Project Geister is an experimental and convergent hallucinatory therapy designed to amplify unforeseen side effects of the Trials. Surviving subjects will learn to contribute to a morally hygienic Trial Environment through biohazard collection.

Geister is a limited-time program introduced as a Halloween Event that features a series of MK-Challenges and Trials where Reagents must ensure the collection of biospecimens is facilitated and that Reagent's extra-sensory activity is monitored under the influence of hallucinations. Program Geister was first introduced on October 26, 2023 as a part of Halloween Event and lasted until November 17, 2023.

In 2024, Program Geister returns on October 29, 2024 and will last until November 26, 2024. This new update also features a New Limited-Time Catalog: Geister, featuring both old and new exclusive cosmetics, a New MK-Challenge "Destroy the Box", a New Tennis Lobby Mini Game, as well as some improvements and fixes.

New Sleep Room Minigame: Tennis

Developed by Noakes in his free time, the new minigame is the first digital video game created by Murkoff and offered exclusively to Reagents.

New MK-Challenge

• Eliminate the Past – Would you be able to destroy enough boxes in a given time to give yourself a chance to escape?
  
  
• The new MK-Challenge is now available in the Project Geister. They’ve also been added to the Escalation Therapy map pool and will feature in the upcoming weekly program rotations.

New Tasks

• The Geister event introduces its own set of tasks.
  
  
• Tasks are divided into two parts, with each task rewarding Event Tokens, Stamps, and a random Geister item.
  
  
• Complete Part 1 of the Geister tasks to unlock Part 2.

Improved Jump Scares

• Brace yourself, because the jump scares when your sanity isn’t fully intact have been… enhanced.
  
  
• Exceptionally, these jump scare enhancements also happen even at full sanity in the Geister Program, thanks to the “Hallucinations?” variator.

Geister Catalog

A brand new Catalog is available for the duration of the time limited event. Some exclusive Geister items are also rewarded for Geister Tasks! Player can spend their acquired event tokens in the time limited catalog to unlock exclusive cosmetics. Earn Event Tokens and use them in the Event Catalog to unlock cosmetics. Once the event ends, the catalog will be removed, and any unspent tokens will be lost. Players who had already obtained older cosmetics from previous year does not need to be purchased again.

Geister Tokens

Finish Trials and MK-Challenges in Project Geister to earn Event Tokens. Complete the secondary objective in Project Geister Trials for extra Event Tokens. Accomplish Tasks in the Geister category to earn Event Tokens and Exclusive Items. Players can buy cosmetics from the Geister Catalog that can only be purchased for Geister tokens.

Geister Poster

Completing 10 Geister (Part I) tasks rewards the Geister (2024) Poster for the players as a customization for their Sleep Room.

Red Barrels posted another Murkoff Memorandum teaser of Project Geister announcing that it will start on October 29. Red Barrels also warned Reagents to be ready to question their reality and whether they will survive Murkoff's Convergent Hallucinatory Therapy.
