@`r0'it^-Alio Very late response but I just did an experiment with this and found that Ratkin apparel and equipment can be used by Non - Ratkin pawns so long as they are the Thin body type

A Non - Ratkin pawn CANNOT pick up anything Ratkin related to equip it as they are "Human" but if you use character edit and add it to the pawn they will use it

This means Ratkin's restrictions on equipment are a legacy of the HAR framework as that was the only way to enforce body types before xenotypes existed, if the race requirement on a Ratkin apparel, weapon etc is removed and somehow changed to a Thin body type gene lock then we can have our cake and eat it

Can this mod substitute the original mod and be compatible or work instead of using the original? I would like to use the Xenotype instead of injecting the race because now we have biotech.

@DickHardly I'd like to know this too. Is the Ratkin Xenotype recognised as the Ratkin race by mods such as outfits and weapons which specify they are only usable by HAR Ratkins and if not is it possible for some sort of flag to be added to a part of the Ratkin Xenotype so it triggers these mods to think anything with that Xenotype part is a Ratkin

@Seanggag @Luke TasRook I love the original Ratkin mod but in all honesty the original author really by this point should have done what this mod does and converted Ratkins to a xenotype. Humanoid Alien Races existed because it was the only way to inject custom races into the game prior to Biotech, Biotech's Xenotypes is HAR

I don't know why the other Ratkin mod would be DMCA'd but if done by the original developer I hope instead of just doing it to this one they reach out to Seanggag and offer to merge the Xenotype into their own mod

@SaltyStoryteller Vanilla Expanded Framework has a feature that let you add modded factions into an existing game, i think

@MagicRobo have you got the Standalone Ratkin gear and made sure your colonist is using the "thin" body type?
