1986 Stager C-550 Sleeper

Anyhow in 1986 The Stager would continue there C-550 line, however with environmental regulations getting stricter each year, Stager had to cut the "skinnyhood". C-550s now opting for a wider, more aerodynamic hood and options for sleeper top aero kits, and continued there Aerodrome high top sleeper.

However the C-550 could handle 2 different engines from the factory, the 615E and 816D, both being electronically assisted engines, however, not impeding on maintenance, so many are still running today

This C-550 has a Stager 816D engine, a 16L V8 outputting 575 Horsepower and 1450 FtLbs of torque, making it better for speed, but not heavy hauling

This series (Series IV) would be produced from 1986 to 2000, when Stager would shut down truck production
