Spawn Anywhere [B42]

Description
Tired of predictable starting locations? This mod takes your Project Zomboid experience to the next level by spawning you in a completely random place every time you create a new character! From cozy bedrooms to eerie warehouses, each start is a fresh surprise.
The mod offers you to spawn to approx. 81 717 rooms and 9142 buildings all around Knox Country



Features
  • Wake up in a random room, in a random building, in a random place – no two starts are the same!
  • Spawns are carefully placed in empty spaces, so you won’t end up stuck behind furniture or walls. (Experimental)
  • To avoid the frustration of spawning in a pitch-black room, lights are turned on by default at your spawn location. (Experimental)
Sandbox Options
If you want to tailor your experience by choosing yourself in which type of city or location you want to be randomly spawned, you can modify them in the sandbox pages ! Keep in mind that some location could not be available for a specific city, in that case, the mod will make the selected location unavailable.



Upcoming Improvments
  • In the future, if your spawn room has no available light switches, the mod will automatically move you to a better location.
  • Somes cities are missing (e.g. Echo Creek) Work is on going to make it available.


The mods is built using less handmade stuff, meaning that all spawns location are chosen by the game itself, a lot of filters is done to avoid being blocked somewhere, if you encounted this kind of issue, don't hesitate to reach me out !

spawned in an elevator with no lights on had to use the starter gun for lights and there was no exit

I spawned in the burnt town that the Louisville checkpoint goes through even though I specifically disabled spawning in Louisville and LAA.

why are none of these spawn mods appearing in my mod list? Litteraly none of them do and it has been like that on B41 aswell. Louisville Spawn B42 by Geri D. doesnt appear in my mod list either. I just want to spawn in Louisville for once.

for some reason lousville always gets picked when enabled with other cities. if lousville is disabled then LAA gets this "priority" dunno why

Awesome, thanks man! If the Spawn Anywhere is available, will each tile receive equal % chance to spawn there, to make it perfectly random? I would like this a lot.

Hello guys, very sorry for my late replies. I had some personal stuffs to do.

So I understand that there are many bugs, and you all want to really spawn anywhere in the world. I thought that a bit bad regarding User Experience because half of the map is kind empty if you spawn very far away.

I can add a sandbox options to allow spawning anywhere and not in the selected "areas".

Regarding the areas, I understand that most of the areas are not working properly, I will have to investigate and deep dive into it to provide you a fix asap.

And for what it's worth I'm okay with spawning in walls I get that it comes with the territory and I'm sure it'd be really hard to fix I've coded small games before. So I don't share the same complaint as those about spawning in trapped areas, to me it doesn't happen very often and restarting a game is not that hard or time consuming.

Yo if you didn't create this mod someone else would have. This is far from a Spawn Anywhere mod. Please create a mod that does exactly that or rename this to a Louisville Spawn mod because I'm not looking for a mod that gives me a couple extra areas to spawn in, I just want to spawn anywhere and have it completely random, it'd be really fun to play I don't mean to sound rude or anything but it seems like this mod has been neglected for weeks.
