Red Sea Blockade

Description
The year is 1991, and the Cold War has escalated into open conflict. NATO holds naval dominance in the Mediterranean, but the Soviet Union seeks to shift the balance of power. A formidable Soviet battlegroup, led by a Kirov-class battlecruiser, has entered the Red Sea through the Gulf of Aden. Their mission: to blockade vital trade routes to the Suez Canal and cripple NATO's economic lifeline. In response, NATO has dispatched a powerful task force, centered around the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and the battleship USS Missouri, to break the blockade. The NATO fleet must force its way through the heavily defended Bab al-Mandab Strait, destroy the Soviet fleet, and establish control over the Red Sea. The stage is set for a high-stakes naval showdown in one of the world’s most critical waterways.

I found, I dropped several helos worth of sonoboys on it, even almost ran into if with the frigate and sonar, nothing. Wouldnt get identified.

I am working on 2 "prequel" missions for this scenario. Once they are finished I'll release all 3 in one mod, and correct some errors and make small changes in this scenario.

@PeHaChi Did you identfy it? It's not enough to find the echo, it has to be classified. Request identify yourself sometimes works, but not always.

Funny, for me I found the LA or at least a sonar echo stating to be a US sub but it somehow doesnt change over to my side and stays only an echo

Played NATO side again with the Air Deck Operations Mod and went a lot smoother in not having to wait so long for planes to land. I still didn't find the LA, but I did sink a Charlie II .

Now I just need to stop shooting down so many of my own F-14's with AIM-54s :).

@stoinker666. Yes, problem with the Nimitz landing is the base game. I just installed the Air Deck Operations Mod, and may run it again with that. I expect it will make my life a lot easier. I also plan to play from the Soviet side.

@Pinkygen Yes, landing aircraft is a pain with the Nimiz, but it has nothing to do with the scenario, it's just how the unit works. Can't influence that.
There is a small chance that the Los Angeles dosen't spawn. I may change that, so it's always there.

Fun, albeit takes forever to land and reload the aircraft (I turned the carrier away because I knew it would get stuck forever landing aircraft). Survived the initial missile attacks with F-14's firing at the incoming missiles.

I fufilled all objections except finding the miss Los Angeles? Is it there? I laid a ton of sensors from aircraft and helos in the circle and didn't hear anything, and sent my main units there pinging away at the end of the game.

It might be the 'NTU Full Capability Carriers' mod, but is anyone else having the problem where it takes ~7 minutes for each individual plane to land? Like my carrier is literally running aground because it spends 2.5 hours at thirty knots in a strait line recovering 2 dozen aircraft.
