It is the fishing gantry at the ports

What is the gantry, i cant seem to find the buttons move or turn anything on?

Huh. Alright, must just be some weird Stormworks physics thing. Well, one *more* weird Stormworks physics thing. Thanks!

Nope, no XML, only the use of the fins to keep it stable!
The Nameless Apr 1 @ 11:16pm
Hey, have you done anything with XML stuff to stabilize this thing's pitch? I'm asking because I can't find any of those pivots other guys use to do it, but despite that, it refuses to climb waves; even in light chop, the props are always coming out of the water. I can barely move unless it's almost dead calm. I thought it was the keels on the sailing rig I added, but now I'm running it in a moderate wind without that, and it's still jerking and stopping like crazy as the props are constantly being lifted up when the bow hits a wave and the boat refuses to pitch with it.

Yeah I noticed! I also, however, notice that the fuel level drops more quickly than your range calculator seems to account for. I suspect the range is closer to 50km than 150, which makes it difficult to get from the Arctic to the best fishing places without worrying about getting back.

Luckily, with some folding masts and twin keels, it does OK as a sailboat. I mean, I can't make it a racing yacht with as much as it weighs, but it'll cover some distance without burning any fuel, as long as there's wind.

That said, I could wish for a version with slower but more efficient engines, maybe a pair of small modular ones, and more fuel replacing the missing mass and taking up some freed-up space, for when there isn't wind...?

They go down much more because they spool from the pulleys!
The Nameless Mar 30 @ 11:58pm
Oh... Ok they do. Nevermind, this should be fun!

Holy guacamole, you actually got it so I can control the fish gantry from the boat. I've never seen that before. How in the world did you do it?? Trawling and crabbing are so much more attractive when you can do that.

Of course, I'm not sure I actually want to go out with this boat, since all the traps are on small winches which means they can only go down in about 8m depth, since they're about 2m above the water. Or do the pulleys change that?
