Notes:

- CH-46 is acting as a scout for the battleship, but it's a placeholder;
- use a specific type of armament on a specific target (bottom panel). Auto-Maneuvering is mainly done when using the main guns, and that can be frustrating;
- use the cease fire command to change position of the ship before another salvo.

Mission Briefing: USS Missouri in Pine Valley

Background
In November 1989, the Soviet Union launched a surprise invasion of the Northwestern United States, beginning with Seattle. This unexpected assault caught U.S. forces off guard as they were primarily deployed to reinforce Europe against potential Soviet advances. The invasion of Seattle marked a significant turning point in the conflict, as Soviet troops quickly established a foothold in the region. As U.S. forces regrouped, Lieutenant Parker and his team were ordered to retreat from Seattle under the command of Colonel Jeremiah Sawyer. They managed to stall the Soviet advance temporarily but faced overwhelming odds.
The USS Missouri was deployed to provide crucial naval support to ground forces engaged in fierce battles, including the critical defense of Pine Valley. Current Situation The US 5th Battalion is currently engaged in a fierce battle against superior Soviet numbers. Positioned in Pine Valley, they are slowly being ground down by relentless enemy assaults. The USS Missouri has been tasked with providing essential fire support to repel the advancing Soviet forces.

Mission Objectives

Support Ground Forces: Utilize the USS Missouri's naval gunfire capabilities to assist the US 5th Battalion by targeting enemy positions.
Engage Enemy Naval Units: Acknowledge the presence of a modified tanker serving as a base for Yak-38 aircraft and torpedo boats near Pine Valley.

Air Support

Your only air support will be provided by a lone F-15C, designated Gambler 1-1. Coordination with this aircraft will be crucial for effective engagement of enemy targets and maintaining air superiority.
