Description
So my friend of mine name Cato, he asked me if its possible for me to make stuff for the SRC Project, so i figured why not, so i decided to make 972 to start with.

History

972 is a D-10j Class 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1912 for the Canadian Pacific Railroad. The engine was primary used for Freight Service until retirement in 1959 and stored at Weston Shops, in the early year of 1966. the 972 was sold to George M. Hart which he have plans to restore her to operating condition for use of mainline excursions. 972 is one of the last CPR Steamers to be sold by the Railroad. So as such the locomotive is moved to York, Pennsylvania where it'll haul excursion trips on the Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad trackage between York and Delta. In 1967 though, the 972 is moved to the City of Jim Thorpe where it'll haul more excursion trips there. And it even visited to the Strasburg Railroad to promote the opening of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in 1971. After the museum opened, the engine return to Jim Thorpe where 972 will continue to do its normal operating duties until 1979 where the engine visited the Strasburg Railroad yet again to pull a tourist train for the National Railway Historical Society. In 1985, her tender was relettered to "Philadelphia & Reading" for celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Reading Company and pulling excursion trains for the railroad. Unfortunately, during that same year, the 972 was pulled of service afterwards due to Hart's contract with the City of Jim Thorpe was expired. So Hart moved the 972 to Strasburg where the engine will have it's heavy rebuilt on the engine and trying to renew his contracts, but sadly though. In the mid-1990's, Hart lost interest on rebuilding 972, so he sold her to Strasburg Railroad. As of today, the locomotive is stored outdoors, awaiting to be operated again.
