I think it's immersive that the player's vehicles rust. Rust happens naturally IRL. Whether the car's driven every day or not.
It's a matter of maintaining the car, and removing rust surface when you see it.
Therefore I think a simple option to remove rust from cars, possibly using tools, is a better and more immersive approach.
Not to mention the fact that if a player gets into a car, and it doesn't rust ever again, it wouldn't be that immersive....
I'm new to this scripting part and I'm still learning a few things, but I think it's possible...
I've come close to making a way for the player's vehicles not to rust, but the problem is that when the player gets out of the car the car rusts immediately since the rust is applied several times. What I think I can try to do is a cycle of every 3 months the cars rust again, so I can make a script to remove rust more efficiently and less artificially in game.
