Description
This mod pack consists of various parts that make missiles and bombs prettier and more compact. My philosophy with this pack was to not take away the joy from making something yourself. Therefore, this pack mostly has blocks that were previously impossible to make using XML editing. And to make a good looking guided missile with anything more than the basic radar guidance, you are basically required to use XML editing.

Content of this Mod Pack

all blocks can be found under the tag "missile parts"

Half-Sized Blocks:
various blocks for building missiles at half the scale of the vanilla "small" blocks. These were previously impossible to XML edit, and - with a diameter of 125mm - enable you to build near 1:1 scale replicas of common heat seeking missiles.

Invisible Blocks:
some invisible blocks, to make your missiles and bombs visually more compact. To see the invisible blocks in the editor mode, turn on "Direction Arrows" on the right side in the editor.

Launch Tubes:
4 launch tube variants are included, which are meant to be XML edited, like 1x1 windows, except that the launch tube models are better optimized for this purpose. The advantage of doing this, over having physical "tube blocks" is, that they would pose a physical obstruction for the missile, and it could get stuck on launch.

Miscellaneous Stuff:
  • air ballute - works similarly to a parachute.
  • nose contact sensor - round version of the contact sensor. Useful for triggering on a low-acceleration impact
  • inline hardpoint system - useful for releasing a booster stage for example

  • half-scale tube to allow for a more true to scale MANPAD launcher
  • compact hardpoint solution to allow for a more compact MANPAD launcher

Would it be possible to get a laser beacon to put at the tail end for use in a system that functions similar to a tow missile?

@Halfeatendorito, the air defence truck in the 5th picture was a joint program between @archive and me. He provided the truck, i made the missile and weapon systems. We might upload it some time...

@Shadowgjhgitgjh, sorry for the late reply. The main philosophy with this pack is to add blocks that were previously impossible to achieve with XML editing. 1x1x1 rocket nozzle can already be made invisible, simple by giving it 0 width and 0 height through XML editing.

May I trouble you for a feature? Could we by chance get invisible solid rocket motors to make “kicker” stages for things like tow missiles and s-300’s without having to have an awkward motor hanging off the back?
