(b42.4.1) Velkiel's Reusable Sinks

Description
If you don't have any rain collector around to contain water, you'll be able to use sinks and tubs again after the water shutoff!

Since 2.0 : you can now fill the container with rain water !

Features :
- Plug any sinks or bathtubs to be used as water containers (you don't need anything else than the sink itself, you don't need to find or craft a stopper)
- Unplug the water stopper to make it back as a vanillasink or bathtub
- Until the water shuts off happens, you have an option to fill the container with water if it's plugged
- Add a new right click feature that aims to improve the user experience when trying to click on a sink or bathtub but there's a door or something in the way: if you are standing next to the sink/tub and right click, it will find the closest handled by the mod sink/tub and show up in the context menu
notes about this new feature:
- It will only work if you are standing next to the sink/tub
- It is not mod compatible (unless there's a proper developpement by the author of the mod to handle this) so if another mod add a submenu for the sink, note that their feature won't appear in this sink menu (view this as a new sink context menu)
- This feature can be performance costing as it verifies all the nearby tiles to find the closest handled sink/tub.
- This option can be disabled in the mod settings if you experience performance issues because of it or don't like it

Warning

- This works on existing saves, but this mods works with customs tiles for sinks and bathtubs, to give them the ability to look filled in the game, if you unload this mod with some sinks still plugged as water containers, you will make them disappear visually, if you need to remove this mod, unplug all sinks/tubs you plugged in

Let me know if you have any issues or suggestions !

I recently lost my job, that's why I get to work on this mod. If it helped you, please consider donating to me on my Paypal[www.paypal.me]

Thank you !

Known issues :
- When turned into a fluid container, the sink or bathtub in the context menu will have a name without whitespaces; it's a vanilla behavior with fluid containers names that i can't fix yet
- Sinks or bathtubs in the fluid transfer menu won't have a name (but still works fine)

Changelog:

2.15:
- Fixed somes others compatibility issues with the 42.4.1 game version that had some water/fluid system reworked pre water shutoff
-> due to this modifications of the game, because of the new way of the infinite water system is recognized (pre-shutoff) i had to flag the sink and "not piped but can be", as the public function that allowed me to control this has been turned to private, so unusable from a code point of view in LUA
So, I wouldn't advise to NOT plumb any sink with stoppers, as this behavior is not wanted but required by the game due to their system as it's in the java code and I can't do anything about it
If you wanna plumb that sink or bath later, just remove the stopper beforehand

2.14:
- Fixed compatibility issues with the 42.4.1 game version that had some water/fluid system reworked

2.13:
- Fixed compatibility issues with the 42.3 game version

2.12:
- Added better translations support (English, French, German)

2.11:
- Fixed some issues with objects that doesn't have a sprite name causing exceptions with the right click feature

2.10:
- Improved the right click on sink/tub behavior to avoid the issue where the sink/tub is not found in the context menu
- Fixed the depthmaps for the sinks resulted in the sinks being cut off in some cases
- Add a new right click feature that aims to improve the user experience when trying to click on a sink or bathtub but there's a door in the way: if you are standing next to the sink/tub and right click, it will find the closest handled by the mod sink/tub and show up in the context menu
notes about this new feature:
- It will only work if you are standing next to the sink/tub
- It is not mod compatible (unless there's a proper developpement by the author of the mod to handle this) so if another mod add a submenu for the sink, note that their feature won't appear in this sink menu (view this as a new sink context menu)
- This feature can be performance costing as it verifies all the nearby tiles to find the closest handled sink/tub.
- This option can be disabled in the mod settings if you experience performance issues because of it or don't like it

2.00:
- Add the ability to fill the container with rain water by placing it outside and plugging it (If you used the mod previously and put a plugged sink outside, you'll need to remove the plug and put it back to make it work with rain collection)
- Balanced the amount of water in some sinks

1.00:
- Initial release, give the ability to transforms any sinks or bathtub into a fluid container, by simply... using their water stopper!

okay thank you for clarifying

@BiranWeWhicks I mean that you not should use this mod on plumbed sinks, because it's made to remplace this system. If you didn't plumb them, then you can use it pre or post watershutoff, it doesn't matter

"I wouldn't advise to NOT plumb any sink with stoppers"
I'm sorry, are you saying to not put the stopper in until after the water is shut off, essentially?

Hello Everyone !

Unfortunally, i don't have the time to keep up with the mod breaking updates of the game anymore, as this requires me to go through every changelog for all of my mods, modify all my mods... and i don't have the time to do this or to also test the mods throughly

Especially this mods that deals with the fluid systems core that constantly get updated, and i have to figure out all sorts of backways to make it work anymore

I may go back on this when the updates gets more stable and when i have more time to update this to be more stable too, i don't like pushing fast updates, not knowing if it works fully or not

I flagged this mod to only be enabled on the last supported game version i did of it, which is the 42.4.1 as stated in the title.

Sorry for the inconvinience ! And thanks for all the support :)

@terriblyrascallysortofthing : I updated the mod. I didn't experience the same bugs per say, but there was indeed issues with the pre-shutoff state of the sinks

note :
Due to this modifications of the game, because of the new way of the infinite water system is now recognized (pre-shutoff) I had to flag the sink and "not piped but can be", as the public function that allowed me to control this has been turned to private by the devs, so unusable from a code point of view in LUA

So, I wouldn't advise to NOT plumb any sink with stoppers, as this behavior is not wanted but required by the game due to their system as it's in the java code and I can't do anything about it

If you wanna plumb that sink or bath later, just remove the stopper beforehand
