Make sure you also have the Community Mod Framework installed, this mod is dependent on it.
Currently, the options are hardcoded as the game does not inherently track ruling dynasties, and character creation has to take that into account.
Thanks for the report though, I'll see if I can nail it down, I've been having stray reports of ruler characters not being assigned correctly since 1.12 dropped.

Not sure if the game keeps track of a ruler's children or Dynasty, but could it be a solution to simply make the Danish option a generic character with the same "last name" as the current ruler of the chosen country? Presuming it's a Monarchy of course.
Also, clicking the Danish option just gives me a random Greek character as King for some reason. Unsure if the other options have the same result.
