How to install sound mod

A simple, quick and updated guide on how to install a mod sound in War Thunder. It is worth remembering that using customizable sights, skins, hangars and sound mods is perfectly safe and authorized by Gaijin.

• All Steps

1. Go to:
 War Thunder Sounds Page [live.warthunder.com]



2. Choose your favorites. I recommend filtering by the most downloaded ones.

There are individual sounds for specific things, and there are sound packs for multiple things together. Most are compatible with each other, as long as they don't change a large set of the same things.



3. Go to the game installation folder (Usually in Local Disc C). 

If you use Steam, you can follow the path in the image:



4. Find the sound folder



5. Create a folder called "mod" inside the sound folder.



6. Transfer the mod files into the folder



7. Go back to the game folder and find the file: "config.blk", open it with notepad.



8. Press CTRL+F and type "sound". Then add the line of text before the brackets:

enable_mod:b=yes



9. Save (don't forget to save).



10. Open the game and test.
