Halting the Hammer

Captain, we have just received a Flash Message from Sixth Fleet. A satellite has spotted a Soviet Surface Action Group, centered around the Kirov, getting underway in an effort to halt our Amphibious Landings at Reykjavik. We are being tasked to locate and intercept the Soviet SAG. Should we fail to intercept the SAG it could jeopardize our landing operations and our operations in Europe as a whole. The Nimitz's Air Wing is still engaged in securing Air Superiority over Iceland, but they may be able to allocate an E-2C to assist us in locating the Soviet SAG, and there are US Fast Attack Subs operating in the area and may try to intercept them if the opportunity arises. But I wouldn't count on any of these possibilities, this will likely be up to us. Thankfully, they have given us Tactical Control of the USS Yorktown, USS Wainwright, USS Kidd, USS Spruance, and the USS Ruben James so we have a fighting chance of stopping the Soviets.
