Description
This mod improve the compatibility between 'Colonist Tech Background' and 'Arcane Technology', by allowing to restrict equipment at same time by pawn tech background level and researches done.

A tribal pawn will be able to use neolithic and medieval equipment without research required (regardless of the colony tech level), but also eltex gear, psychic lances and molotov.
Then after researches are done, he will also be able to use grenades, early guns (revolver, pump shotgun and bolt action rifle), gas mask and flak gear.
If he wants to use more advanced equipment, he will have to study to improve his tech background level.

An industrial pawn will be able to use most industrial equipment, but the researches are required for advanced weapons (chain shotgun, heavy SMG, LMG, Assault rifle, sniper rifle and minigun). He will also be able to use spacer equipment after researches (Royalty spacer melee weapons are linked to Advanced fabrication).
If he wants to use any equipement without research restrictions, he will need to study to improve his tech background level to finaly become a spacer pawn.

It should be noted that the starting pawns have tribal tech background, or spacer tech background. Pawns have no issue to use the regular starting equipment, nether the deserter pawn from quest, by example.

The recommended settings for 'Arcane Technology' are shown in preview pictures, but using the colony tech level allow to bypass the research requirements (tribal pawns could use revolver in industrial colony without 'Gunsmithing' researched...).


Changes can be easily made by editing the file 'EquipmentRules.xml', like mods support.

Yes, you should not.
Progression equipment is this mod with mods compatibility added.

Yeah sorry about that, my mod list is kinda dumb. I do have progression equipment; should I not be using these two together?

Com appears to be apparel ownership and pawnmorpher? Strange.

NotoShabby and AwesomeInventory are the same mod?
Same question for ToggeableShields and Owlchemist.
What is "com"?

Maybe try Progression: Equipment instead of this mod, probably better with huge modlist.

I'm sorry but I think I can do nothing, I haven't the skill to fix the code.
But I guess it would come from Animal Gear

I'm getting some conflicts between this mod and some others. Below is the hugslib, as well as a picture of the specific error, and a picture of the mods that were flagged in this error. The first one flagged "Notoshabby" is actually a mod named "Awesome Inventory" by NotooShabby.

@Rebel_Rabbit Thanks! Got the ok to use the source code, i'm gonna release it in a similar style to Progression Core where it'll be a collaborative open patching project with lots of support.

Can you release the mods compatibility patches separately with this mod as dependency?
I'm only interested to merge Anomaly patches (as I don't own the DLC to do it myself).

To use the assemblies in a fully separated mod, the question should be asked to Aos Si.
