Bad Romeance (finally)

The Bad Romeance achievement was a pain in the ass, but I finally completed it. Here is my successful run by a brief description and dates of events
No mods, no cheats.

Considerations and limitations

You're on a strict timeline
Many required actions are ill conceived for "reality"
The AI is stacked against you:
Go fascist and Spanish CW goes about 65% to the Communists
Germans DOW on everyone they can (can't have too many enemies, can we)
Especially when I am on the verge of defeating one enemy (say Turkey and my partners have to DOW on the USSR immediately, they can't wait two more weeks).

Economics and Conquest of Italy

Must be done prior to Italians joining Axis (approx. 10MAY39

1. I prefer to run the Bedrock of Balkan Financial Stability to maximize the initial factories and thus fort building in Italy, then run the fascists short of "Horror & Fear", then .

2. Once landing in Italy with 10 divisions try to initially seize a 3x3 province area from Battipaglia across to Barletta down to all of the "heel" of the Italian "boot" west to the "neck" of the "toe" at Castrovillian.

2.a Immediately fortify the four points "in contact". (the most important is the center point of the northern line vicinity of Riserva Regionale Lago Piccolo di Monticchio in Campania. It will see the most action.

2.b Get each fort to level one, then maximize at level rates across the four points.

2.c Don't call the Germans immediately, wait for them to man the border (they will do the majority of the land grab, but the Greeks will kill of a ton of Italians attacking the forts (similar to inviting the Turks to beat themselves to death on the Aegean and Alexandroupolis forts). An additional advantage is the Italians running up and down the peninsula and not actively engaged.

2.d Immediately reinforce upon seizing a port and defeating Albania (end run them, and grab the VP's).

2.e Watch your recruitment so you don't run out of manpower for reconstitution.

10APR39 Italy DOW on Yugo

24AUG39 German DOW on Poland (nice to have defeated Italy by this point)

France was moving toward Fascism, but Germany DOW on CZ and general war before I could push France over the edge (Sudetenland would have bought enough time).
