This is important

What you should know
Following the Far Harbor main story you have to unlock DIMA's Memories during the quest Best Left Forgotten. To proceed the main story you've to unlock only 3 out of 5 memories. But unlocking the fith and last, will also open a misc quest to find some Marine-Armor-Parts. Activating the quest will mark 3 locations off the coast where you've to go/dive.
Finding the parts without the quest
A complete set of Marine Armor can be found scattered across three steamer trunks located in wrecked ships off the coast of Far Harbor. Even when you're not unlocking the fifth and last of DiMA's Memories during the quest, you can have access to the parts too. Here are the 3 locations:

  • West of Haddock Cove look for the top parts of a sunken ship with a big exhaust. Dive and you'll find inside the ship a crate with the left and right leg of the Marine Armor.

  • Next stop is a sunken shipping container south/west of Rayburn Point. Starting at Rayburn Point, head to the coast and pass the fishing float in the water on the right side. Now swim around 50 meters south/west and dive. Inside the container you'll find a crate witn the Marine Armor chest and helmet and also the Marine Tactical Wetsuit and helmet.

  • East of the Harbor Grand Hotel you'll see the top parts of a sunken ship. Pass it and you'll see, around 100 meters behind it in the same direction, the top parts of another sunken ship.Swim to it, dive and you'll find a crate on the deck, with the right and left arm of the Marine Armor.

A almost full Zealot Marine Armor set (without the helmet) is also available for purchase from Kane, the Children of Atom's armor vendor in the Nucleus, every time his store is replenished.
The Tactical Marine Wetsuit with Helmet
During your diving trips you'll also find the Tactical Marine Wetsuit and helmet which will provide you a Damage Resistance of 5, Energy Resistance of 5 and a Radiation Resistance of 5 (for the location just look at the chapter above). Occasionally the parts are also sold by Brother Kane in the Nucleus. The Marine Wetsuit can also be worn under the Marine Armor.
But be prepared before you're starting
Independently if you complete DiMA's memorys or not, you have to dive into very deep locations. So if not owning the aquaboy/aquagirl perk you should do the side quest The Changing Tide from Captain Avery in Far Harbor first. Because after completing the quests you'll get the Rescue Diver Suit as an reward, which allows you to breath under water.
Different Versions of the Marine Armor
There are three versions of the Marine Armor. Ownig one, you can craft also the other two on an armor workbench. Beside the same properties, they still have different looks. So the "Inquisitor" and the "Zealot" looks more rusty (left pic), than the "Assualt".
The legendary Recon Marine Armor

The best of the best - The specialized Recon Marine Armor items are an almost complete set of legendary Marine armor versions, sadly witchout the legs. The other parts can only be purchased from various vendors around the island. For the legs you can also use the parts of the regular Marine Armor (see the first chapters).
  • Recon Marine helmet (Cunning effect - +1 Agility and Perception) - can be purchased from Brooks in Far Harbor.
  • Recon Marine chest piece (Sentinel's effect - Reduces damage while standing and not moving by 15%) - can be purchased from Cog in Arcadia.
  • Recon Marine right arm (Sprinter's effect - Increases wearer’s movement speed by 10%) - can be purchased from Sister Mai in the Children of Atom base, the Nucleus.
  • Recon Marine left arm (Martyr's effect - Temporarily slows time during combat when the Sole Survivor's hit points are at 20% or less) can be purchased from Kane in the Nucleus.
