Description
Helicopter Landing Zone Mod

Land your helos and VTOLs (almost) anywhere you want!

A Helicopter Landing Zone, without any building or runway, to allow you to place spots where helicopters and VTOLs can take-off and land without having to do it from a ship or airfield.
Ideal to simulate a Tactical Landing Zone (for insertion of troops), a forward arming and refuelling point (FARP) or the helipad of a fire base. Feel free to use your imagination.
The default Landing Zone is empty (and civilian) and there are 16 loadout variants, each one with a different pair of the helicopters or VTOLs available in the game. The LZ can support up to 4 helicopters or VTOLs.

Design Notes: Unfortunately, for an unknown reason (which has something to do with the animations I suspect) you can only launch/recover one CH-46 at a time. So DON'T try to launch/recover several CH-46 together, otherwise they won't take-off at all. The other helicopters or VTOLs are not affected by this glitch.
Since the game's helicopter take-off and landing animations are not designed for platforms without hangars, the helicopters just pop out of nowhere when spawning and vanish when despawning.

Changelog: Jan 19, 2025: Added the ability to recover/launch VTOLs.

Note: If you publish a scenario using this mod, do not forget to indicate in your description that in order it works the players need to subscribe to this mod first ;).

Important (about mods and mods use):
This mod has been tested and is running perfectly on my computer (i7-11800H @ 2.30 Ghz - 16 GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050) with no other mod enabled. However, since they are as many computer configurations than computer users, it's unfortunately impossible to guarantee it will work on yours.
Be aware that by installing mods for Sea Power, you are modifying your game experience from the original intended product which is (as of Jan 2025) still in EARLY ACCESS. Therefore, later game updates/patches may cause this mod to be deprecated. Although it is very unlikely, the presence of other enabled mods might cause conflicts, and the more enable mods on your computer, the greater the chance of conflict. So, to sum it up, USE MODS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If you wish to clean uninstal this mod make sure to follow these steps: 1) Uncheck this mod in the mod manager. 2) Click on Accept. 3) Unsubscribe. Then make sure the mod's file is no longer in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1286220 folder.

If you want the LZ to be empty use the empty LZ otherwise (as mentioned in the description) they have 2 helos/VTOLs of the specified type.

Just updated the mod to include the CH-46s, but see design notes about how to launch/recover them.

Really glad that you made this! Even without the CH-46s this is still super useful for FARPs and LZs and such. I do hope you can find a fix for the CH-46s though, given how many are embarked on the LHAs.
