How to make PS3 Controller work with War Thunder (Dual Shock)

This guide will help YOU make PS3 controllers such as the Dual Shock work with War Thunder so you dont have to use Mouse and Keyboard (if you dont want to)

How To Get A PlayStation 3 Controller Working With War Thunder OR Other Games

I Made This Guide For People Who Want To Play With a PlayStation 3 Controller, Enjoy!

Step 1: Install latest drivers for your PS3 controller by connecting your PS3 controller into your computer with a cord that comes with your PS3 (also known as the charger for your controller)Once your done installing latest drivers for your PS3 controller and your computer should recoginze the controller.

Step 2: Now go to http://www.motioninjoy.com/ and into "downloads" find the latest download link for your system such as (windows 7 64-bit) and download it.

Step 3: Once you downloaded motionjoy start it up and click "Driver Manager"

Step 4: Once in "Driver Manager" click "Load Driver" if you installed latest drivers for you PS3 controller your driver files should load correctly.
Step 5: go into "Profiles" and beside the Xbox 360 controller emulator option click on Xinput Default or select the option that they give you, just make sure to select Xbox 360 controller emulator because the playstation option has afew bugs currently and the Xbox 360 option should work perfectly even though your using a PS3 controller.

Step 6: Now you can Enable your controller and test it by clicking the "Vibrate" button, if it works you should be good to go!

(NOTE) dont close motionjoy if you want to use controller for War Thunder or other games

i am not sure because i personally didn't try it on windows 8.1 but you can go on website download the windows 8 instead of windows 7 i believe. should work.

nah its all good, i think motionjoey nad betterds3 is the samething so i dont mind, i dont even see a diffrence to be honest in both of them, np :)

While I recognize MotinInJoy's contribution to the gaming community, and still use their DRIVERS, I highly recommend anyone wanting to use a DualShock3 controller check a program called BetterDS3.
My reasoning for this is simple: MIJ's program requires bandwidth to function, BetterDS3 does not. Also: MIJ's client is allowing open traffic into a 'trusted' application on your PC: never a great idea. BetterDS3 does everythingMIJ can do, and does not create a security weakpoint in your PC.
