But you should get into the healthy habit of purging your universe folder regardless.
Just delete everything in there except for your universe.dat (which keeps your teleporter bookmarks and outpost/progression markers) and the world files of any planets where you've built stuff that you want to still use (they'll have noticeably larger file sizes, among other indicators)

But if you've played GiC in the past, and you don't want that past experience pissed on and thrown into the trash-
-you should play this version. And maybe go check out whatever new stuff they've pumped out on the side, eventually.
