelerated climate change.

As a result, the decision to clean fallout tiles or leave them untouched becomes crucial. Players must strike a balance between short-term convenience and long-term environmental protection.

Impact on Gameplay

-Climate change may progress more quickly, requiring players to be more cautious when deploying nuclear weapons.
-Avoiding or carefully managing fallout cleanup becomes essential for environmental protection and long-term survival strategies.
-Civilizations that utilize weapons of mass destruction may face heightened global climate challenges and intensified diplomatic conflicts.(And if civilizations that have been hit by a nuclear attack rush to clean up the fallout in order to rebuild quickly, the negative side effects will accelerate.)

Compatibility
This mod is based on the climate change mechanics of the Gathering Storm expansion and may conflict with other mods that alter CO2 mechanics. Compatibility with additional nuclear weapon-related mods may require testing.
