Introduction:

Achievement Breakdown: (50)
Story Related: (32)
Secondary Objectives: (9)
Character: (5)
Collectibles: (1)
Slay: (1)
Miscellaneous: (2)

To earn 100%, we need to complete 1 full playthrough of the game on Deathinitive Difficulty & a very short half to one third playthrough of the game on NG+. The Level Cap for a base game is 22; the last 8 Levels can only be earned on NG+. What’s more, the final stages of the difficult Crucible Arena are only unlocked at Level 25 meaning it also must be saved for NG+.

This game has quite a few Collectibles that are tied to Secondary Quests & will add a lot of your time onto your first playthrough. There are no missable Achievements however, Collectibles & Secondary Quest progress does not carry over to NG+ so it must all be done in the same playthrough. If you do not complete all 21 Secondary Quests in the same run, you cannot earn The Secondary Adventure Achievement & it will get pushed to NG+ which will make your playtime much much longer.

For the most part, you don’t really have to stress too much about builds as we are able to Respec our Skill Points at will for 1000 Gilt. In early game, equipment should just be focused on good Damage & Defence. When you start getting further in, putting more of an emphasis on Critical Chance & Damage (Melee or Arcane) should become the priority as well as Weapons that have Life Steal on Critical. Since we are limited to only 5 Health Potions, being able to find ways to heal yourself without tapping into them is paramount for late game, especially for when we do the Soul Arbiter’s Maze & the Crucible.

The best Scythes in the game will most likely be Possessed Scythes that you build yourself. Possessed Weapons have basic stats right off the bat, but we can feed other Items to them to Upgrade them which increases their damage as well as gives them abilities from the fed Items. A Possessed Weapon can only take on four abilities, so depending on what you feed it, you may lock yourself into abilities you don’t actually want. Abilities such as Life Steal (On Critical), Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Arcane Crit Chance, & Arcane Crit Damage are typically the best to go after. I also like Ice Damage (not to be confused with Frost Damage) as you are able to temporarily freeze enemies which can be very helpful in mob situations. Base Defence, Health, & Arcane boosts can also be decent as well but shouldn’t be your focus.

Once you start getting Possessed Scythes (of at least your current Level), I do recommend Upgrading them as they can quickly out-damage any other Weapons you may find. If you get a new Possessed Scythe of a higher Level than your current one, Upgrade that as well to eventually replace your current Weapon (it will take a bit as even at a lower Level, an Upgraded Possessed Weapon can still do a lot of damage).

There are a few Additional Campaigns that we can unlock as we play through the game. These are optional & will give us Xp & loot, but have no associated Achievements; I recommend saving these for NG+ when you want to change your gameplay up when you are earning Xp for Level 30.

For those interested, here is an organized list of all the Achievements/Secret Achievements. This is how I derive my Achievement Breakdowns & the first reference I create before I begin my 100% journeys.

Before You Play!: For whatever reason, the Achievements in this game are super buggy on Steam. Save often, & if you notice an Achievement does not unlock when it is supposed to, quit immediately & retry earning it. Other times, you will unlock the Achievement but back on the Steam Dashboard it will say you DID unlock an Achievement but all of its information & image is hidden. If that happens, don’t worry, it will eventually sync up & look fine. It’s mostly when the Achievement does not unlock entirely that it becomes a problem.

I have heard using Shift + Tab to bring up the Steam Overlay can potentially cause the bug, but I have made efforts to never use it during a session where I have unlocked Achievements & it still ended up bugging out on me.

As a side note, playing the game above 60fps can potentially lead to really slow & glitchy menus (inventory, Leveling, etc.) & can frequently crash your game. If this happens, you may need to check your graphics software (such as your Nvidia Console if that is what you use) & turn down your locked fps for the game.

*Guide contains major spoilers.
Sequence 1: A Path to Redemption
1. The Forge Lands: The Veil, The Dark Fortress, Tri-Stone, Stonefather’s Vale, The Weeping Crag, Baneswood
2. Primary Quests: Find A Way to Save War, The Fire of the Mountain
3. Secondary Quests: The Maker Warrior, Shaman’s Craft, The Book of the Dead
4. Book of the Dead Pages: 2/40
5. Approximate Level: 3/30
6. Achievements: 2/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as we select a Save File, we will be asked to select a Difficulty. If you plan to complete this 100% in a single playthrough, be sure to select Deathinitive Difficulty. If you plan to do two playthroughs, select whichever Difficulty you like & save Deathinitive Difficulty for NG+. The choice is yours. Remember to never lower the Difficulty or it will void the associated Achievements!

The Forge Lands – The Veil:

Primary Quest #1 – Find A Way to Save War: When the game begins, we will have to take Death to the Dark Fortress to locate the Keeper of Secrets.

The Forge Lands – The Dark Fortress:

Primary Quest #1 – Find A Way to Save War: Enter the Dark Fortress, & our Tutorial will continue. As we kill Ice Skeletons, we will start collecting new Weapons & Armor. Be sure to pay attention to these as, in early game, we will be constantly swapping out gear.

Eventually, we will reach our first boss of the game, the Ice Giant.

Achievement #1 – Crow Carrion: Defeat the Crowfather.
Story Related. Get to the top of the Dark Fortress & we will confront the Crowfather. He will not help us in our Quest, & we will have to defeat him… though, he will take on the form of an old comrade…

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Primary Quest #2 – The Fire of the Mountain: When we awaken after passing through the portal, we will be in Tri-Stone & in front of Eideard, an old Maker. Defeat the Constructs that attack us, & we will then be tasked with locating Alya to learn about the Fire of the Mountain.

Levelling Up: For the Diamond Geezertron Achievement, we need to purchase the final Skill in either the Harbinger or Necromancer Skill Tree. To make your life so much easier on Deathinitive Difficulty, I strongly recommend going down the Necromancer Tree as the Ghoul Summons we get will really help us out!

Thane: When we enter Tri-Stone proper, there will be a few different people we can speak to. The first is the Basic Moves Trainer, Thane, who we can purchase new Combat Moves from. There is no way we can afford any of them (except for Harvester Revenge since it is free) but keep these in mind as we play; for the Full Potential Achievement, we will have to purchase all Combat Moves in the game.

Secondary Quest #1 – The Maker Warrior: While speaking with Thane, exhaust all the blue tinted dialogue to fight him & we will unlock our first Secondary Quest. He will most certainly defeat us unless you are an absolute master. But we now have the Quest logged; as we get stronger, keep testing your mettle against Thane & eventually we will defeat him…

There are 21 Secondary Quests in total to complete to earn The Secondary Adventure Achievement.

Muria: The next NPC we should talk to is the Talismans & Consumables Merchant, Muria. We can buy new Talismans from her but more importantly, we are able to sell our excess loot for more Gilt.

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: Select the blue coloured dialogue option with Muria, & she will give us our next Secondary Quest to locate some special ingredients for her to craft us a Talisman.

Our first Task will be to track down Karn & speak to him about where we may find these ingredients…

Primary Quest #2 – The Fire of the Mountain: Lastly, now go over to speak with Alaya, who also happens to be the Weapons & Armor Merchant in Tri-Stone. She will then explain to us the situation here at Tri-Stone & that to continue, we need to help them find a way to restore the Fire of the Mountain.

When we are finished speaking with her, head to the Northern exit of Tri-Stone & speak with Thane to be let out of the town.

Boatman Coins: When we leave Tri-Stone, we will see a pool of water a short ways down from the stairs in a pit below us. At the bottom of it, will be a Boatman Coin. Boatman Coins are traded with a… special Merchant, for Possessed Weapons.

Unfortunately, due to their nature, this is not the most optimal way of getting Possessed Weapons. Because of this, I won’t bother including the location of the Boatman Coins as there is no Achievement tied to collecting them all; there are 100 Boatman Coins in total scattered across The Forge Lands & beyond.

For the most bang for your buck, hoard all of your Boatman Coins until the very end of the game when we are Level 30 for the best odds of getting something half decent for the coins.

The Forge Lands – Stonefather’s Vale:

Book of the Dead Page #1: Enter Stonefather’s Vale, & there will be three separate exits to it. The exits to the West & North will be blocked off to us, but the exit to the East will be open towards the Weeping Crag.

Before leaving, ride to the far Northeastern corner of the Vale where there is a dead-end path that will end with this Book of the Dead Page. When we collect the Page, we will be attacked by three Prowlers!

Secondary Quest #3 – The Book of the Dead: We will unlock this Secondary Quest when we collect our first page from the Book of the Dead. There are 40 Pages in total we need to locate & collect to complete this Secondary Quest, & to unlock The Book of the Dead Achievement.

The Forge Lands – The Weeping Crag:

Vulgrim: Leave the Stonefather’s Vale through the East exit, & we will enter the Weeping Crag. Ride across the stone bridge, & the path will fork left & right. Take the left path up a small hill to overlook the flooded ruins below, & we will find Vulgrim.

Apart from being a Merchant we can sell to, he also provides the special service of selling us different tiered “Boxes” that contain random loot. These do require Boatman’s Coins, but as I mentioned before, rarely is the loot you get from these worth it unless you are a very high Level; no sense paying finite Boatman Coins for Items you’ll out Level in a few Quests…

Achievement #2 – Respec Yourself: Your First Respec.
This Achievement can be unlocked at any point since the very first time we met Vulgrim; a Respec costs 1000 Gilt & can be done infinitely.

All Skill Points, including free ones, will be re-useable so you can choose different (or the same Skills).

The Forge Lands – Baneswood:

Book of the Dead Page #2: Enter into Baneswood next, & in the center of the area, we can find a large tree. East of this tree, in between the exits to the Nook & the Charred Pass, we can find a Book of the Dead Page in behind a Maker statue guarded by two Construct Warriors.
Sequence 2: Heart of the Forge
1. The Forge Lands: The Cauldron, Tri-Stone, Stonefather’s Vale, Shadow Gorge, The Fjord
2. Primary Quests: The Fire of the Mountain, Tears of the Mountain
3. Secondary Quests: Shaman’s Craft, Lost & Found I, Lost & Found II, Sticks & Stones
4. Stone of Mystics: 2/34
5. Book of the Dead Pages: 4/40
6. Approximate Level: 5/30
7. Achievements: 6/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forge Lands – The Cauldron:

Primary Quest #2 – The Fire of the Mountain: Ride to the Cauldron now & we will need to help the Maker, Karn, fight off some Construct Warriors.

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: When the Construct Warriors are defeated, speak with Karn & ask him about the Tri-Stone shaman’s craft. He will mention that we can collect Stalker’s Bones from… Stalkers. They are an enemy we can fight here in the Cauldron fortunately…

Secondary Quest #4 – Lost & Found I: Continue speaking with Karn, & ask him about a favor next. Since we will already be exploring the Cauldron, Karn wants us to locate his misplaced silver platter & bring it back to him…

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: Enter into the Cauldron proper now, & the path before us will be very linear through the dungeon. When we reach the far Northern room on Floor 1, we will encounter a Stalker. The Stalker is actually very difficult & may take you a few attempts if you are low on Health Potions.

Once it is defeated, we will receive the Stalker’s Bone.

Skeleton Key: In the same room we defeated the Stalker in, we can find a Chest that contains a Skeleton Key we can use to continue.

Achievement #3 – Pathfinder: First use of Fast Travel.
As we discover new Areas, we will be able to Fast Travel to them. Also, when we are in dungeons, we can Fast Travel out of them & then return to the exact spot we left from.

If you are running low on Health Potions before or after our fight with the Stalker, feel free to return to Tri-Stone & stock up.

Book of the Dead Page #3: Briefly navigate along Floor 2 to be able to access the rooms at the Southern end of Floor 1. To obtain the Skeleton Key to continue, we will enter a room that will have a puzzle we need to solve involving two of those Moveable Balls.

In the Southeast corner of this room, we can find one of the Moveable Balls locked behind some bars; walk through a hole in the stone walls here beside the bars to find this Book of the Dead Page.

Skeleton Key: Complete the Moveable Ball puzzle & we will be able to collect this Skeleton Key from the Chest in this room.

Secondary Quest #4 – Lost & Found I: Use the Skeleton Key to enter the Southernmost room on Floor 1, & we will be able to climb up to Floor 2. Throw a Shadow Bomb across the lava pit at the Lever to pull up the cauldron, & we can jump across it to get to the other side. Over here, we can find the Journeyman Platter to the left of the stairs leading onwards.

Boss – Gharn: Shortly after collecting the Journeyman Platter, we will encounter the Boss of the Cauldron, Gharn. It is not too difficult to kill but is very tanky. Use your Ghouls to distract it while you wail on it from behind if you are a Necromancer.

Primary Quest #2 – The Fire of the Mountain: With Gharn defeated, carry on back to the main room on Floor 2 to find the control mechanism to expose the core of the Cauldron, & return lava flow back to Tri-Stone.

Book of the Dead Page #4: Still on Floor 2, look over to the right of the control mechanism & destroy the Boxes & Urns here to expose a hidden Book of the Dead Page.

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: Before we return to Tri-Stone, exit the Cauldron dungeon & speak with Karn about Mordant Dew. He will tell us it can be collected from the Stinger enemy we will find at the Drenchfort.

Secondary Quest #4 – Lost & Found I: Now return the Journeyman Platter back to Karn as well to complete this Quest.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Achievement #4 – Looks Familiar: Collect Redemption.
Story Related. Fast Travel back to Tri-Stone now & speak with Alya to complete Primary Quest – Fire of the Mountain. Not only will we unlock her as a Weapon & Armor Merchant, but we will also be given one of Strife’s pistols as a reward.

Achievement #5 – Fire of the Mountain: Complete Fire of the Mountain.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after completing Primary Quest – Fire of the Mountain.

Primary Quest #3 – Tears of the Mountain: The other task we need to complete to restore the Maker’s Forge, is to bring the Tears of the Mountain back. These are locked away at the Drenchfort, Southwest of Tri-Stone.

The Forge Lands – Stonefather’s Vale:

Secondary Quest #5 – Lost & Found II: Head to the entrance to Shadow Gorge in Stonefather’s Vale & speak with Karn for Primary Quest – Tears of the Mountain.

Ask him if he needs help, & he will tell us to keep an eye out for his helmet when we go to the Drenchfort…

The Forge Lands – Shadow Gorge:

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: As we pass through Shadow Gorge, we will eventually come across a Stinger Hive. Kill at least one Stinger that comes out of it, & we will collect some Mordant Dew.

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Blackroot: When we enter into the Fjord, ride/run along the cliffside at the West end of the area. Eventually, the ground will become covered in snow; just before it does, take a path uphill further West & we will encounter a new NPC called Blackroot.

Secondary Quest #6 – Sticks & Stones: Speak with Blackroot, & he will task us with collecting various Stonebites to feed to him. There are three different kinds, & unfortunately a lot of them… that we will have to track down.

As an interesting side note for this Quest, depending on the combination of Stonebites you give to Blackroot (in groups of three) we will receive different permanent bonuses to Stats. I highly recommend waiting until we have collected a good chunk of the different Stonebites before turning any in to maximize their potential yields; I will cover that in more detail a bit later…

Stone of Mystics #1: We can find our first Mystic Stonebite, the most common variety, close to where Blackroot is along the Western cliff wall at the top of the path. Shoot it down with Redemption to collect it.

Stone of Mystics #2: Ride through the Fjord towards the Drenchfort now. When we leave the snow, we will head down some twisting pathways through the cliffs leading South. When we round the corner looking West down these paths, look along the cliff wall to our right to find a Mystic Stonebite wedged in the rocks.
Sequence 3: Sacred Tears
1. The Forge Lands: Stonefather’s Vale, The Drenchfort, The Maker’s Forge, The Fjord, Shadow Gorge
2. Primary Quests: Tears of the Mountain
3. Secondary Quests: Shaman’s Craft, Lost & Found II, The Hammer’s Forge, Wandering Stone
4. Stone of Mystics: 5/34
5. Book of the Dead Pages: 6/40
6. Approximate Level: 6/30
7. Achievements: 7/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forge Lands – Stonefather’s Vale:

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: Before we enter into the Drenchfort, return to Karn in Stonefather’s Vale & speak to him about the location of our next material, a Carven Stone.

The Forge Lands – The Drenchfort:

Book of the Dead Page #5: Enter into the large main chamber of the Drenchfort & we will see a brief cutscene showing us where to go first. Before we head there, follow the upper pathway we are on towards the right, & we can see a part of the stone railing has broken away. Step off it & grab onto the ledge to begin free-running along the wall behind the central statue’s back to the far end. When the line stops, we will be above a hole in the wall we can drop in through to collect a Book of the Dead Page.

Stone of Mystics #3: Jump over to the platform the central statue is standing on now, & look across the aqueduct facing South to spot a Mystic Stonebite inset in the arch above a grated culvert.

Secondary Quest #5 – Lost & Found II: Leave the main room now & pass through the door to the East. In this first room, there will be another door to the East & another leading South. Go through the Southern door & we will need to defeat a few waves of Stingers & Prowlers. Once they are dead, we will then need to fight an Earth Crag mini-boss.

After the Earth Crag has been slain, we can locate the Journeyman Helm in the Southwest corner of the room close to the Chest. Be careful when you are fighting the Earth Crag as there is the potential to accidentally collect the Helmet during the fight & the Secondary Quest may not progress!

Primary Quest #3 – Tears of the Mountain: Carry on through the East wing of the Drenchfort & open up the waterways to restore flow to half the fort’s aqueduct system.

Skeleton Key: Return to the main chamber, & drop down into the water that is now filling it. Swim through a tunnel that will take us to the Western wing of the Drenchfort, & we will have to defeat a few waves of Prowlers as well as a Stalker mini-boss.

Once they are defeated, enter the next room & follow the drained aqueduct canals along to the Chest containing a Skeleton Key.

Primary Quest #3 – Tears of the Mountain: Use the Skeleton Key to continue into the next room, where we to complete a short Moveable Ball puzzle. Navigate over to the next Lever & pull it to restore the Western waterway.

Book of the Dead Page #6: With water now flowing, swim down the aqueduct to the room that leads back to the main chamber. The aqueduct will veer into the half-circled shape room to our left & fill it up. Before swimming through the hole in the wall to continue, climb up to a newly accessible ledge in the Northern part of the room to find a Book of the Dead Page hidden behind a stone block.

Boss – Karkinos: Pull a second Lever to let the water flow into the main chamber & we can continue to the boss room at the South end of the Drenchfort; be sure to stock up on Health Potions before you enter!

Karkinos is a massive Earth Crag that will charge at us, & stun itself if it hits a wall. When it does, it will drop on Earth Crag Egg which is a Moveable Ball we can punch into Karkinos to knock it over & make it vulnerable to our attacks. The Egg will hatch & release an Earth Crag we will need to kill in the process.

Achievement #6 – Grim Reaping: Unlock Reaper Form.
Story Related. Defeat Karkinos, & we will unlock Reaper Form, the equivalent to our Chaos Form in Darksiders 1.

The Forge Lands – The Maker’s Forge:

Primary Quest #3 – Tears of the Mountain: With Karkinos defeated, pull the final Lever & we can send the Tears of the Mountain down to Tri-Stone! Return back to town, & enter the Maker’s Forge where Alaya will be waiting for us.

Achievement #7 – Tears of the Mountain: Complete Tears of the Mountain.
Story Related. A Maker’s Key will be crafted & gifted to us by Eideard, which will complete our Quest & grant us this Achievement.

Secondary Quest #7 – The Hammer’s Forge: Speak with Alaya in the Maker’s Forge & she will tell us that her brother, Valus, is missing his favored hammer lost in the Shattered Forge. We will be tasked with collecting it…

Stone of Mystics #4: Before we leave, wander around the backside of Valus’ blazing forge, & we can see a Mystic Stonebite stuck to it; shoot it down.

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Secondary Quest #8 – Wandering Stone: Now that we have the Maker’s Key, we can now interact with dormant Constructs. Return to the Fjord, & head to the central Southern end of the area where that flooded ruin is. Swim across the water towards where the Crucible is marked on our World Map, & we can see a large dormant Construct, reminiscent of an Ancient Gate from Darksiders 1.

Activate it, & it will task us with reclaiming its lost body parts using its Heartsone Fragment.

Oran’s Right Leg: Swim back across the water & begin making your way back towards the Drenchfort. A little ways up the hill past the flooded ruin, look off your right to see the path diverge to a dead end, & we can find a piece of Oran. Activate it, & it will hop its way back to him…

The Forge Lands – Shadow Gorge:

Oran’s Right Arm: Ride through Shadow Gorge, past the open gate in the center of the area. Shortly after we pass it, we can spot the next missing piece to Oran out in the open on the side of the road leading towards Stonefather Vale.

Stone of Mystics #5: Now turn around & make your way over to the entrance of the Shattered Forge. Looking over at the building, standing at the edge of the broken bridge, look over to the right of the entrance to find a Mystic Stonebite stuck to the walls.
Sequence 4: The Will of the Makers
1. The Forge Lands: The Shattered Forge, The Maker’s Forge, Tri-Stone, Stonefather’s Vale, The Weeping Crag, Baneswoods, The Charred Pass, The Fjord
2. Primary Quests: N/A
3. Secondary Quests: Shaman’s Craft, The Hammer’s Forge, Wandering Stone, The Maker’s Chronicle
4. Stone of Power: 2/25
5. Stone of Mystics: 13/34
6. Book of the Dead Pages: 7/40
7. Approximate Level: 8/30
8. Achievements: 7/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forge Lands – The Shattered Forge:

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: Navigate through the dungeon, past the pretty difficult mini-boss fight with Construct Champions & Tainted Construct Warriors, & we will enter a room with a locked door that requires a Skeleton Key. Drop down into the pool, & dive down through an underwater cavern at its bottom to be able to climb up to where a Shadow Bomb is located.

Use the Bomb to destroy some Corruption across the way, & free-run along the walls to reach the door we revealed. Pass into the u-shaped room ahead, & we will have another mini-boss fight, this time with a Construct Sentinel. Kill the Construct Sentinel (these can be killed very quickly using Redemption), & we will acquire the Carven Stone.

Book of the Dead Page #7: When the Constructs have all been defeated, walk over to the Northwest corner of this room & destroy some Urns to find this Book of the Dead Page hidden inside one.

Skeleton Key: Carry on from our mini-boss fight to exit back into the previous room, in behind the barred gate now, to collect this Skeleton Key from a Chest.

Secondary Quest #7 – The Hammer’s Forge: Use the Skeleton Key to unlock the locked door & we can access the center of the main chamber. Open the Chest here to collect Valus’ Hammer, Splinter Bone.

The Forge Lands – The Maker’s Forge:

Secondary Quest #7 – The Hammer’s Forge: Fast Travel to Tri-Stone & head back to the Maker’s Forge to return Splinter Bone to Alaya & Valus to complete the Quest.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #2 – Shaman’s Craft: If you progressed this Quest far enough & were able to obtain the Carven Stone, we can return back to Muria & complete this Quest.

If you did not progress it, you will be able to complete this Quest later on after we complete Primary Quest #4 – To Move A Mountain…

The Forge Lands – Stonefather’s Vale:

Stone of Mystics #6: In Stonefather’s Vale, ride all the way to the far Northeastern corner of the area where we originally found a Book of the Dead Page. At the dead end, turn around & look up to your left to see this Mystic Stonebite off the side of the cliff walls.

The Forge Lands – The Weeping Crag:

Stone of Mystics #7: Now we have a little bit of mop up to do. Travel to the Weeping Crag & head over to where Vulgrim has his shop set up. At the bottom of the path that leads up to him, turn around & we can find a Mystic Stonebite attached to the side of the archway at the end of the bridge we just crossed.

The Forge Lands – Baneswoods:

Stone of Mystics #8: Enter into Baneswood & begin making your way around the area counterclockwise towards the Northern end. Almost immediately as we begin walking, we will come across a small ruin with some Construct Warriors in it. Free-run up to the second floor of the room where a Chest is (if you have not already looted it) & look back across where we climbed up to spot a Mystic Stonebite hanging off the wall.

Stone of Mystics #9: Continue heading counterclockwise around, & there will be a short plateau that we need to walk around. When we are able, walk up the path to get on the plateau & head towards the waterfall to the Northwest to see another Mystic Stonebite hanging off a boulder above some ruined pillars.

Stone of Mystics #10: Pass through the Southeastern gate into the area before the Charred Pass, & immediately ride up the hill off our right towards a small shrine where we can see a Mystic Stonebite attached to one of its broken off pillars.

Oran’s Left Leg: Continue riding down towards the Charred Pass & pass through the next gateway. On the other side of it, we can see a ruin off our left close to the cliff edge. Before we enter it, look at the cliff edge near the ruin to find another piece of Oran.

Stone of Mystics #11: Enter the ruin now & facing the statue in its center, look up at the ceiling’s left corner to see a Mystic Stonebite there. It can be difficult to shoot from down here & may require you to get up to the second floor.

The Forge Lands – The Charred Pass:

Stone of Mystics #12: Enter the Charred Pass now, & ride all the way down to the junction where the road branches off to the Scar. Look up at the ledges overhanging the path start, & we can spot a Mystic Stonebite on the one to our right.

Oran’s Left Arm: Ride down the path to the Scar now & we will come across another one of Oran’s pieces out in the open beside the road.

This is the final missing piece as well & we can now return to the golem to complete the Quest.

Stone of Power #1: Up above the entrance to the Scar, you can see the broken ends of a large pipe. Walk a little ways back up the path, & look inside the pipe to the right to faintly see a Power Stonebite we can shoot.

It is very difficult to shoot; just keep firing at it, & eventually one of your bullets will connect.

Stone of Power #2: Ride back to the central area of the Charred Pass we were in before, & head to the North end where we can find a ruined well. Dive down into this well & emerge into a secret cave. Free-run up & over to where a Chest is, then look back over to the wall we climbed up to spot another Power Stonebite.

Stone of Mystics #13: Exit the well, & start down the path towards the Cauldron. Shortly down it, we will encounter a ruined fortress off our left. Free-run up to its top, & enter into a small room where we can find this Mystic Stonebite.

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Secondary Quest #8 – Wandering Stone: With all four of Oran’s pieces located, return back to him at his resting spot across the bay to the South & rebuild him to complete the Quest.

Secondary Quest #9 – The Maker’s Chronicle: With Oran rebuilt, he will then task us with locating the Maker’s Chronicle to help restore the will of the people…
Sequence 5: Last March of Constructs
1. The Forge Lands: Tri-Stone, The Fjord, Baneswood, The Nook, The Lost Temple, The Maker’s Forge
2. Primary Quests: To Move A Mountain
3. Secondary Quests: The Maker’s Chronicle, Lost & Found II, Lost & Found III
4. Stone of Power: 3/25
5. Stone of Mystics: 15/34
6. Book of the Dead Pages: 9/40
7. Approximate Level: 10/30
8. Achievements: 8/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #9 – The Maker’s Chronicle: Head to Tri-Stone, & speak with Muria about the location of the Maker’s Chronicle. To find it, we will first need a Lodestone… & to find THAT, we need to collect some Shadow Leaf Seeds for Muria. Fetch quests within fetch quests…

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Secondary Quest #9 – The Maker’s Chronicle: Return to the Fjord now & begin killing Prowlers & Stalkers for a chance to receive a Shadow Leaf Seed; keep killing the enemies until we receive 6 of them.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #9 – The Maker’s Chronicle: With that unnecessary detour complete, bring the Shadow Leaf Seeds to Muria & she will give us a Lodestone.

The Forge Lands – Baneswood:

Secondary Quest #9 – The Maker’s Chronicle: The Lodestone will lead us to the North end of Baneswood over to where those small pillars are near the waterfall. As we approach, we will use it to perform telekinesis on the Maker’s Chronicle… which has just been chilling on top of one of the pillars this entire time? Who put it up there & forgot about it?

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Secondary Quest #9 – The Maker’s Chronicle: With the Chronicle in hand, go to the Fjord & swim back over to Oran to finish this Quest.

The Forge Lands – The Nook:

Stone of Mystics #14: With our previous distractions completed, it is time for us to press on to the Lost Temple. To reach it, we first must pass through the Nook which is accessed through Baneswood.

Enter the Nook, & navigate to the other side of the central chamber where we will need to destroy a Stinger Nest. Before we carry on North, head South in this room to pull a Lever to open up a shortcut back to the beginning. Pulling the Lever will also unlock the way for us down to the floor. Free-run down into the massive fiery sub-level, & enter into the following room with two elevators in it. Free-run or take the first elevator up to Floor 1, then look out across to the Northwest corner of the room to spot a Mystic Stonebite.

Down here we will also spot the massive fiery bat demon, Bheithir, flying around; don’t worry about him right now… he is a pretty difficult “later problem”.

The Forge Lands – The Lost Temple:

Secondary Quest #5 – Lost & Found II: True to form, we can find Karn standing outside the entrance to the Lost Temple. With the Journeyman Helm in hand, return it back to him to complete this Quest.

Secondary Quest #10 – Lost & Found III: Karn will give us a final Quest to locate his missing compass. Naturally, we will find it in the Lost Temple.

Stone of Mystics #15: Defeat the Construct Sentinel mini-boss fight & we will need to obtain a Moveable Construct to smash some Corruption out of the way. Take the Moveable Construct back to the previous room, & smash the Corruption crystals to the West. Once they are destroyed, look down through a circular hole blocking our way to spot a Mystic Stonebite in it.

Skeleton Key: Use the Moveable Construct to fire a chain across the hole so we can get to the other side. Complete a simple puzzle using a Moveable Ball, & we can collect the Skeleton Key we need to continue from a Chest.

Secondary Quest #10 – Lost & Found III: After a grueling slog through a prolonged Construct Sentinel mini-boss fight, we will scale up some walls near a waterfall to reach an idyllic fountain shrine; we can find the Journeyman Compass on a pedestal in the shrine.

Book of the Dead Page #8: Carry on into the next room & we will have to complete a puzzle involving two Moveable Constructs to continue. Once the puzzle is complete, & the door is now unlocked, backtrack to the corridor at the Southmost end of the room to see a previously barred section now open with a Book of the Dead Page in plain view.

Stone of Power #3: Navigate through a large outdoor area of the temple, & enter back inside through the next room after a difficult mini-boss fight involving Savage Stalkers. Free-run up to Floor 2, & look up to the Southeast to spot a Power Stonebite.

Book of the Dead Page #9: Shoot down the Moveable Ball while we are up here, but do not drop back down to Floor 1 yet. Instead, leap across some wooden beams to a small room where we can find this Book of the Dead Page out in the open.

Boss – Construct Hulk: As always, be sure to stock up on Health Potions before engaging the boss. The Hulk will smash the ground, & Inert Bombs will fall off the walls. Grab one & throw it onto the Hulk, then shoot it to make it vulnerable to our attacks. If you have it available, using Reaper Form will decimate the boss’s health bar.

Primary Quest #4 – To Move A Mountain: With the Construct Hulk destroyed, activate the Ancient Gate, the Warden.

Definitely inspired by Tree-Beard, this one…

Elite Gear: If you are perceptive, you may notice a Chest behind the Warden as we speak to it. If you return all the way back through the Lost Temple & open it, there is a high chance you may receive an Elite Tier (Purple lettering) piece of gear. For the Mass Ruckus Achievement, we need to equip Elite gear in all 7 equip-able gear slots we have. Whenever you find Elite gear, do not sell it until we unlock the Achievement, unless you can replace it with a different one!

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Primary Quest #4 – To Move A Mountain: Speak with Eideard back at Tri-Stone about the Tree of Life, & we will complete this Quest.

Achievement #8 – To Move A Mountain: Complete To Move a Mountain.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after we complete Primary Quest – To Move A Mountain.

The Forge Lands – The Maker’s Forge:

Secondary Quest #10 – Lost & Found III: Karn will have made his way back to Tri-Stone, & we can return the Journeyman Compass to him to complete this Quest as well.
Sequence 6: The Wrath of Karn
1. The Forge Lands: Tri-Stone, The Weeping Crag, The Nook, The Foundry
2. Primary Quests: Heart of the Mountain
3. Secondary Quests: The Maker Warrior, Find & Kill Gorewood
4. Stone of Resistance: 1/10
5. Stone of Power: 4/25
6. Stone of Mystics: 15/34
7. Book of the Dead Pages: 11/40
8. Approximate Level: 10/30
9. Achievements: 9/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #1 – The Maker Warrior: By this point, you should be strong enough to take on Thane in a fight. Play defensively, & do not let your health get too low. If possible, use your Ghouls to distract Thane & let them do most of the work for you if you are spec’d out for it.

Basic Combat Moves: If you have not already been doing so, consider chipping away at purchasing Combat Moves from Thane in Tri-Stone; they may give you an extra edge in battle! I do recommend buying them all out when you can, it will run us 38,000 Gilt for all 10 of them.

Secondary Quest #11 – Find & Kill “…”: With the previous Secondary Quest for Thane completed, he will then give us four individual Secondary Quests to kill some difficult bosses scattered across the realm.

The Forge Lands – The Weeping Crag:

Secondary Quest #11 – Find & Kill Gorewood: Our first target, Gorewood can be found inside a hidden ruin in the Weeping Crag.

Skeleton Key: From the locked door outside the ruin, free-run along the side of the wall to its right to get up into the dungeon. Follow the linear paths through it until we eventually reach the Chest containing the Skeleton Key.

Book of the Dead Page #10: Use the Skeleton Key to continue onwards, & we will eventually reach a long corridor with water at its bottom. Free-run along the walls all the way to the far North end, & we can find another Book of the Dead Page.

Book of the Dead – Chapter #1: At 10 Pages, they will combine into the first Chapter of the Book of the Dead; we can sell these to Vulgrim to receive Bone Keys…

Secondary Quest #11 – Find & Kill Gorewood: From where we collected the Book of the Dead Page, drop down into the water & dive down, quite a ways, all the way to sub-level B3. Progress through here to find Gorewood’s secret boss room.

Gorewood has few attacks with the most annoying being its entangle ability. Stay as close as you can in behind it, & use your Ghouls to distract it. All in all, it is not too difficult for a boss.

Stone of Power #4: Before we leave Gorewood’s boss room, look up along the East wall to the right of the waterfall, & we can spot a Power Stonebite attached to the side of a ledge.

Secondary Quest #3 – The Book of the Dead: With Chapter #1 of the Book of the Dead in our possession, go see Vulgrim & sell it to him. Ignoring the pitiful sum of Gilt we receive, we will also be given one of four Bone Keys that unlocks a Death Tomb.

The Forge Lands – The Nook:

Death Tomb #1: Fast Travel to the entrance of the Lost Temple, & we can find a large Door with four different coloured runes on it & a large dragon statue perched upon it. Use our newly acquired Bone Key & we will open the first of four Death Tombs.

Apart from a hoard of good loot, we can also receive a secret Skill Point from one of the Chests. There are a few of these in the game & they will stay with us if you end up Respecing your Skills as well!

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #11 – Find & Kill Gorewood: With Gorewood dead, return to Thane to complete this Quest.

While Bheithir is also located in the Forge Lands, we will not be able to reach it until we collect a certain piece of equipment… & even then… he is quite difficult to fight.

The Forge Lands – The Foundry:

Primary Quest #5 – Heart of the Mountain: Pass through the Maker’s Forge to the outer area & speak with the Warden. He will task us with restoring his kinsman, Oran… which we will already have done fortunately. Since that is done, the Warden will raise the bridge to the Foundry…

Stone of Resistance #1: Enter into the second room of the Foundry, & there will be cauldrons moving around the room on a conveyor belt. Face them from where we entered the room, & one of them will have a Resistance Stonebite stuck to it. If you miss it, you will have to wait for it to circle back to you.

Primary Quest #5 – Heart of the Mountain: When we reach the Guardian, we will need to locate three Hear Stones to power it up; they are scattered throughout the Foundry.

Skeleton Key: For our first Heart Stone, take the Northeast tunnel out of the Guardian’s chamber, & solve a series of puzzles to get from the East wing to the West wing of the Foundry. At the end of a free-running section & a short mini-boss fight with a Construct Champion, we can obtain this Skeleton Key from a Chest.

Achievement #9 – The Spectral Touch: Collect Deathgrip.
Story Related. Use the Skeleton Key to proceed up to Floor 2, & Karn will toss us across the gap to a room containing this handy new piece of gear.

Book of the Dead Page #11: Leave the room we collected the Deathgrip in, & walk towards the edge facing Karn. Drop down, & grab the ledge, then carefully let go. As we fall, we will see an Anchor Point we can latch onto & pull ourselves up to a secret room to the North underneath where we were.

Follow the passage along & use the Deathgrip to free-run up a wall up to a ledge above where we can collect a Book of the Dead Page.

Heart Stone #1: Now that we have the Deathgrip, return back to the Guardian’s chamber. Take the door that leads West, & we will take an elevator all the way down to sub-level B1. Complete a series of free-running puzzles, & we can knock the Heart Stone down for Karn to carry back to the Guardian.
Sequence 7: The Tree of Life
1. The Forge Lands: The Foundry, Stonefather’s Vale, Tree of Life
2. The Kingdom of the Dead: Tree of Death, Leviathan’s Gorge, The Breach
3. Primary Quests: Heart of the Mountain, The Tree of Life
4. Secondary Quests: Lost Relics
5. Stone of Resistance: 1/10
6. Stone of Power: 4/25
7. Stone of Mystics: 15/34

10. Approximate Level: 12/30
11. Achievements: 13/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Forge Lands – The Foundry:

Achievement #10 – The Triple Lindy: Complete 3 different high dives in the Foundry.
Once the first Heart Stone is attached to the Guardian, the way to access the second one will be unlocked. Navigate to the far Southeast room on Floor 1 to locate the next Heart Stone. At the East edge of the room will be a large inactive waterwheel; free-run up to a ledge way above it. On this ledge will be two half circle balconies overlooking the water below that are missing a portion of their stone railings. Leap off the first one into the water, then climb all the way back up to the ledge & leap off the second; as we fall into the air, Death will nosedive & perform a unique diving animation.

The third is found on this same ledge, & found slightly North along it from the first two, but is much smaller & is a complete half circle.

High dive off all three of them to unlock the Achievement.

Skeleton Key: Restore water flow to the area & the waterwheel will begin turning. Before jumping into the water to continue on, consider leaping across to the nearby ledge with a Chest on it to obtain the Legendary Maker Armor set.

Return back to the main area, & the waterwheel will have turned on a conveyor belt moving some cauldrons. On the bottom of some of the cauldrons, will be a Shadow Bomb; grab it with Deathgrip, & we can throw it into some Corruption to destroy it. We can find a Skeleton Key in a Chest behind them.

Heart Stone #2: Use the Skeleton Key on the locked door, & destroy the Moveable Construct in the crusher machine to release the Moveable Ball it rides on. Roll the ball into the room we unlocked, & we can get up to where the next Heart Stone is & knock it down.

Heart Stone #3: The final Heart Stone is fortunately easy to access & is in the room immediately South of the Guardian. Complete a simple free-run section & we can knock it down for Karn, but of course if you couldn’t tell from its colour, it is Corrupted.

Boss – Corrupted Custodian: This is not too difficult of a Boss & can be easily defeated just by staying behind it.

Primary Quest #5 – Heart of the Mountain: Place the final Heart Stone in the Guardian & it will awaken, & leave for the Stonefather’s Vale!

The Forge Lands – Stonefather’s Vale:

Boss – The Guardian: Chase the Guardian into Stonefather’s Vale where we can confront it. Phase one for the Guardian is the easiest to fight. Wait for it to slam its hammer down, dodge it, then fire at the Shadow Bombs attached to its arm to dislodge it; we can then use the Deathgrip to attach ourselves to the first Heart Stone & attack it.

After the first Heart Stone is destroyed, we now have to face the Guardian’s cannon arm. Mount Despair, & fire at the Grinder balls it launches at us. When the Grinder’s health is 0, quickly ride in behind the Guardian so that when the ball boomerangs at us so it hits the Guardian instead. Once again, use the Deathgrip to attach to the second Heart Stone & destroy it.

Achievement #11 – Dust to Dust: Defeat the Guardian.
Story Related. Fortunately for us, there is no phase three, & after we deal with the Guardian’s cannon arm, we will just destroy the rest of it in a cutscene. We will unlock this Achievement after the Guardian is resurrected by Eideard & destroys the Corruption blocking our path to the Tree of Life.

Achievement #12 – Heart of the Mountain: Complete Heart of the Mountain.
Story Related. This Primary Quest will complete after the Guardian clears the path to the Tree of Life, & the Achievement will unlock at the same time as the previous one…

Tree of Life:

Primary Quest – The Tree of Life: Ride through the Verdant Hollow, & we will arrive at the Tree of Life.

Achievement #13 – Tree of Life: Complete The Tree of Life.
Story Related. Approach the Tree of Life, & we will unlock this Achievement as soon as the cutscene begins… just dishing out the Achievements at this point.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Tree of Death:

Primary Quest – The Lord of Bones: When we try to commune with the Tree of Life, we will instead be taken across realms to the Tree of Death. Fortunately, we can travel between the Kingdom of the Dead & the Forge Lands at will if we return here…

The wise old Merchant, Ostegoth, has told us that to find what we seek we must locate the Well of Souls… & the Lord of Bones.

Secondary Quest #12 – Lost Relics: We will also receive this new Secondary Quest from Ostegoth as well… another Collectible hunt.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Leviathan’s Gorge:

Relic of Etu-Goth #1: Ride through the Craglands into Leviathan’s Gorge, & we will approach a bridge guarded by Skeletons. Before we cross it, follow the cliff edge along to the East & we can find our first Relic tucked off to the side.

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Breach:

Skeleton Key: Continue South, into the Breach & we will need to locate a Skeleton Key to continue. Drop down to Floor 1 then quickly free-run across a mechanical spike trap wall to reach where the locked door is. From here, navigate over to the far Northeastern room & use the Inert Bombs to push in the Lever while we are across the first bridge to lift the second one; I had to draw a line with the Bombs so they would explode, & push in the Lever.

Cross the second bridge, & we can grab the Skeleton Key from a Chest.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Maw:
As we play through the Kingdom of the Dead, you may encounter Possessed Weapons as random loot from enemies or Chests. We need to hold onto at least one so we can unlock the Feeding Time Achievement.

Relic of Khagoth #1: Exit out into the Maw, & head over to the wooden bridge crossroads. Take the Western path & begin making your way towards Serpent’s Peak. At the top of the hill, the path will continue West; head straight South instead & we can drop down to a balcony that has a Chest & a Lever on it. Push in the Lever then quickly free-run up the wall to collect this Relic.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Serpent’s Peak:

Stone of Mystics #16: As we head down the path into Serpent’s Peak, there will be an offshoot to the trail off our left that will lead up to Vulgrim. Turn around from him, then look up to the ceiling when we go to re-enter the main tunnel to see this Stonebite attached to a stalactite.

Primary Quest – Lord of Bones: Ring the bell at the end of Serpent’s Peak, & we will summon the Eternal Throne over. Get to it…

The Kingdom of the Dead – Eternal Throne:

Draven: Navigate along the exterior of the Eternal Throne & we will enter inside the main proper. Here we can find the Master of Blades, Draven, who will teach us Advanced Combat Moves. Chip away at these if you have the Gilt to spare…

There are 12 Combat Moves to purchase from Draven totaling 112,000 Gilt.

Achievement #14 – Full Potential: Unlock all Combat Moves & Upgrades.
Purchase all 10 Basic Combat Moves from Thane & 12 Advanced Combat Moves from Draven for a total of 150,000 Gilt. This can be chipped away at throughout the game & done at any time you have the Gilt to spare; you’ll be swimming in Gilt unless you frequently buy new Weapons or Armor.

Stone of Resistance #2: From Draven, walk towards the middle Southern part of the Eternal Throne, & we can take some stairs down to Floor B1. Down here we can find the Serpent Tome where we can check our mail. While facing it, look along the right-hand side of the room in behind some brown cloth hanging off of a wooden pillar; there will be a Stonebite attached to it.

The Crucible: Access the Serpent Tome now, & we will actually have some new mail to read. Read the Letter, Gift From Anonymous, to receive an invitation to fight in the Crucible. The Crucible is a DLC area that is included with our Deathinitive Edition of the game.

The Crucible is our final challenge for this 100% & will only be fully accessible to us when we reach Level 25 – only beatable at Level 30…

Achievement #15 – The Lord of Bones: Complete The Lord of Bones.
Story Related. Go to seek an audience with the Lord of Bones, but we will instead speak with the Chancellor. To see the Lord of Bones, we must kill the champion of the Gilded Arena.

We will unlock this Achievement when we complete Primary Quest – Lord of Bones.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Gilded Arena:

Book of the Dead Page #12: Leave the Eternal Throne now, & we can find Ostegoth has relocated to the entrance of the Gilded Arena. To the left of the arena doors, we can find this Book of the Dead Page tucked around the corner.

Stone of Mystics #17: Enter the Gilded Arena & pass through the second door. Before we reach a set of spiral stairs leading down, look to your right to see this Stonebite attached to a statue’s sword.

Relic of Renagoth #1: Make your way to the very bottom of the spiral staircase & pull the Lever to unlock the exit. Leave the Gilded Arena into the Maw & follow the cliff edge along to the Southwest; hidden in behind a large boulder, we can find this Relic on the cliff edge. You will need to carefully walk under some roots to grab it.

Primary Quest – The Toll of Kings: Return into the Gilded Arena & head up to Floor 1 now to proceed further in. Rotate the Lantern to open up the next door, & proceed to the arena, where the skeletal guardians will tell us what we need to do to lure out the Champion.

We will need to locate three Animus Stones. Of course, it couldn’t be quick…

Relic of Renagoth #2: Head over to the Eastern side of the arena, & climb up a ledge to get to the Floor 2 balcony above us, then another ledge to get to Floor 3. Here we can free-run & use a Deathgrip Anchor to help us get across to where this Relic is in the upper Northeast corner of the arena.

Stone of Mystics #18: Now begin making your way through the Eastern doorway & we will take some spiral stairs down to Floor B2. Pass through the door down here & we will be locked in a room & have to fight off waves of Skeletons. Once they are all defeated, look up to the ceiling to see this Stonebite attached to some iron grating.

Stone of Mystics #19: Enter into the following room & we will need to solve another puzzle using a Lantern. Get the Lantern to its holder, & we will be able to progress North into a cavernous room with some iron cages hanging from the ceiling; our Stonebite can be found in one of these cages.

Animus Stone #1: We can find our first Animus Stone in that same cavernous room where the previous Stonebite was found.

Stone of Power #5: When we have the first Animus Stone, we will need to find a way back to the arena. When we enter the same room as the Lantern, a side passage will open up to us leading to the East. Pass through the door ahead, & look to our left on the ceiling of a small alcove to spot this Stonebite.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #1 – Level 5 W, W, N, E: In this same alcove, look along the walls to spot the letters W, W, N, E painted in red. With your full camera on them, we will unlock a Soul Arbiter Scroll.

These scrolls will give us coordinates to help us navigate the Soul Arbiter’s Maze. When we find all of them, we will be able to make it through & defeat the Soul Arbiter himself…
Sequence 9: And the Dead Keep It
1. The Kingdom of the Dead: Gilded Arena, Eternal Throne, Sentinel’s Gaze, The Maw, The Breach
2. Primary Quests: The Toll of Kings
3. Secondary Quests: N/A
4. Stone of Resistance: 3/10
5. Stone of Power: 6/25
6. Stone of Mystics: 19/34

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – Gilded Arena:

Book of the Dead Page #13: Return to the arena & place the first Animus Stone inside the vessel to unlock the Western passage to us. Navigate to the far Western room of this area, & use a second Lantern to raise up a drawbridge we can cross; this Book of the Dead Page will be directly across it.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #2 – Level 2 E, S, N: Navigate South now into the next room, & pass underneath a stone walkway to the other side. Look to our right around the corner, & we can find this Soul Arbiter Scroll as a physical object to collect this time.

Relic of Etu-Goth #2: Complete the final Lantern puzzle, then proceed down the broken spiral staircase in the Western area. Drop down level by level until you reach Floor B2; we can find this Relic at the top of the broken stairway on this Floor.

Animus Stone #2: Proceed to the final room of the Western wing, & defeat some waves of Scarabs & Skeletons to be able to collect the second Animus Stone.

Animus Stone #3: Return back to the arena & place the second Animus Stone in the vessel to unlock the Northern wing now. Fortunately, after a tough fight with some Skeleton Champions… two fights… use the ol’ Shadow Bomb on the Lever trick to get us into the chamber where we can collect the final Animus Stone.

Though we have a Scarab Hulk mini-boss fight to complete…

Boss – Gnashor: Place all three Animus Stones in the vessel & we will summon the arena’s champion… which will be a worm? Not what I was imagining.

Use Deathgrip to pull it onto its side when it rears up to do some damage. After a few strikes, it will fully assemble itself, & the boss fight will begin in full. Stay behind it when you can, & if possible, take advantage when it roars to rip it apart with Deathgrip for some easy damage.

Rip Gnashor to pieces, & we will collect the Golden Skull.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Eternal Throne:

Achievement #16 – Feeding Time: Level Up Your 1st Possessed Weapon.
When you have a (any) Possessed Weapons, select it & you will see an option that says Upgrade. Here you are able to “feed” other Weapons or Armor to give the Possessed Weapon Xp.

Feed the Possessed Weapon enough gear to raise its current Level at least once, & we will unlock the Achievement.

Possessed Weapons can & will most likely be acquired throughout the game as random loot. If somehow you do not receive one, we can use 20 Boatman Coins to purchase a Legacy Box from Vulgrim which will give us a random Possessed Weapon.

Achievement #17 – The Toll of Kings: Complete The Toll of Kings.
Story Related. With the Golden Skull in hand, return to the Chancellor & we will at long last have an audience with the Lord of Bones.

Achievement #18 – By Your Command: Collect the Interdiction Stone.
Story Related. To reach the Well of Souls, the Lord of Bones will first task us with waking the three Dead Lords of the Abyssal Plains. To do this, he will give us the Interdiction Stone.

Relic of Etu-Goth #3: Before we leave the Lord of Bones throne room, unapologetically walk in behind his throne to collect this Relic.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Sentinel’s Gaze:
The first of the three Dead Lords we will bow low, will be Phariseer. To reach their tomb, we will head South through the Maw. As soon as we cross over the bridge at the crossroads, we will discover Sentinel’s Gaze.

Relic of Etu-Goth #4: Enter into Sentinel’s Gaze, & navigate down & across to the large room on Floor B1. Go to the Northwestern corner of it & we can climb up on top of a small building that has a Shadow Bomb on it. Look in behind one of the burning braziers here to find a Relic.

Stone of Power #6: From this roof, look up to the top of the central building here to see a large skeleton statue. On the backside of this statue, we can faintly make out a Stonebite on its back; carefully shoot it down with Redemption.

If you cannot seem to make the shot, we will be coming back here later on & will be getting closer to that statue…

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Maw:

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #1 – Level 2 N, N: Leave Sentinel’s Gaze back to the Maw, & head directly West from its entrance over to a stone ruin. Free-run up to the top of the ruin & navigate past some barred Chests to the other side, where we can find this new type of Soul Arbiter Scroll in an alcove on the opposite side of the Chests.

These are not really necessary for anything but will lead us to extra loot on each of the ten floors to the Soul Arbiter’s Maze.

Lantern Puzzle: At the top of the ruin will be an easy Lantern puzzle we can complete. Do so, & it will unlock a side area in the outdoor area of Floor 2 in the Breach.

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Breach:

Stone of Resistance #3: Navigate up to the outer area of Floor 2 in the Breach & we can loot a whole bunch of Chests here. Head over to the far side of where we came up, & we can find a Resistance Stonebite up on some rocks around the corner.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – Phariseer’s Tomb:

Primary Quest – Phariseer: Leave the ruin (you can complete the Lantern puzzle at the top for a whole bunch of Chests…) & enter into Phariseer’s Tomb.

Stone of Mystics #20: Navigate through a few rooms on Floor 4 & we will reach a room with an elevator in its center with four numbers around it. Before touching anything, look up to the Southeast corner of the room to spot a Stonebite in one of the candle-lit alcoves.

Book of the Dead Page #14: Ignore the elevator & head through the doors to the East on Floor 4. Defeat all the Mummies in this room, then look in behind the large statue in the far corner of the room to see a Book of the Dead Page behind it.

Book of the Dead Page #15: Return back to the elevator, & let’s head down to Floor 1 (if you head to Floor 2, we can briefly see Phariseer). At the bottom here, head to the open room to the East of us & look up to your left as you enter the room to spot a Deathgrip Anchor on the wall. Use it, & free-run up the wall to an alcove where we can find this Book of the Dead Page.

Skeleton Key: Enter the Northmost room on Floor 1, & we will have to solve a puzzle using Deathgrip & lowering cages to get across to the far side. Throw the Inert Bomb attached to the second cage onto the Lever, get back to where we entered the room, shoot the Bomb, & then time your Deathgrip to launch across. On the far side, we can find this Skeleton Key inside a Chest.

Relic of Etu-Goth #5: With the Skeleton Key, we will need to defeat a mini-boss fight involving some Wraiths. Get back to the elevator & use the Skeleton Key to continue on through Floor 3. We will have yet another mini-boss fight involving Wraiths, & to make matters worse, an Undead General at the end.

After the fight is finished, head over to the Northwestern corner of this room & destroy the Crates here to reveal this Relic.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #2 – Level 3 N, S, E: Leave the room we are in & enter a short corridor to the North. As soon as we enter it, there will be an alcove with cages to our left & right; walk in behind the cage to our left to find this Sacred Scroll.

Stone of Power #7: Return into the elevator room on Floor 3 but on the upper level, & free-run across the room to the far East side. As soon as we enter the room, we can spot this Stonebite attached to the face of a statue looking directly at us.

Primary Quest – Phariseer: Navigate the Moveable Pillar below the elevator on Floor 1, then free-run your way above it. Take the elevator down to Floor 2, & with the pillar there to catch us, we can continue onwards.

Boss – Phariseer: Get to Phariseer’s chamber on Floor 2, & of course, he will not come with us quietly… fortunately he is not very difficult if you have Ghouls. Whittle his health down, kill his summons… rinse & repeat.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #3 – Level 6 E, E, E, S: Before we leave Phariseer’s Tomb, navigate back down to Floor 1 which we can do by just dropping off the elevator on Floor 2 to the North. Pass into the Southmost room down here, & use Interdiction to summon Phariseer & have him open the way ahead for us.

In the next room, destroy the Corruption behind the statue using a Shadow Bomb, then drop down into the lower level full of Chests. Before we do anything, walk over to the far Northeastern corner of the room & look along the wall to see E, E, E, S painted in red here.

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Maw:

Stone of Mystics #21: Return to the Maw now, & continue on Southward. At the far Southeast end, to carry on, we must pass through a way castle. Before you enter it, look up to the left of the entrance & we can see a Mystic Stonebite in one of the windows.

Use Interdiction to command Phariseer to open the way for us, & we can pass through the way castle to enter the Spine.

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Spine:

Soul Arbiter Scroll #3 – Level 3 W, E, N, N: We can find this next Soul Arbiter Scroll as soon as we exit the way castle before we take the stairs down into the Spine.

Stone of Power #8: Turn back to face the way castle, & we can see some grapple points along the outer wall. Free-run up them & get to the top where a Chest will be. Look above the ledges we just climbed to see a Power Stonebite stuck to a piece of iron jutting out of the wall.

Relic of Etu-Goth #6: Approach the entrance to the Soul Arbiter’s Maze but do not enter it; we will be saving this for much later in the game. Instead, turn around & walk towards the cliff edge off your left; walk in behind a sharp looking boulder close to the entrance & we can find this Relic next to the cliff edge.

Book of the Dead Page #16: Backtrack South through the Spine & we will need to cross a large stone bridge to continue. Get to the four-way junction on the bridge, & continue to the short dead end to the East where we can find a Book of the Dead Page in a corner.

Relic of Renagoth #3: Now travel all the way to the far Southeast corner of the map, up a small hill. At the cliff edge here, we can find a large column like boulder close to an isolated tower. Walk behind the boulder along the cliff edge to find a hidden Relic.

Stone of Power #9: Now climb up to the top of the isolated tower where we can find a Chest. Before we climb back down, look across the gap where we need to free-run & we can spot a Power Stonebite stuck on the wall.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – Judicator’s Tomb:

Primary Quest – Judicator: Now it is time for us to locate the next Dead Lord found in Judicator’s Tomb.

Stone of Power #10: Use Interdiction to enter the third room of the tomb & before we drop lower down, look up where we stand at the ledge to see a Power Stonebite on the underside of a hanging cage.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #4 – Level 4 E, W, N, S: In the same room, use the help of Interdiction to get across the gap & over to the exit door at the South end of the room. Before passing through it, look in behind the pillar that doesn’t have a Chest behind it to see this Soul Arbiter Scroll.

Primary Quest – Judicator: Enter the main hub of the dungeon, & we will encounter Judicator himself. He will only leave with us back to the Lord of Bones if we help him locate the three lost souls… somehow trapped in his own tomb. That he rules over.

Relic of Khagoth #2: Enter into the West wing of the Tomb & we will have to defeat a Lich mini-boss. Carry on through the Lantern puzzle room & across a bridge/hallway into the base of a flooded tower. Drop down into the water here & swim down underneath the stairs to find this Relic.

First Soul: Navigate to the top of the flooded tower in the West wing & we can find the First Soul trapped inside a cage. Free them, & we will have to defeat another Lich.

Boss – Tormentor: With the First Soul freed, we can now enter into the East wing of the Tomb. When we enter the first room, we will need to fight off waves of enemies that will end with a bloated Tormentor boss.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #5 – Level 6 S, E, E, N, N: After the Tormentor is defeated, enter the small side room located to the right of the locked door, & we can find this Soul Arbiter Scroll coordinates painted on the wall in red.

Book of the Dead Page #17: Now we need to go & locate the Skeleton Key to continue. Enter into the next room to the North in the Eastern wing, & use Interdiction to help us make it through. Free-run along the walls, & use the Deathgrip to grab onto Phariseer while he is turned to stone.

Enter the corridor just past where we have Phariseer planted, & we can find this Book of the Dead Page on top of some rubble where the passage caved in.

Relic of Etu-Goth #7: Carry on through the room & get up to Floor 2. Pull the Lever & we will open up the doors to continue, but we will also reveal a wall with a Deathgrip Anchor on it. Walk down the small set of stairs we initially came up, & we can free-run up some wooden ledges to navigate to that new Deathgrip Anchor. We can find this Relic underneath where a rare loot Chest is.

Skeleton Key: Proceed into the room we just unlocked earlier, & we can find the Skeleton Key in a Chest close to where we enter.

Book of the Dead Page #18: Use the Skeleton Key to enter into the East wing tower now. Use the Deathgrip to free-run up a short column in the center of the tower, then use the Deathgrip again to get higher up on the wall. Instead of carrying on to the left, leap off the Deathgrip Anchor to our right, & we will land on a broken piece of stairway below us where a Book of the Dead Page can be found.

Second Soul: Get to the top of the East wing tower now, & we can find the Second Soul. Free them, & we will have to defeat an Undead Stalker mini-boss.

Book of the Dead Page #19: Enter into the South wing now & we will have to defeat an Undead General mini-boss. Get to the top of the elevator shaft & enter the next room where the South wing tower is. At the top of the stairs, before we enter the room with the Final Soul, walk around the sides of the iron railing & we can find a Book of the Dead Page at the backside of where we came up.

Stone of Mystics #22: Enter the room with the Final Soul now. When facing his cage, turn around & look up to see a Mystic Stonebite above where we entered the room.

Boss – The Bone Keeper: Free the Final Soul, & we will have to defeat the Bone Keeper. Defeat its summons & strike it down to kill it… which is when it will turn into the much more difficult, Bone Giant. It fortunately does not have too much health… & isn’t actually much more difficult at all.

Primary Quest – Judicator: Take the Final Soul back to Judicator, & he will join our cause. We will also meet Basileus, who will challenge us to face him in the Psychameron…

The Kingdom of the Dead – Psychameron:

Primary Quest – Basileus: To reach Psychameron, we first need to return to the Gilded Arena & speak with the skeletal guardians to open the gateway.

Relic of Renagoth #4: After a difficult welcoming fight, we will progress a few rooms into Psychameron & be blocked by a locked door. With the help of Interdiction & our two Dead Lords, navigate down to Floor B1 by using Deathgrip to grab onto a Dead Lord Anchor. We will be in a narrow passage on Floor B1; walk a little ways up the path to a T-Junction, then turn around to look back the way we came. Up above us, we can spot a Deathgrip Anchor on the wall; use it, & we can get up to a ledge with this Relic.

Skeleton Key: Carry on down to Floor B2 now & use our two Dead Lords to push in some Levers to let us get the Skeleton Key.

Stone of Mystics #23: After some more Interdiction puzzles, & a mini-boss fight with a Bone Giant & some Undead Scarab Hulks, we will enter into a massive cavern (though the path ahead is linear). From where we entered the cavern, turn around & look above the door to find a Mystic Stonebite.

Relic of Etu-Goth #8: Continue through the massive cavern now, across a rickety wooden bridge & there will be a few Undead Scarabs waiting for us. Before we press on, head up a small set of stairs to the West & we can find this Relic at the top of them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – Psychameron:

Boss – Basileus: Get to the far end of the massive cavern, & if you looked at your Map, you know this is a dead end… & a very large room. The boss isn’t who you first assume however, & Basileus will arrive to duel us…. Briefly.

Boss – Basileus/Achidna: That massive monster that has been stalking us throughout the Psychameron will drop in to assist Basileus after we take out a fifth of his health. Achidna is a very big target, & though her attacks are devastating, so long as you keep up on your healing you & your Ghouls can burn through her health quickly.

Achievement #19 – The Court of Bones: Defeat Basileus.
Story Related. Defeat Achidna, & mash Basileus into the ground until he bends the knee. Once he is defeated, he will ride with us.

Secondary Quest #13 – Find & Kill Achidna: Conveniently, Achidna was actually one of the four legendary monsters that Thane had tasked us with killing; that’s one less.

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Eternal Throne:

Achievement #20 – Mass Ruckus: Equip Elite (Purple) Items to all 7 slots.
This Achievement is not as bad as it sounds if you have been keeping it in mind. We need to collect & equip a “Purple Tier” Scythe, Secondary Weapon, Shoulder, Armor, Gloves, Boots, & a Talisman.

Anytime you loot any of these 7 Items, hold onto it & do not sell it; you only need one of each though, so you can sell off the more expensive ones if you get “doubles”. If you are flush with Gilt, you can also purchase Elite Items from Merchants as well, though I would only do this if they were better than what you have equipped. Otherwise, just continue through the game, & horde an Elite Item for each slot; when you have them all, equip them to unlock the Achievement. Elite Items have the highest chance to drop on Deathinitive Difficulty as well!

Only “Purple Tier” Items count. Not Possessed or Legendary (Yellow & Orange).

Possessed Weapons: Speaking of Possessed Weapons, since we are on Deathinitive Difficulty, you probably have picked up a couple of them. These Weapons have basic stats right off the bat, but we can feed other Items to them to Upgrade them which increases their damage as well as gives them abilities from the fed Items.

Primary Quest – Basileus: Now it is time to return to the Lord of Bones & tell him that we have done as he commanded.

Achievement #21 – Death Will Tear Us Apart: Collect the Soul Splitter.
Story Related. The Lord of Bones will punish the Dead Lords & make them even more dead. As a reward, our Interdiction Power will be replaced by Soul Splitter; now we can manually control & accomplish what the Dead Lords helped us do.

The Kingdom of the Dead – City of the Dead:

Primary Quest – City of the Dead: We must now locate the one who can tell us how to reach the Well of Souls; they will be found inside the City of the Dead.

Book of the Dead Page #20: As we progress into the City of the Dead, we will encounter a mini-boss room with some Undead Champions & an Undead General. After they are defeated, head over to the Southwest corner of the room up a small set of stairs to find this Book of the Dead Page.

Book of the Dead Chapter #2: After collecting our 20th Book of the Dead Page, we will complete Chapter #2. If we take this back to Vulgrim, we will receive a new Bone Key…

Relic of Renagoth #5: Enter into the central room of the City of the Dead, & walk over to the currently barred door at the Northern end. Head down some stairs in front of this door, then look off your right over towards an iron grate with mist coming through it to find this Relic.

Skeleton Key: There is only one way for us to go, & that is over into the Western wing of the City of the Dead. Using Soul Splitter, navigate through the next few rooms & get up to Floor 2. Carry on straight from the stairs, ignoring the path to the left (there is a Chest we can grab that way though), & we can drop down into a hole that will take us to the Skeleton Key.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #6 – Level 7 S, W, E, E, E: Use the Skeleton Key to enter into the Eastern wing now & free-run over to the South side of the room. In the back Southwest corner here, we can find the coordinates S, W, E, E, E painted in red on one of the pillars.

Book of the Dead Page #21: Get up to Floor 2 in this room now by free-running back & forth up two vertical walls. Before interacting with the Rotating Lever, walk to the far-right corner of the balcony to find this Book of the Dead Page.

Book of the Dead Page #22: Complete the puzzle in the Eastern wing that will unlock access to the Lantern back in the central chamber. With the Lantern, return back into the Western wing & place it into the holder. Position the Lantern holder now to face the iron gate to our left to give us access to a dead end with a Book of the Dead Page in plain view.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – City of the Dead:

Relic of Etu-Goth #9: Exit outside in the City of the Dead in the Western wing, & climb up to Floor 2. Enter the next room & approach the Lever we need to pull to rotate the bridge in the center of the room. Turn around from this Lever, & we can find this Relic in a small corner along the wall.

Stone of Power #11: Use Soul Splitter to rotate the center bridge to access the other two sides with us on it. Approach the barred gates to the East, & we can be cheeky & jump around them to the left onto a small broken ledge nearby to bypass them. Exit further outside where we can find a Chest & a Power Stonebite on the wall beside it.

Stone of Resistance #4: At the end of the Eastern wing on Floor 2, we will have a large mini-boss fight involving an Undead General & three Tormentors. Get up to Floor 3 now by racing a burning elevator & we will exit outside the ruins once again.

Defeat a mini-boss fight with an Undead Stalker & we will unlock the way forward. Before heading up the stairs, look off to the North of where we are to spot this Resistance Stonebite attached to the top of a small tower.

GnoMAD's Gnomes #1: Navigate up to Floor 4 now & we will need to use Soul Splitter to push in a Lever to allow us to progress. The Pressure Plate we stand on here will switch over two wall pieces to a Deathgrip Anchor & a wooden handhold. Get one of our Souls holding onto the wooden handhold, then step off of the Pressure Plate so the wall flips over & our Soul is now on the other side of it.

Control that Soul & we can explore a secret room. Head down some stairs & we can find a strange gnome floating near a rare loot Chest.

Secondary Quest #14 – GnoMAD’s Gnomes: Collecting our first of four GnoMAD Gnome will unlock this new Secondary Quest for us…

Skeleton Key: Back in the central room on Floor 4, we need to rotate the massive Lantern beam to allow us passage into Floor 4 of the Western wing. Defeat an Undead Scarab Hulk mini-beast fight, & we can get up to Floor 5 to collect a Skeleton Key.

Book of the Dead Page #23: Use the Skeleton Key to gain access to Floor 4 of the Eastern wing. As soon as we pass through the door, we can destroy some Crates in the corner to our left to find this Book of the Dead Page inside one.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #4 – Level 8 N, S, S, E, N: Free-run across a gap in the room & we will need to use Soul Splitter to open up some iron gates so we can grab a Moveable Platform. In the room where the Moveable Platform is, look along the walls to see N, S, S, E, N painted in red.

Primary Quest – City of the Dead: Push in the Lever we blew Corruption off of in the central chamber, & we will take the massive Lantern holder all the way down to Floor 1 which we can use to proceed to the Northern wing.

Boss – The Wailing Host: It wouldn’t be a dungeon if there were not some hulking boss at the end of it.

Achievement #22 – Soul Crushing: Defeat The Wailing Host.
Story Related. Especially if you have fully maxed out Ghouls, you should be having no issues with the latest bosses we have been facing. Defeat the Wailing Host & we will unlock this Achievement.

Additional Campaign – The Abyssal Forge: Defeating the Wailing Host will also grant us access to the Abyssal Forge Additional Campaign; there are no Achievements associated with it.

Additional Campaigns can be accessed via the Main Menu.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Serpent’s Peak:

Bone Key #2: Before we progress the Primary Questline, there are a few errands we must do first in the Kingdom of the Dead. Go to Serpent’s Peak now & head over to see Vulgrim. Sell him the Book of the Dead Chapter #2 & we will receive Bone Key #2.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Lair of the Deposed King:

Stone of Power #12: In Leviathan’s Gorge, we can find the entrance to the Lair of the Deposed King. When we enter, take the spiral staircase all the way down to Floor B4 & enter the bottom room. Here we can spot a Power Stonebite attached to the statue dragon head of a Death Tomb.

Death Tomb #2: Use the Bone Key #2 we just received from Vulgrim & open up the Death Tomb. Inside we can get some great loot, as well as a Secret Skill Point.

We can also collect the Demonheart Talisman. This special Talisman will convert any Weapon that was supposed to drop as a Common Tier (White) into a Possessed Weapon instead. Extremely useful, do not sell!

Skeleton Key: Take the spiral stairs back up, & pass through the door on Floor B3. Complete a free-running section, & it will take us to a dead end that has a Chest with our Skeleton Key in it.

Relic of Etu-Goth #10: Now head up to Floor B2 & we will drop off some broken stairs to a walkway below us to continue; look under these stairs to find a Relic.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #5 – Level 1 S, E: From where we dropped off to find the Relic, look up at the wall close by us to the South & we can see some wooden handholds. Free-run up the wall, take a left, & free-run up to a secret balcony above to find this Sacred Scroll.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #6 – Level 7 S, S, W, N, N: Use the Skeleton Key, & take an elevator down to Floor B3. At the bottom, we can see two caves to our left & right full of frozen Ice Skeletons. Enter the cave to the South, & we can find this Sacred Scroll tucked in behind a statue of a skeletal guardian.

Boss – The Deposed King: Carry on into the room ahead now & we will find the Deposed King… he is very hard & most likely beyond you at this point in the game. If you want, you can try to kill him, but otherwise we will be returning here later on to finish him off…

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – Sentinel’s Gaze:

How to Get to Boneriven: As our last side business, we will go to Boneriven. To reach this side area, Fast Travel to Sentinel’s Gaze & head inside. Navigate up the tower, & there will be Corruption blocking our way. Use Soul Splitter, & have one Soul head over to where the Shadow Bomb is; pick it up then stand close to the edge. Use the other Soul still up near the Corruption & walk it close to the edge to look at your Soul holding the Bomb; use the “Bomb Soul” to aim at the “tower Soul” & throw it at them. Your “tower Soul” will catch it out of the air & can then destroy the Corruption.

Next send your “tower Soul” up to the top of the tower, & stand by the edge to overlook your “Bomb Soul” once again. Swap to the “Bomb Soul” & have it collect another Bomb. Aim at the “tower Soul” & throw the Bomb at it so it is caught.

Destroy the second Corruption & it will reveal a rare loot Chest; behind the Chest, is a hole in the floor we need to drop through…

The Kingdom of the Dead – Boneriven:

Stone of Mystics #24: Drop through the floor in the Sentinel’s Gaze tower, & we will arrive in the secret area, Boneriven. Proceed through the next few rooms until the path splits with one carrying on along Floor 1 & another with a short bridge leading off to Floor 2. Carry on down Floor 1 & we will reach the third iron blockade that we need to raise; directly above us down here, we can see a Mystic Stonebite attached to a stalagmite.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #7 – Level 4 W, E, N: Pass through the third iron blockade now & make our way back up to Floor 2. Use Deathgrip to get across a gap, & we will enter a corridor with lots of little alcoves coming off of it. Enter the third alcove to our right & we can find this Sacred Scroll.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #8 – Level 5 W, N, S: Pass through the fourth iron blockade & we will head up to Floor 3 next. Defeat the Scarab mini-boss fight, & pass through the fifth iron blockade. In the following room, it will be another long corridor with many alcoves; enter the fourth alcove to your right to find yet another Sacred Scroll.

We can also collect the Keen Talisman in the first alcove off our right as well.

The Bloodless: Get to the end of Boneriven, & we will be rewarded with a unique Scythe. In this room, will be an ethereal Scarab Hulk that we cannot damage; you may have encountered a few of these so far… open up your Map, & Fast Travel to the Eternal Throne. Do not remove this Dungeon Waypoint from Boneriven, or you will have to navigate all the way back here again!

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Eternal Throne:

Secondary Quest – The Bloodless: Back at the Eternal Throne, go & speak with Draven & ask him about the Kingdom of the Dead. Draven will give us the Bloodless Talisman that will allow us to kill Bloodless if it is equipped.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Boneriven:

Bloodless #1: Fast Travel back to our Dungeon Waypoint placed at the very end of Boneriven, & put on the Bloodless Talisman; kill the ethereal Scarab Hulk.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Leviathan’s Gorge:

Stone of Resistance #5: As our last order of business, Fast Travel to the entrance of the Lair of the Deposed King, but do not enter inside. Instead, turn around & make your way towards the bridge leading over to the Craglands. At the Southwest corner of the bridge, we can see a stone wall with some wooden handholds. Free-run along them & down some wooden posts to get to the underside of the bridge.

Using Deathgrip, navigate along the underside of the bridge & use the wooden post in the center to drop down to some Corruption. Look off the side of the ledge to see more Corruption, & a Shadow Bomb out in the open. Drop off the ledge & slash the Bomb to destroy all the Corruption here; this will cause us to fall & take damage so make sure you have the Health for this maneuver. Now a second Shadow Bomb is exposed which we can use to clear the way ahead under the bridge.

Continue on to the next section under the bridge, & we will need to use Soul Splitter to lower some iron bars. Use one of our Souls to carefully shoot an Inert Bomb on the side of the wall to clear the final bit of Corruption; it can be a tricky shot. Navigate that Soul across the way & turn around when you face the rare loot Chest to see a Resistance Stonebite stuck to the upper right corner of the ceiling.

The Kingdom of the Dead – The Maw:

Bloodless #2: Fast Travel to the Maw outside the Breach, & travel South to the crossroads bridge. Head West across the bridge & take the winding trail to the Northwest (North from Serpent’s Peak) to find some ledges that will drop down to a ruin. Before doing so, turn around from the ledge & search the area close by with the Bloodless Talisman equipped to reveal the second ethereal Scarab Hulk.

Stone of Power #13: Drop down into the ruins ahead of us now & enter inside. While we cannot complete the puzzle here yet, go & stand close to or on the Pressure Plate & turn around to face the entrance; we can see a Power Stonebite up in one of the interior windows.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Lair of the Deposed King:

Bloodless #3: As our last errand, enter back into the Lair of the Deposed King & navigate down the spiral staircase to Floor B2 & head over to where the elevator is. Still on Floor B2, head to the room East of the elevator & we can find our final ethereal Scarab Hulk in the Kingdom of the Dead.

As of now, apart from killing the Deposed King, we have no more side business or Collectibles to find in the Kingdom of the Dead!

The Kingdom of the Dead – Tree of Death:

Primary Quest – The City of the Dead: With our business here finished, return back to the Tree of Death. Before we pass through the Portal to Lostlight however, pass through the Portal to the Forge Lands instead; we have some errands to tidy up here…

The Forge Lands – Stonefather’s Vale:

Bloodless #4: Fast Travel to the Stonefather’s Vale, & ride over to the far Northern dead end, East of the entrance to the Tree of Life. Here at this dead end, equip the Bloodless Talisman to reveal an Ethereal Stalker.

The Forge Lands – Baneswood:

Bloodless #5: Now Fast Travel to Baneswood & pass through the Southeast archway into the next section leading towards the Charred Pass. In this section, head to the Southwest corner up a small hill & we will encounter the next Ethereal Stalker.

The Forge Lands – The Scar:

We can also now enter a side dungeon called the Scar. Fast Travel to it, & enter inside.

Skeleton Key: In the Scar, we will be harassed by a flaming Construct that refers to itself as Ghorn (he was the very first Boss we fought in the Cauldron but has been upgraded). Progress through the dungeon until we reach the far Western room on Floor 1. Using a Moveable Construct & Deathgrip, we can navigate to the top of the room across some lava where we can loot the Skeleton Key from a Chest.

Book of the Dead Page #24: After we collect the Skeleton Key, turn around from the Chest to look back the way we came to see some wooden handholds to our left higher up the wall. Free-run along them & we will be taken to a secret ledge with a Book of the Dead Page on it.

Boss – Ghorn: Carry on to complete the Scar, & defeat Ghorn.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #16 – Spark of Life: Fast Travel to Tri-Stone after defeating Ghorn, & we will receive a notification that we have completed a portion of a brand new Secondary Quest – Spark of Life. Return to the Shaman, Muria, & turn in the Secondary Quest.

This could have been collected beforehand if we had spoken with her before entering the Scar.

Secondary Quest #13 – Find & Kill Achidna: While we are here in Tri-Stone, go & speak with Thane to tell him that we killed Achidna to complete the Quest.

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Bloodless #6: Fast Travel to the Fjord, & we can use Deathgrip to get onto the flooded fortress in the center of the area; just Northeast of the bay. Up top here on this first level, we can find the final Ethereal Stalker overlooking the bay.

Stone of Power #14: Ride over to the far East end of the Fjord, up a small hill, & we can enter into a small dungeon. Head up the stairs over to a large square tile on the floor & turn around to look above where we entered to see this Power Stonebite.

Book of the Dead Page #25: While still in the dungeon, use Soul Splitter to place a Soul on two Pressure Plates found up some small stairs, & it will raise up that large square tile so we can get up to the next level. Solve another Pressure Plate puzzle, & it will drop some iron bars letting us collect this Book of the Dead Page.

Secondary Quest #6 – Stick & Stones: By now, we have quite a few different Stonebites that we can take back to Blackroot. If you give Blackroot a combination of three Stonebites we will receive a permanent Stat boost. These are the combinations:

Personally, I strongly recommend using your Stonebites to boost your Crit Chance or Crit Damage (melee or Arcane depending on your build). All the other Stats can be acquired in much more noticeable amounts just from equipment whereas just having innate boosts to your Criticals, regardless of equipment, can be super useful. Stonebites cannot be refunded either, so whatever you spend them on is forever!

The Forge Lands – The Nook:

Book of the Dead Page #26: Go to the Nook now & venture into the central chamber on Floor 1. From here run up the wall in the Southwest corner & use Deathgrip to get up to Floor 2. Grab a Shadow Bomb in front of us & use it to destroy some nearby Corruption to reveal this Book of the Dead Page.

We can also use Soul Splitter in the Northwest corner here of Floor 2 to find a Chest that contains a Skill Point.

Bheithir: Down on Floor B1, we can see the fiery bat demon, Bheithir, circling the room. Use Deathgrip to get across to a broken bridge, & it will begin the boss fight. The hardest part of this fight is avoiding Bheithir’s flame breath; when you see it about to use it, run to the opposite end of the bridge.

This can be a tedious fight as any time you are launched off the bridge, or use Deathgrip to evade Bheithir’s flame breath, the demon will fly away & you have to wait for it to come back.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #17 – Find & Kill Bheithir: With Bheithir slain, return back to Thane in Tri-Stone to complete the Quest.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Eternal Throne:

Secondary Quest #15 – The Bloodless: Return back to the Kingdom of the Dead, & speak with Draven in the Eternal Throne to tell him that all Bloodless have been slain.

Tree of Life/Death:

Achievement #23 – City of the Dead: Complete City of the Dead.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lostlight – Tree of Life:

Primary Quest – The Key to Redemption: When we arrive in Lostlight, we will be at another gateway accessed by the Tree of Life. To find the first of two keys to the Well of Souls, we will need to travel to the Crystal Spire.

Lostlight – Lostlight:

Vulgrim: Leave the Tree of Life & begin riding through Lostlight. Ride to the end of a larger open area we enter when we leave the cavern passage & continue straight towards a Chest. Further down the pass where the Chest was, it will reach a dead end where we can find Vulgrim.

Relic of Etu-Goth #11: We can find this Relic behind a tree directly to the right of where Vulgrim is.

Stone of Mystics #25: Leave Vulgrim & continue to ride down the path to the Crystal Spire. As we progress, we will shortly see the entrance to Death Tomb #3 off our left; look above the entrance to see a Mystic Stonebite.

Book of the Dead Page #27: Ride on until you reach the bridge that leads to the Crystal Spire. Before we cross it, look to the right of the bridge to find a Book of the Dead Page in the corner past a broken archway.

Lostlight – The Crystal Spire:

Primary Quest – The Key to Redemption: Ride across the bridge to the Crystal Spire now & we will be accosted by some Corrupted Angels. As we fight them, one of the Hellguard will come to aid us; his name is Nathaniel.

Secondary Quest #18 – The Lost Soul: Continue speaking with Nathaniel & tell him you have other business here in Lostlight. When we do, he will give us his scroll & ask us to deliver it to the Chancellor back in the Kingdom of the Dead.

Stone of Mystics #26: After we finish speaking with Nathaniel, venture down the stairs towards the Corrupted circle, then turn back to face Nathaniel. Look off your left & right to see two angel statues with large swords; we can find this Mystic Stonebite attached to the leftmost statue’s sword.

Stone of Mystics #27: Now head over to the rightmost angel statue to find another Mystic Stonebite attached to this one’s sword as well.

Relic of Renagoth #6: Follow the courtyard around to your right, all the way to the far Southeastern corner where we can find a Relic at the dead end.

Stone of Power #15: Take the elevator up the Crystal Spire now & we will exit outside on an upper level. To progress, we will have to head around the outer tower counterclockwise & need to use some wooden handholds to get across to a Shadow Bomb. Before you do, look near the handholds to spot this Power Stonebite above a statue’s head against the tower.

Primary Quest – The Key to Redemption: Get to the top of the Crystal Spire, & we will meet the Archon. Before we will be given the key, we must first assist him in retrieving the Rod of Arafel… from Earth.

Earth:

For whatever reason, Earth is very buggy. At multiple locations when you try to progress, you may be blocked by an invisible wall. If this happens to you, immediately quit the game & try again!

Save often, & if you get the invisible wall glitch do not Save your game! No matter how much progress you will lose, you must immediately quit your game & reload; if the game Saves while the area is glitched, you will be permanently unable to progress & your game can be completely ruined!

Sometimes Fast Traveling to a different Realm & returning can fix this, but it is risky to do.

Primary Quest – The Rod of Arafel: When we arrive on Earth, we will have to fight off the Swarm & help out some surviving members of the Hellguard. After they are slain, speak with the Angel’s captain to learn more about the situation & where to find the Rod.

Secondary Quest #19 – Light of the Fallen: Continue speaking with the captain, & ask her how many Angels have been lost in the fight against Hell. She will ask us if we can free the souls of fallen Angels, trapped here in death by the Destroyer; there are 10 of these fallen Angels we need to free…

Stone of Mystics #28: Now it is time to explore. From where we arrived on Earth, look up at a building to the North found across the street from the Nordic Games (cheeky) headquarters & we can find a Mystic Stonebite outside the third floor.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #7 – Level 8 N, W, N, W, E: Travel to the far Northeast end of Floor 1 & we can drop down into a small hole in the roadway where we can find this Scroll.

Trapped Hellguard #1: Pass through a nearby building at the Northeast end & enter the next street. Follow the street down to the East, & look off your left to see an Angel stuck to a wall in a claw-like prison; shoot it down with Redemption or the angelic Redemption Cannon.

Book of the Dead Page #28: Navigate to the far Northeastern end of Floor 1 & we will reach a small passage that has a Chest nearby it. Before heading through the passage, search around behind us where the red spines are to find a Book of the Dead Page near one.

Trapped Hellguard #2: Enter down into Floor B1 & take a short set of stairs into the first room. Before we progress further, we can find a Trapped Hellguard pinned to the wall in the Southwestern corner of the room.

Trapped Hellguard #3: Continue further through Floor B1 until we head down some more stairs & reach a T-junction. Take a left down the junction towards the Southwest, & we can find another Trapped Hellguard in one of the alcoves down the corridor.

Stone of Mystics #29: Up ahead, we will enter a large room with a strange glowing crystalline growth blocking our way to the North. In the center of the upper part of the room, will be a broken metal bridge; stand in the middle of this bridge & look to the upper left portion of the ceiling to spot a Mystic Stonebite attached to it.

Relic of Renagoth #7: Approach that weird crystalline growth to the North, & carry on down the walkway past it to the right to find this Relic in behind some red spines.

The Staff of Arafel: Destroy the crystalline growth blocking our way, & we will receive one of three pieces to the Rod of Arafel.

Earth:

Book of the Dead Page #29: Just past the Arafel Growth, we will need to head up some stairs next. Up the first set, we can see a Book of the Dead Page above us on some piping; use Deathgrip to collect it.

Primary Quest – The Rod of Arafel: Return back to the Hellguard captain now that we have the first piece of the Rod, & she will open up the way to the Southwest for us to progress.

Book of the Dead Page #30: Carry on down the newly opened passage & we will enter an old sewer tunnel. As soon as we enter it, look to your left to see a Book of the Dead Page at a dead end.

Book of the Dead Chapter #3: With 30 Pages collected for the Book of the Dead, we will now acquire Chapter #3… only 10 more Pages left.

Stone of Mystics #30: Exit out of the sewer tunnel back into the city, & we will have to fight off a wave of the Swarm & kill a Suffering. When they are dead, return back to where we exited the tunnel & look up at the building to its right to find a Mystic Stonebite on the wall of the second floor.

Relic of Renagoth #8: Do not head down the stairs leading down to Floor B1 & instead continue on along Floor 1 to a dead end in the Northwest corner of the area. Ignore the doorway leading onwards & continue to that dead end where we can find this Relic at the end of a bridge.

Trapped Hellguard #4: Turn around from where we collected the Relic, & we can see a Trapped Hellguard up on the building wall to our right next to a “Junk” sign.

Book of the Dead Page #31: Continue in through the building now & exit out the other side back into the city. Head directly across the street from where we exited the building & we can enter inside a different one to find this Book of the Dead Page.

Trapped Hellguard #5: In this same outer area, look way up to the top of the building to the Southeast & we can find a Trapped Hellguard pinned to the wall close to a Gunfire Studios sign.

Stone of Resistance #6: When we are done in this section, continue Westward & we will see a drop down into a large circular area. Before we do so, look to your right & we can spot this Resistance Stonebite stuck to the side of a building.

Boss – The Noss: Drop down into that circular area & be ready for a fight. It’s not just a boss. It’s a Noss. This Noss is quite easily defeated if you grab the Redemption Cannon in its Noss room to kill it; be mindful of its Stingers.

Stone of Power #16: When the Noss is no longer a boss, enter into the large tunnel system & follow it along into a chamber full of red spines. Turn around towards a Chest in this room at a dead end, & we can see this Power Stonebite stuck to the ceiling above it.

Trapped Hellguard #6: To progress, we need to get around the red spines blocking the tunnel. Head up a small walkway & we can see a Redemption Cannon at the end of it – the path splits down the other side of the red spines. Head over to the Redemption Cannon & look to your right to see a Trapped Hellguard.

Trapped Hellguard #7: Carry on through a side passage, & we will exit back out further down into the tunnel to the East. Enter into another short little side passage to the Southeast of the tunnel & we can find a Trapped Hellguard.

The Eye of Arafel: Progress further through the tunnel system down into Floor B1. Navigate through the tunnel & back up to Floor 1 where we will need to kill another Suffering Demon. To progress, we will need to destroy another Arafel Growth & will receive this next piece to the Rod.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #9 – Level 10 N, S, E, W: Before we continue onwards beyond where the Arfael Growth was, turn around & look back the way we came. Along the Southwest wall, close to the tunnel entrance to B1, we can see an open doorway. Enter inside & we can spot some painted red coordinates on the wall by the doorway; it will not register if you have a Redemption Cannon equipped.

Primary Quest – The Rod of Arafel: Exit out of the tunnel now & drop down back into the city on Floor B1. Head down the road & we will reunite with the Hellguard captain; she will unlock the way forward for us to find the final piece of the Rod.

Once again, there is a chance that the way forward might be bugged & blocked to us. If this happens to you, immediately quit the game, & try again.

Book of the Dead Page #32: With the way open to us, do not enter through the passage just yet. Before we do, look along the wall to our left close to the underside of the bridge above us to find a Book of the Dead Page near a wrecked vehicle.

Boss – The Noss: Enter into the passage the Hellguard captain opened for us & we will exit back outside in the city to be attacked by another Noss boss. Like before, there will be a Redemption Cannon nearby for us to use against it. Do so.

Earth:

Trapped Hellguard #8: With the Noss dead, carry on down the end of the road, & continue straight ahead ignoring the bridge underside to our right. At the end of the road, it will give way & we can spot a Trapped Hellguard in the rubble above the water below us.

Stone of Mystics #31: Now begin making your way underneath the bridge & we will need to kill a Suffering Demon. The bridge underside will have four large holes in it: one on the left side, two on the right side, with another hole at the far end on the left side. Approach the North side of the very first hole on the left & turn around to face back the way we came. Look down into the hole & we can see this Mystic Stonebite stuck on the side of one of the bridge columns facing us.

Boss – The Noss: Kill a second Suffering Demon & get up to the bridge above us on Floor 2… where there will be yet another Noss boss we need to floss. You will definitely want to use a Redemption Cannon for this one.

Achievement #24 – Diamond Geezertron: Unlock the final Skill in either Skill Tree.
When we reach Level 20, we will be able to purchase the final Skill in the Harbinger & Necromancer Skill Trees; there are no other prerequisites for them other than being Level 20.

Purchase the Reaper Storm or Frenzy Skill to unlock the Achievement.

Trapped Hellguard #9: When the Noss is dead, walk a little ways halfway down the bridge underneath a large support archway. Once you are past it, turn around & look at the backside of the support archway to see a Trapped Hellguard pinned to the upper right side of it.

The Rod of Arafel: Destroy the final Arafel Growth & whatever the final piece we needed was called, we will never know as it will combine with our other two pieces to complete the full Rod of Arafel.

Relic of Etu-Goth #12: Beyond the Arafel Growth, we will enter a ruined hotel. Enter down a few hallways & we will enter a room with a Chest in it; search this room & we can find this Relic in the Northwest corner up inside a wrecked portion of the wall.

Stone of Power #17: Exit the room we were just in & we will enter another that will take us down to Floor 2. Before we do so, look directly across from where we exited the hall to find a Power Stonebite on the wall across from us to the left.

Trapped Hellguard #10: Get through to the last hallway of the hotel & we can find the final Trapped Hellguard in the Northern corner of it.

Primary Quest – The Rod of Arafel: Drop out of the hotel, & tell the Hellguard captain that we have successfully rebuilt the Rod of Arafel.

Secondary Quest #19 – Light of the Fallen: With all 10 Trapped Hellguard Angels freed, be sure to tell their captain, & complete this Secondary Quest. If you are missing any, now is the time to backtrack & find them…

Lostlight – The Crystal Spire:

Achievement #25 – The Rod of Arafel: Complete The Rod of Arafel.
Story Related. With the Rod of Arafel complete, leave Earth back through the Portal & return back to the Crystal Spire to complete the Quest & unlock this Achievement.

Primary Quest – Stains of Heresy: Now we need to reach the Ivory Citadel. The Archon will clear the way of Corruption, but we must get there ourselves as well. At least, we will be given an Angelic Beast…

Unlike our first time flying one of these creatures, this journey will be pleasant & we will just be along for the ride…

Lostlight – The Ivory Citadel:

Stone of Mystics #32: Begin navigating through the Ivory Citadel until you reach the main chamber across the broken bridge. From here, we have to head to the Eastern wing & we will exit outside. To progress, we will have to scale up to Floor 2; when we do, turn around & leap across a gap behind us where a Chest. Search the windows near the Chest to find a Mystic Stonebite attached to one.

Achievement #26 – I Can Has Cake?: Collect the Voidwalker.
Story Related. Navigate to the Southern tower & enter inside where we can claim the Voidwalker.

Stone of Mystics #33: With the Voidwalker, we can now begin making our way over to the East tower. Destroy the Corruption blocking our way by using the Orbs of Light, & we can reach the tower on Floor 1. Make your way around the outside of the tower towards a set of stairs leading up to Floor 2. Before you take them, look up on the arch at the bottom of the stairs to see another Mystic Stonebite.

Relic of Renagoth #9: Get to the top of the Eastern tower & use the Voidwalker/Orbs of Light to clear out the Corruption from the aqueduct. Follow the water down through the aqueduct & drop down two levels on it; look behind you after the second drop to find a Relic.

Book of the Dead Page #33: With the aqueduct up & running it will be time for us to leave the Eastern wing. Travel to the bottom of the aqueduct & climb up some vines to get to Floor 2 of the central chamber where we can pass over to the Western wing. Fight off an Angelic Champion mini-boss fight, & enter into the Western tower on Floor 2. Before we press on, exit outside the tower to the South & we can find this Book of the Dead Page around the corner to the left behind some Corruption.

Relic of Renagoth #10: Drop down to Floor 1 in the Western tower & make your way along the outer wall & get back up to Floor 2 where there will be a series of Levers & Rotating Levers. Walk all the way around the corner towards some decaying trees & we can find this Relic.

This is the final Relic of Renagoth!

Skeleton Key: Complete the semi-challenging Void Walker puzzle, & get across to the opposite side; to progress we will have to wall run over to where the Skeleton Key will be waiting for us.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lostlight – The Ivory Citadel:

Stone of Resistance #7: Collect the Skeleton Key, & use it on the Western tower to proceed. As soon as we pass through the doorway we unlocked, look up to your right to see this Resistance Stonebite stuck to the top of an archway.

Relic of Etu-Goth #13: Cleanse the Western wing aqueduct, & begin following it along to the North. Drop down the first level, & look behind you, to see another Relic.

GnoMAD's Gnome #2: Before we progress onwards along the aqueduct, leap off it back down to Floor 2 where we were to wall run over to the Skeleton Key. Close to the wall we ran across, will be a new purified water pool. Jump in the pool & pass under the waterfall to enter a secret tunnel where we can find our next GnoMAD Gnome.

Stone of Power #18: Return back to the top of the flowing aqueduct & this time follow it to the end, where we will be able to get up to Floor 3. Get back to the central room & we will have to fight off a few Corrupted Angels. Once they are defeated, look up at the statue in the center of the room & we can spot this Power Stonebite attached to its chest.

Book of the Dead Page #34: Now carry on to the final area, the Northern wing. Complete the free-running stretch, then defeat the Sycophant mini-boss fight. Exit the chamber we fought them in, & walk down to an outer circular courtyard with a Light Orb in it. Before we progress on, walk out to the dead end to the Northwest, & we can find a Book of the Dead Page around the corner.

Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll #10 – Level 9 S, W, E, E, N: Carry on, & use a Rotating Lever & a Moveable Crate to get past our next obstacle; use Soul Splitter & push our real body past the revolving wall. Approach the next Rotating Lever but do not use it yet. Instead, drop down off the ledge in front of it where a Void Panel is, & we can spot our final Soul Arbiter Sacred Scroll down here.

Stone of Power #19: Now use the Rotating Lever & the Void Panels to get one of our split Souls in behind the next revolving wall. Once we are boosted through the gap by a Charged Portal, turn around to look above the Portal we came out of to see a Power Stonebite above it on an arch.

Relic of Khagoth #3: Now that the Stone of Power is collected, backtrack to where the actual powered Light Orb is, & guide the light through the other two Light Orbs to burn away the Corruption blocking our path. Enter the next courtyard with a Light Orb, & search the edges of the area to find a Relic hidden behind some black strands of Corruption.

Relic of Etu-Goth #14: Purify the final aqueduct, & return back to the central chamber. With all the water fully purified, we can continue on to where the Scribe can be found. In the following room to the North from the central chamber, look in behind one of the angel statues off our left to find a Relic beside it.

Stone of Resistance #8: Use the Void Panels now to navigate up to Floor 3 & before we pass through the door to carry on, look to the West to see a hole in the wall with a Void Panel on the ceiling. Get over to it, & there will be a Chest here; turn around to look above the hole in the wall from this side to see a Resistance Stonebite stuck to it.

Boss – Jamaerah the Scribe: When we find the Scribe… it turns out, he isn’t glad to see us at all. This is a bit of a chaotic boss fight; he does not have a lot of health, but he can do quite a bit of damage with his stomach tentacle if it hits us. Stay behind him & let your Ghouls distract him.

At half health, he will gain an invulnerability shield & begin charging a slam-down attack. To evade this, use the Void Panels on the wall & time stepping through one as he is about to hit the ground. He will then summon a few Corrupted Angels to tie us up; just stay behind him with your Ghouls & defeat him!

For his final stage, he will permanently apply his invulnerability shield. Place a Portal on the Void Panel on the floor in the center & place another on a Void Panel higher up. Wait for the Scribe to use his beam attack & stand on the opposite side of the floor Void Panel as it; when the beam comes at us, it will pass through the Void Panel & he will strike himself.

Lostlight – The Crystal Spire:

Boss – The Archon: Return back to the Crystal Spire & confront the Archon. Unfortunately, as the Scribe said – he too has become Corrupted. The Archon has devastating attacks & lots of long range/AoE spells. Do not get greedy with your attacks & be very focused on staying behind him. If you are facing his front, be focused on evading his attacks. When the Archon flies into the air to bombard us, have Deathgrip ready to latch onto him.

Achievement #27 – Clipped Wings: Defeat Archon.
Story Related. Batter down the Archon, cut off his wings, & impale him on our scythe. Killing the Archon will grant us the Angel Key – the first key to the Well of Souls.

Additional Campaign – Argul’s Tomb: After defeating the Archon, we will receive a notification for the Argul’s Tomb expansion. There are no Achievements associated with it, but we can collect new loot, Xp, & a free Skill Point during it.

Lostlight:

Death Tomb #3: Before we leave Lostlight, you can return back to see Vulgrim & sell him the Book of the Dead Chapter #3 to receive the Bone Key to unlock Death Tomb #3. If you remember, we can find Death Tomb #3 in between where Vulgrim is & the Crystal Spire.

There are no Collectibles here, but some good loot & a free Skill Point.

The Forge Lands – Tree of Life:

Primary Quest – Stains of Heresy: Return back to the Tree of Life, & speak with the Crowfather about what to do next. Next… will be passing into Hell to collect the Demon Key to the Well of Souls.

The Forge Lands – The Weeping Crag:

GnoMAD's Gnome #3: Before we go to Hell, we can mop up some new errands now that we have the Void Walker. Return to the Forge Lands, & head to the Weeping Crag. Enter into the ruins here & get up to Floor 3, where we can head over to the Northmost room & use the Void Walker to continue further onwards North.

Pass into the next room, & we can collect a free Skill Point from the rare loot Chest in here. For what we actually care about though, drop down into the water below at the North end of the room, & swim underneath the dais where that rare loot Chest was to find one of GnoMAD’s Gnomes.

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Stone of Resistance #9: From where we can find Vulgrim across the Southern bay in the Fjord, continue on past him in the ruins, & we can find two Void Panels. Pass through the Void Panel, & we can get up to Floor 2 where we can find a Shadow Bomb. Before we use it, look up above the hole in the wall we shot our Portal through to find a Resistance Stonebite.

Book of the Dead Page #35: Not 100% sure how to do this legitimately, but first use a Bomb to destroy the Corruption on Floor 1 & we can get at a rare loot Chest. Grab a second Bomb, then walk back to the Chest. Turn around from the Chest, & look up to the upper left wall while aiming the Bomb to be notified that there is a target there. Throw the Bomb, & it will destroy the Corruption on the other side of it. Get back up to Floor 2 & we can find a Book of the Dead Page where the Corruption used to be.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Eternal Throne:

Secondary Quest #18 – The Lost Soul: Return back to the Tree of Life, & travel through to the Kingdom of the Dead. With Nathaniel’s Scroll, head to the Eternal Throne & give it to the Chancellor.

Secondary Quest #20 – The Chancellor’s Quarry: Of course, we can’t ask the Chancellor for help without having to help him first. Our previous Secondary Quest will be tied to this new one, however we should not pursue the Arbiter’s Maze just yet.

To get the most out of the Soul Arbiter’s Maze, & unlock an Achievement, we need to first make sure we have all 10 of the Soul Arbiter’s Scrolls; we are still missing three more…

The Kingdom of the Dead – Lair of the Deposed King:

Boss – The Deposed King: If you have not already done so, it is also time we should probably deal with the Deposed King. Travel down to Floor B3 of the Lair of the Deposed King & face him. Much like the Archon, do not get greedy with your attacks as receiving them from the King is devastating. Take it slow & stay behind him.

Getting struck by the King’s heavy slam is almost an instant kill as it will take out close to half our health bar & also freeze us. This same attack however is how we will be doing the most damage to him, as if it is evaded, he will have his hammer stuck in the ground for a few seconds. The King also ripostes whenever you attack his shield; this can be evaded if you spam dodge as soon as you touch his shield! He also has a whirlwind attack which is extremely difficult to evade & will basically one-shot us; when you see him do this, summon your Ghouls to bait his attack into them instead.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #21 – Find & Kill the Deposed King: Return to Thane when you slay the Deposed King, & turn in this Secondary Quest to him. As you may have gleaned, the Deposed King was in fact Argul, the one whose tomb we recently unlocked as an Additional Campaign…

Achievement #28 – Like A Noss: Defeat the four creatures named by Thane.
After we complete all four “Find & Kill” Secondary Quests from Thane, we will unlock this Achievement. We will need to defeat: Gorewood, Bheithir, Achidna, & the Deposed King.

Lostlight – The Crystal Spire:

Secondary Quest #18 – The Lost Soul: Return back to Nathaniel to tell him what we learned from the Chancellor. Instead of waiting until the end of the game & completing the Soul Arbiter Maze, we can get a new lead by speaking to the Shaman in Tri-Stone.

The Forge Lands – Tri-Stone:

Secondary Quest #18 – The Lost Soul: Back in Tri-Stone, speak to Muria about Nathaniel’s Scroll… & we will get premonitions of… the Destroyer?

Lostlight – The Crystal Spire:

Secondary Quest #18 – The Lost Soul: With this newfound information, return back to Nathaniel again again, & if you played Darksiders 1 then… “called it”.

Telling Nathaniel this grave news will complete the Secondary Quest…
Sequence 21: Courting the Devil
1. Shadow’s Edge: Shadow’s Edge, The Black Stone
2. Primary Quests: Stains of Heresy, The Mad Queen, The Lord of the Black Stone
3. Secondary Quests: N/A
4. GnoMAD’s Gnomes: 3/4
5. Stone of Resistance: 10/10
6. Stone of Power: 22/25
7. Stone of Mystics: 33/34
8. Relic of Khagoth: 4/5
9. Relic of Etu-Goth: 15/15
10. Soul Arbiter Scrolls: 8/10
11. Book of the Dead Pages: 38/40
12. Approximate Level: 20/30
13. Achievements: 31/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shadow’s Edge:

Primary Quest – Stains of Heresy: When all of your side business has been completed, it is time to enter into the final chapter of the game (we have Post Game so don’t worry!). Pass through the Portal of one of the Trees & enter into Shadow’s Edge…

Achievement #29 – Stains of Heresy: Complete Stains of Heresy.
Story Related. We will complete this Primary Quest & unlock this Achievement the moment we Portal into Shadow’s Edge.

Book of the Dead Page #36: Ride out from the Tree of Death, & we will enter inside a small dungeon. From where the Serpent Tome is, follow the path down to the left but before we exit the dungeon, climb up some handholds off your right. Up here we can find a Pressure Plate, & a Book of the Dead Page right beside it.

Relic of Khagoth #4: Use Soul Splitter now on the Pressure Plate, & navigate back around to the opposite side of the Serpent Tome with one of your Souls to find a Relic & a rare loot Chest.

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Present):

Primary Quest – The Mad Queen: Now we need to track down the Demon Key which we hope to find in the Black Stone fortress; this is our final major dungeon! Apart from a few random odds & sods, we will be obtaining the last few dregs of our remaining Collectibles.

Take the spiral staircase up to Floor 2, & we will meet the Mad Queen herself, Lilith.

Achievement #30 – Tearing Time A New One: Collect the Phasewalker.
Story Related. Speak with Lilith, & she will bestow the time travelling piece of gear, the Phasewalker, to us; this Upgrades the Voidwalker.

Achievement #31 – The Mad Queen: Complete The Mad Queen.
Story Related. We will also unlock this Achievement when we complete Primary Quest – The Mad Queen which will finish immediately after unlocking the Phasewalker… the Darksiders Achievements always weird me out when they double stack them like this…

Book of the Dead Page #37: After we finish speaking with Lilith, explore her outer balcony… of the fortress obviously, & head up a small set of stairs East of where she is to find a Book of the Dead Page.

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Past):

Stone of Power #20: Get to the room to the North on Floor 1, & we can test out the Phasewalker to travel back in time. Walk over to the center circular platform & defeat the Legion Champion mini-boss. Once they are all slain, look up at the large statue of Lilith to the North of us, & we can find a Power Stonebite attached to her stomach.

Stone of Resistance #10: Head over to the Eastern wing of the fortress now & free-run through a long high ceilinged corridor. Continue past it until you reach a vertical tube with a Deathgrip Anchor across from us. Use Deathgrip to get across/up to a handhold, but let go of this handhold to drop down & grab a different one lower down just above the lava in the tube. Sidle along the handhold & climb onto a lower down passage.

At the far end of the passage, will be another Deathgrip Anchor on the wall above some lava; do not use this one (though it will take you up to the Dungeon Map). Instead, look up at the ceiling inside this passage & we can find a different Deathgrip Anchor a little ways up the wall. Use this one, & it will take us up to Floor 3. Step out onto a walkway & look up to the glass ceiling to the South of us to see a Resistance Stonebite stuck to it.

This was our final Stone of Resistance to collect!

Book of the Dead Page #38: Climb up that vertical tube now, & we can find this Book of the Dead Page right at the top of it.

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Present):

Soul Arbiter Scroll #8 – Level 9 E, N, E, N, S: Exit out of the Eastern wing, & we can pull a Lever to open a shortcut up. Before we press on, use the Phase Panel beside us here to return back to the Present where we can find this Soul Arbiter Scroll to the right of where we exit the Portal.

Stone of Power #21: Cross over to the Western wing now & enter through the first door to the large open area. Look off our right to the North & we can see a locked door. Look further along the wall to the left of it to spot a Power Stonebite stuck to the wall above some iron bars.

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Past):

Stone of Power #22: To continue, we will need to head back into the Past once again; use the first Phase Panel we encounter near the ruined bridgeway. In the Past, backtrack up to where that locked door is. From here, stand near the balcony & look off to the far Southeast wall where we can spot another Power Stonebite above one of those sets of iron bars along the wall.

Relic of Etu-Goth #15: Return back to the Present, head down some stairs, & use a different Phase Panel to return to the Past again. Up some stairs in the center of the area, we can find a Pressure Plate off our left that will open up some iron bars lower down. Use Soul Splitter, & send one of our Souls through to the other side where we can find a Void Panel & a Shadow Bomb. In this same room, head over to the iron bar windows & we can find this Relic hidden behind a statue.

This is our final Relic of Etu-Goth!

Before we do anything else, grab the Shadow Bomb & be sure to destroy the Corruption around it; it will reveal a Collectible in the Present for us where the Bomb would used to be!
Sequence 22: The King of All Demons
1. Shadow’s Edge: The Black Stone, The Tree of the Dead
2. Primary Quests: The Mad Queen, The Lord of the Black Stone
3. Secondary Quests: GnoMAD’s Gnomes
4. GnoMAD’s Gnomes: 4/4
5. Stone of Power: 22/25
6. Stone of Mystics: 33/34
7. Relic of Khagoth: 4/5
8. Soul Arbiter Scrolls: 9/10
9. Book of the Dead Pages: 40/40
10. Approximate Level: 21/30
11. Achievements: 33/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Present):

Skeleton Key: Using the Void Panels & Shadow Bomb, destroy the Corruption in the center of the room & return to the Present; now we can loot the Skeleton Key that was blocked to us.

Book of the Dead Page #39: Now we want to get up to that room where the Bomb & Void Panel were in the Past. The Void Panel is still there, & we can use a Deathgrip Anchor lower down above the lava to launch through to the second Void Panel. We can find this Book of the Dead Page in the exact same spot the Relic was, in behind the statue near the iron bar windows.

Soul Arbiter Scroll #9 – Level 10 W, E, N, S, W: If you destroyed the Corruption surrounding the Shadow Bomb in the Past, we can now find W, E, N, S, W painted in red where the Bomb used to be; we can only collect the Soul Arbiter Scroll coordinates if the Corruption was destroyed…

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Past):

Primary Quest – The Lord of the Black Stone: Return back to where the locked door is in the Past, & use the Skeleton Key to continue. Exit the Western wing, & pull the Lever to open up the shortcut. Now we can drop down to Floor B1 to continue.

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Present):

Book of the Dead Page #40: Use the Phase Panel on Floor B1 to return to the Present, & we can see a Book of the Dead Page off our right across a broken way to the East. Carefully look along the wall near the Page to see a Void Panel; place a Portal on it. Now head down the hall to the West to see another Void Panel we can access; jump through the Portal to collect the final Book of the Dead Page!

Book of the Dead Chapter #4: At long last, we now have collected the final Chapter of the Book of the Dead!

GnoMAD's Gnome #4: Return back through the Portal, & we can find some wooden handholds we can free-run up the wall nearby to get us back up to Floor 1 of the Western wing in the central room. Pass through the first door on our right that will lead us back to the opposite side of where the locked door was, & we can find our final GnoMAD’s Gnone here at a dead end.

Secondary Quest #14 – GnoMAD’s Gnomes: With all four of GnoMAD’s Gnomes collected, we will progress the Quest to going to visit any Serpent Tome…

Primary Quest – The Lord of the Black Stone: With all Collectibles found in Black Stone, we can now push on to the task’s end. Drop back down to Floor B1 & use some different handholds to free-run up to the North end of Floor 1 in the central room.

Shadow’s Edge – The Black Stone (Past):

Boss – Samael: Return to the Past in the Northern boss room, & we will encounter the archangel Michael’s archnemesis, Samael, whom we released from prison in Darksiders 1. Unlike War however, we will be his match… barely.

For the most part, Samael is not all that difficult & has a lot of fairly easy to evade spells. It is when he reaches below half health & he is in his second phase that things get extremely more high stakes as he will coat himself in a permanent electricity aura. What’s worse is his spells are far more devastating & will take almost perfect timing to dodge. Time your dodges for the moment the exploding glyphs are going to go off; if you just spam evade you will typically be caught mid leap in an explosion which will still hurt you.

Fight him like the Archon, & do not spam your attacks or evades. Pay attention to where he is & always stay behind him; do not let your Ghouls distracting him put you in a false sense of security either!

Achievement #32 – It’s Not Over: Defeat Samael.
Story Related. Persevere & defeat Samael to unlock the Achievement. He of course is only defeated; it will take more than just a Nephilim to kill Samael…

I found Samael to be the hardest Boss in the game, & he took me the most tries to defeat out of any other.

Demon Key: We will receive the Demon Key for defeating Samael as well!

Additional Campaign – The Demon Lord Belial: We will also unlock the final Additional Campaign to complete; there are no Achievements associated with it…

Shadow’s Edge – Tree of Death:

Primary Quest – The Lord of the Black Stone: Fast Travel back to the Tree of Death now & tell the Crowfather we now have the Demon Key.

Achievement #33 – Lord of the Black Stone: Complete Lord of the Black Stone.
Story Related. Speak with the Crowfather about what to do next, & we will complete this Primary Quest/unlock the Achievement when we question him about the test that lies ahead.

Point of No Return!: When we open up the doors to the Well of Souls, we will reach a Point of No Return. Crossing through the doors will lock us into the final moments of the game; it is important to note however, that there is Post Game after we complete the Well of Souls.
Sequence 23: Special Delivery
1. Shadow’s Edge: Shadow’s Edge
2. The Kingdom of the Dead: The Soul Arbiter’s Maze
3. Primary Quests: N/A
4. Secondary Quests: The Book of the Dead, GnoMAD’s Gnomes, Lost Relics, The Chancellor’s Quarry
5. GnoMAD’s Gnomes: 4/4
6. Stone of Power: 25/25
7. Stone of Mystics: 33/34
8. Relic of Khagoth: 5/5
9. Soul Arbiter Scrolls: 10/10
10. Book of the Dead Pages: 40/40
11. Approximate Level: 22/30
12. Achievements: 37/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any Location With Vulgrim:

Vulgrim: As one of our errands, we need to sell off our final Book of the Dead Chapter. Go to any location with Vulgrim such as the Weeping Crags, Lostlight, etc. & sell off the Chapter to him to receive the final Bone Key.

Achievement #34 – The Book of the Dead: Complete The Book of the Dead.
Tell Vulgrim you have completed the Book of the Dead & we will complete the Secondary Quest as well as unlock this Achievement.

Any Location With A Serpent Tome:

Achievement #35 – Gnomad: Complete GnoMAD.
Now that we have all 4 of GnoMAD’s Gnomes, travel to any location that has a Serpent Tome such as Tri-Stone, Eternal Throne, or the Crystal Spire, & access the Serpent Tome.

In our inbox, we should find a Gift from GnoMAD message; select the reward to complete the Secondary Quest & unlock this Achievement.

Shadow’s Edge:

Achievement #36 – Abracadabra: Open all 4 Death Tombs.
With the final Bone Key, return back to the Tree of Death in Shadow’s Edge & ride out to Death Tomb #4 which we can find on the way to the Black Stone. Unlock the final Death Tomb, & we will unlock this Achievement as soon as we do…

Relic of Khagoth #5: Enter inside the Death Tomb, & we can find this Relic right in our way.

Stone of Power #23: Turn around from where we collected the Relic to look back at the tomb door we passed through to see a Power Stonebite above the entrance.

Stone of Power #24: Pivot again & look directly above where we are standing to see yet another Power Stonebite on a large spine dangling on the ceiling; you may have to move to shoot it.

Achievement #37 – Antiquing: Complete Lost Relics.
With all Relics located, bring whatever ones you still have in your Inventory & sell them to Ostegoth. Tell the Merchant that we have found all of his Relics, & we will complete the Secondary Quest & unlock the Achievement.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Soul Arbiter’s Maze (Entrance):

Stone of Power #25: Now, it will be time to enter into the Soul Arbiter’s Maze. As soon as we enter inside, you will need to look way up on the wall to your left close to the ceiling, & you can spot our final Power Stonebite on the wall. You may need to walk a ways away from it to shoot it down…

Soul Arbiter Scroll #10 – Level 1 N, W: Navigate up to Floor 2 of the maze entrance, & push in the Lever to reveal wall handholds to allow us to get over to the Eastern side of Floor 2. Get over to that side, & we can make our way over to the actual entrance to the Soul Arbiter’s Maze which is a Mysterious Book.

Before we read the Mysterious Book in front of us head over to the far end of the room & we can pick up the final Soul Arbiter Scroll.

Secondary Quest #20 – The Chancellor’s Quarry: It is now time to read the Mysterious Book, & we will enter into the Soul Arbiter’s Maze. The maze will have 10 Levels to it & each level will require coordinates from a Soul Arbter Scroll to get through; each Level will also have coordinates from a Sacred Scroll that will take us to a secret loot room…

NG Level Cap!: By this point, you may have hit Level 22; this is the Level cap for our first playthrough; once you reach it, you will no longer be able to obtain any more Xp. This is not only really annoying, but it is also a problem since we need to reach Level 30 for the Epic! Achievement.

We can unfortunately only reach Level 30 on NG+. Another stroke of misfortune is that Collectibles do not carry over to subsequent playthroughs. All that we have left is to complete the Soul Arbiter’s Maze, finish our last few Secondary Quests, & we will be proceeding to beat this first playthrough…
Sequence 24: The Soul Arbiter's Maze
1. The Kingdom of the Dead: The Soul Arbiter’s Maze, Eternal Throne
2. The Forge Lands: The Fjord
3. Primary Quests: N/A
4. Secondary Quests: Chancellor’s Quarry, Sticks & Stones
5. Stone of Mystics: 34/34
6. Approximate Level: 22/30
7. Achievements: 40/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kingdom of the Dead – Soul Arbiter’s Maze:
After we complete a Level in the Soul Arbiter’s Maze, we will enter a limbo stairway to access the next Level. There is nothing going on in these except in the limbo stairway from Level #7 to Level #8; we can find our final Stonebite there!

Level #1 – Declination: Select Level 1 using the Mysterious Book, & approach up where we collected the last Soul Arbiter Scroll & a Portal in the floor will now be active; step inside to enter the maze… Each room of Level 1 will have a horde of Level 16 Skeletons in it.

The correct path through Level 1 is North, West. For the Secret, head: South, East.

Though they are optional to completing the Level, I recommend going after the Secret before taking the correct path out of the maze; it can be done all in the same run! That is until you get tired of grinding… As of Level #3… I stopped caring about going after the Secrets… it just takes way too long to clear rooms later on & we are getting 0 Xp & loot from killing the enemies. The loot is also all random & will be capped at Level 22; we will instantly be finding better Gear when we enter NG+.

Our Sacred Scrolls will not carry over to NG+ however, so this is the only time you can make use of them if that matters to you…

Level #2 – Apprehension: The correct path for Level 2 is East, South, North. The Secret path is North, North. We will be fighting Level 16 Skeleton Warriors & Skeleton Archers.

Level #3 – Opposition: The correct path for Level 3 is West, East, North, North. The Secret path is North, South, East. We will be fighting Level 17 Skeleton Champions, Skeleton Archers, & Lichs.

Level #4 – Separation: The correct path for Level 4 is East, West, North, South. The Secret path is West, East, North. We will be fighting Level 17 Skeleton Champions, Scarabs, & Scarab Hulks.

Level #5 – Deception: The correct path for Level 5 is West, West, North, East. The Secret path is West, North, South. We will be fighting Level 18 Skeleton Archers, Lichs, & Undead Generals.

Level #6 – Isolation: The correct path for Level 6 is South, East, East, North, North. The Secret path is East, East, East, South. We will be fighting Level 18 Lichs, Wraiths, & Abominations.

Level #7 – Revulsion: The correct path for Level 7 is South, West, East, East, East. The Secret path is South, South, West, North, North. We will be fighting Level 19 Undead Prowlers, Undead Stalkers, & Bone Giants.

Stone of Mystics #34: Complete Level #7, & we will enter the limbo stairway that leads down to the Level #8 Portal. Walk down the stairs & enter the room with the Level #8 Portal & we can see the final Mystic Stonebite attached to the wall across from where we entered the room.

As of now, you should have collected all Stonebites.

Level #8 – Inversion: The correct path for Level 8 is North, West, North, West, East. The Secret path is North, South, South, East, North. We will be fighting Level 19 Skeleton Warriors, Wraiths, & Tormentors.

Level #9 – Benediction: The correct path for Level 9 is East, North, East, North, South. The Secret path is South, West, East, East, North. We will be fighting Level 20 Undead Scarabs, Undead Prowlers, Undead Scarab Hulks, & Undead Stalkers.

Level #10 – Ascension: The correct path for Level 10 is West, East, North, South, West. The Secret path is North, South, East, West. We will be fighting Level 20 Abominations, Undead Generals, Tormentors, & Bone Giants.

Boss – The Soul Arbiter: After we complete Level #10, we will pass through a final limbo stairway, & the next Portal we pass through will take us to the Soul Arbiter himself. The Soul Arbiter has some devastating melee attacks if you get hit by them; throughout the fight, the Soul Arbiter will put on an invulnerability shield & we will need to defeat some easy Skeleton mobs.

The hardest part is at the end when the final mob he will summon will be an Undead General. What’s worse, is the Soul Arbiter will also continue to fight us with his shield on until that Undead General is defeated…

Achievement #38 – I’ve Brought You A Gift: Defeat the Soul Arbiter.
Kill the Soul Arbiter & we will unlock this Achievement; we will also collect the Crown of the Dead.

The Kingdom of the Dead – Eternal Throne:

Secondary Quest #20 – Chancellor’s Quarry: With the Soul Arbiter defeated, return back to see the Chancellor & refuse to give him what he asked us to retrieve to complete the Quest on our own terms. You can do that?!

The Forge Lands – The Fjord:

Secondary Quest #6 – Sticks & Stones: Now return to see Blackroot, & hand him over the last few Stonebites to complete our longest running Secondary Quest. Finally. If you want to maximize the Stones, refer back to the table in Sequence 15 for the different combinations.

Technically, you do not even have to feed him the Stones for them to count, & we will complete the Quest just by speaking with him.

Achievement #39 – All You Can Eat Buffet: Complete Sticks & Stones.
Find & collect all Stones of Mystics, Power, & Resistance & bring them all to Blackroot to unlock this Achievement. This is probably the most tedious out of all Secondary Quests to complete if you accidentally miss a Stone…

Achievement #40 – The Secondary Adventure: Complete all 21 Secondary Quests.
There are 21 Secondary Quests in the game, & fortunately they are not missable. None of our quest givers die, & all the Collectibles can be found at any point in the game so long as you do not progress on to NG+.

Complete your final Secondary Quest, & this Achievement will unlock.
Sequence 25: Life From Death
1. The Well of Souls
2. Primary Quests: The Well of Souls
3. Approximate Level: 22/30
4. Achievements: 46/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is very important to note that Secondary Quest progress completely resets between playthroughs & will not carry over to NG+. This includes all Collectibles (not counting Boatman Coins). Before we continue on, I very strongly recommend that all previously mentioned progress in this guide is fully completed before we beat the game. That way, we can blitz through only what we need to in NG+ without needing to basically re-beat the game.

If you do not unlock The Secondary Adventure Achievement now, you will be forced to re-locate every single Collectible in the game & re-beat all 21 Secondary Quests over again in NG+!

The Well of Souls:

Primary Quest – The Well of Souls: When you are ready to finish our first playthrough, travel to any Tree, & pass through its open gates in the center.

Achievement #41 – The Root of Corruption: Open the Well of Souls.
Story Related. Pass through the center gates of one of the Trees, & we will enter into the Well of Souls.

Boss – Avatar of Chaos: Now it is time to finish the fight & defeat the Avatar of Chaos; the champion of Corruption. There isn’t really anything special to note about the Avatar & compared to Samael, he is not too difficult to defeat.

Achievement #42 – The Big Boss: Defeat Absalom.
Story Related. Defeat the Avatar of Chaos, Absalom, & we will unlock this Achievement.

Achievement #43 – A Stroll In the Demonic Park: Complete the game on any Difficulty setting.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after we defeat Absalom; we have officially beat the game!

Achievement #44 – Four My Brother: Complete the game on Normal.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement if we beat the game on Normal Difficulty or higher.

Achievement #45 – A True Horseman: Complete the game on Apocalyptic.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement if we beat the game on Apocalyptic Difficulty or higher.

Achievement #46 – It’s Definitive: Complete the game on Deathinitive.
Story Related. If you have been playing on Deathinitive Difficulty since the beginning of the game, we will unlock this Achievement after receiving the other Difficulty related Achievements.

92% Complete
Sequence 26: NG+
1. The Forge, The Kingdom of the Dead, Additional Campaigns
2. Primary Quests: Find A Way to Save War to ~ The City of the Dead
3. Approximate Level: 30/30
4. Achievements: 47/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well done! After we beat the game for the first time, we will unlock NG+ & Nightmare Mode. NG+ is very important, but Nightmare Mode is not; there are no Achievements associated with it. If you have completed all of your Secondary Quests, & all that is left for you to do is reach Level 30 & beat the Crucible, you are free to begin NG+. If not, make sure you backtrack & complete anything you are missing or your NG+ playthrough will take you much longer to do!

In NG+, we will restart the entire game from the beginning but have all our Weapons, Armor, Talismans, & Skills. We will also have all our Gilt & Boatman Coins as well. What will not carry over is any Collectible or Items related to Primary or Secondary Quests.

Lastly, because we beat the game on Deathinitive Difficulty, we can reduce the Difficulty to speed this playthrough along. Difficulty does not alter Xp earned, but it can affect the rarity of dropped loot; on lower Difficulties, your equipment matters much less. But if you want to stay true, playing on Apocalyptic Difficulty can be a nice medium ground.

The Forge Lands:

The Crucible unfortunately will not give us Xp. Farming enemies is not really a great way to earn Xp either, though I don’t recommend skipping fights as it does still help. The best way to get Xp is going to be by completing Primary Quests & Secondary Quests. Don’t get bogged down by the heavy Collectible based Secondary Quests, but Quests like Shaman’s Craft, The Maker Warrior, Lost & Found (1-3), The Hammer’s Forge, The Maker’s Chronicle, & even Wandering Stones are good ones to complete. If you wanted to, you could go back to Sequence 1 & re-follow the guide (skipping what you want) until you reach Level 30…

Deathgrip: Acquiring Deathgrip is mandatory for the Crucible as we need it for the final Boss in it; Deathgrip is found in the Foundry when we are reconstructing the Guardian.

Additional Campaigns:

If you never bothered to play the three Additional Campaigns we have unlocked, since now we will get Xp for them, you could try giving these a go if you want to change up the grind.

A very important note for the Demon Lord Belial DLC is that like our time on Earth during the Main Game, we can get that terrible “non-progression” glitch at every single cutscene & doors that are supposed to open will remain “red” & you are prevented from progressing. Make sure you keep frequent backup Saves & NEVER manually Save your game if you notice the doors not opening.

There is no way to fix this if you accidentally Save or the game Autosaves when it glitches; if this happens, you cannot complete this DLC. Less damning than messing up during the Main Game with this glitch, but still pretty annoying; this actually happened to me as soon as you meet the “human sniper” as I had no idea the glitch was also in this DLC. I have no clue what happens after that & have no intention of restarting my game to find out… I hope I didn’t miss out on an epic Boss fight like Argul’s Tomb had…

The Kingdom of the Dead:
Ideally, by the time you reach the Kingdom of the Dead, you be around Level 25-27 depending on if you completed the Additional Campaigns.

The Devil: When you are Level 25 & beyond, approach a Serpent Tome & we will receive a final Gift From Anonymous. With this Card, we can now access the final Stages of the Crucible & it will be finally unlocked to us.

All that is left for us now is the final grind to Level 30 as that is exactly what the last few Waves of the Crucible will be… If you have not already been doing so, I would recommend having the Demonheart Talisman equipped for a chance of potentially receiving our final set of Possessed Scythes at as high of a Level as you can manage. I would also start hoarding Weapons that have the Stats you want your final Possessed Weapon to have as well to reduce even further grinding at Level 30.

Unfortunately, we cannot farm enemies for Xp in the Soul Arbiter’s Maze (you do not get Xp from enemies who are a lower Level than you & you would have to make it to Level 6+ of the maze). You must continue to complete Primary/Secondary Quests or Additional Campaigns for the best Xp yields.

Achievement #47 – Epic!: Death Reaches Level 30.
This is probably the most tedious Achievement in the game, but fortunately you will most likely earn it halfway through your NG+ playthrough after completing Primary Quest – City of the Dead; it may unlock sooner or later depending on how many Secondary Quests you also beat & if you completed the Additional Campaigns.

At the very latest, you may have to progress a little ways into Lostlight if you are unlucky, but you should not have to go to the Ivory Tower.
Sequence 27: He Chooses to Fight On!
1. The Forge, The Kingdom of the Dead, Additional Campaigns
2. Primary Quests: Find A Way to Save War to ~ The City of the Dead
3. Approximate Level: 30/30
4. Achievements: 47/50
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is now time for the final Sequence of the game, the Crucible. All we have to do is beat every Wave; difficulty does not matter, & you can set it as low as you want for an easier time. Your chosen Possessed Scythe may break or may make the Crucible; obviously that only matters if you are playing on Apocalypse Difficulty or higher. I recommend playing on Normal or lower…

The Crucible:
The Crucible can be accessed/Fast Travelled to from any realm. There is a time counter involved during each Stage, but it means nothing to our success or Achievements. There are four Stages we need to complete & each one consists of 25 Waves. The only way to be successful in the Crucible is if you have Weapons that give you Health either from kills or ideally from Criticals; we cannot abandon the Crucible to replenish our Health Potions once we start a Stage.

Stage #1 – Waves #1-25: Every 5 Waves, we will have the option of leaving the Crucible & earning a prize, or continuing on. Unless you have 0 Health Potions & are on the verge of death, never accept the prize.

Our first 25 Waves are very easy, on any Difficulty, & will encompass enemies we fight in the Forge Lands. In the final few Waves, the Bosses we will need to defeat are the Corrupted Custodian, Gorewood, & Ghorn.

Stage #2 – Waves #26-50: Continue into the next Stage in the Crucible & we will be fighting enemies from the Kingdom of the Dead next. Our Bosses for this Stage will be Tormentors, Bone Giants, & Undead Generals in various combinations.

Stage #3 – Waves #51-75: Our next set of Waves will consist of enemies from Lostlight, the Forge Lands, the Kingdom of the Dead, & even a few Demons from Shadow’s Edge at the tail end. The only Boss for this Stage will be at the very end & it will of course be the Deposed King, Argul.

Naturally, the Deposed King is quite a challenge & may require you to use some of your Health Potions to defeat…

Stage #4 – Waves #76-100: We will need to try for these last few Waves as they will not be pulling any punches – you will really want to conserve whatever Health Potions you have left from here on! The Fleshburster Waves are the most dangerous as they can very quickly burn through our Health if we are caught off guard or timed our evasions wrong. Our Bosses for this Stage will be a Corrupted Custodian, Gorewood, Bone Giants, a Suffering demon, &… the full on Avatar of Chaos boss!

The Avatar of Chaos is the identical final boss fight we need to defeat for the Primary Questline except he will be Level 33 & do a lot more damage.

Achievement #48 – Is There Anyone Else?: Complete The Crucible.
Complete all 4 Stages of 100 Waves of the Crucible, & defeat the Avatar of Chaos once more to complete the Crucible & unlock this Achievement.

Achievement #49 – Brave Old Chap: Defeat Wicked K.
With the Crucible completed… as our previous Achievement title suggests… there is someone else. Collect our reward, restock on Health Potions if you need to, but return back to the Crucible Curator & we will have a new option to verse Wicked K.

Complete a short free-running puzzle, to reach the very peak of the Crucible, & we will meet the myth, the legend, the skeleton himself. Wicked K. You may potentially remember him as a very strange random encounter in Darksiders 1…

Wicked K is actually incredibly easy to defeat…

Achievement #50 – BFA: Unlocked all 50 Achievements!
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after we have successfully unlocked all other 49 Achievements in the game!
Conclusion:
Darksiders 2 is a great sequel to the first one & fixes any criticism I may have had for it. Evasion, free-running, & RPG elements – what more could you want? Death is also a great protagonist & I thoroughly enjoyed any moment he opened his mouth to deliver lines. I did find it a little irritating however that we could not earn 100% in a single playthrough & had to enter NG+ just to get those last 8 Levels. It was unnecessary & added padding to the game when it definitely didn’t need it. 100% took me around 70 hours to complete with a lot of time spent writing the guide; you can probably shave off at least 20 hours during your own run!

If this guide helped you achieve 100%, rate the guide or let me know in the comments. Helps me know if I am doing things right!

Hey Bilgot, that is a yes BUT question. So firstly, once you have the It's Deathinitive Achievement, you can freely raise or drop the Difficulty whenever you want without worry. As well, higher Difficulties do NOT give you more Xp so if you want to blast through your NG+ at a lower Difficulty you definitely can.

My only point for potentially not, or at least playing on Apocalyptic, is loot rarity drops DO get altered on higher Difficulties so if you play on Easy you may not get very good gear as you progress. That being said, if you kept the Difficulty on Easy the whole way through, even without Epic Tier gear you shouldn't have any issues anyways even in the Crucible... :reaperform:

Hello, I have a question. I just finished Darksider 2 on the hardest difficulty and my question is - Can I now change difficulty to easier without any consequences? I like hard games and that was great experience but for just making some achievements it's not interesting imo. Thanks for good guide.

Hey dagaller, yep that is entirely possible, especially since we are forced to play 3/4 of the game over again in NG+. The only kicker, is on Deathinitive it's obviously pretty difficult & the enemies are pretty strong; not going through & completing Secondary Quests will greatly reduce how much Xp you'll be earning. Quests are the best way to Level up in Darksiders; enemies do give Xp but no where near the amount you would get from completing Quests.

For the Secondary Adventure Achievement, you have to complete ALL side quests in one playthrough be it NG or your NG+. So any quests you complete in the first playthrough will have to be redone in NG+. Not the end of the world though. If you need to do side quests for Xp, do the "single task" ones & not the ones tied to finding Collectibles to save yourself the tedium; I list some good ones to do in Sequence 26 in the Forge Lands section.

Thank you for this guide! I already used your guide for Darksiders Warmastered and it helped me a lot! I am about to start this game now and wanted to ask a question, do you think it is possible to do 2 runs, 1 in which i just play the game on deathinitive, with just playing the main story through and not doing the sidequests or collectibles? I would rather do them in the NG+ playtrough on normal mode, or is this just not possible? Thx in advance!

Thank you for the guide!!! It is really easy to follow and helped me a lot. Will definitively follow your guides on other games!

I just wanted to add that on Book of the Dead Page #35 (Sequence 20), your way did not work for me. My solution was to go near the gap after picking up the bomb and then jump-throwing it. But you can also use the soul splitter to pass it across the gap between souls.
