ORP Warszawa 1988

Description

How it works?
  • You can control the ship from the seat in the command bridge. Use the WSAD keys to steer the ship, and the logic gates (arranged like arrows) show how the engine room is working.
  • You can control the main artillery from the so-called Main Artillery Plotting Room. The artillery uses the DADAS system, which takes a moment to learn but is very simple and efficient.
    Keybinds:
    • LMB - shot; RMB - activate DADAS;
    • 1,2 - cameras;
    • 3,4 - camera tracking;
    • 5 - ammo type switch;
    • 6 - DADAS aiming mode change;
    • 7,8,9 - mannual angle change;
  • Reload the torpedoes as shown below.

  • AA Missiles are reloaded similar to torpedoes, weld correctly and connect higher button to last logic gate and lower one to guidance module
  • It is a large blueprint, but it partially has simple physics 1 compatibility but I don't recommend using it
  • Of course ship is 100% funcional and has fully interiored rooms and decks. As our standards are.

Historical description:
ORP Warszawa (hull number 271) was a Soviet-built Kashin-class destroyer, originally known as Smelyi in the Soviet Navy. It was commissioned in 1968. In 1988, the ship was transferred to the Polish Navy, where it was renamed ORP Warszawa, becoming the third Polish ship to bear this name.

As one of Poland's most powerful naval units, ORP Warszawa served as the flagship of the Polish Navy. The ship was equipped with advanced missile systems, making it a key asset during the Cold War era. However, due to high operating costs and aging systems, ORP Warszawa was decommissioned in 2003.

The ship’s service history symbolizes a significant period of Polish-Soviet military cooperation and represents the peak of Warsaw Pact naval capabilities.

Specification:
  • Main artillery: Two twin AK-726 76,2 mm dual purpose guns
  • Surface to surface missiles: four P-21 and P-22 Termit anti-ship missile launchers
  • Anti-aircraft armament: II missile launchers Volna-P.
  • Anti-Submarine Warfare: Two RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launchers.
  • Maneuverability: The ship has a maximum speed of 35 knots. The ship is decently maneuverable, but the rudder may be sluggish
  • Armor: Of course, none, but there are a few small plates to armor the ship's most critical systems.

Name origin:
ORP "Warszawa" – a name carried throughout history by ships of the Polish Navy; it originates from the name of the city of Warsaw, the capital of Poland.

Build process:

More:
I decided to build ORP Warszawa No.271 as a tribute to the anniversary of September 1st (outbreak of WWII). Additionally, this is my first scale replica of a historical ship (our scale assumes 1m = 3 blocks). Please treat this ship as a break from our "daily" vessels.
Have fun!
