Behold the magnificent BoneReapers! Truly the best rulers a rimworld could ask for; they only demand bones, like the ones inside you. You weren't really using them, were you? Against the players colony, they are a heavily armoured and melee-focused faction that feels no pain and will forcibly take your bones. ENJOY.

The best way to use this mod though is to BE the BoneReapers and enjoy the greater things in death. As a bone reaper, you will be harvesting the rimworld for bones and souls to make the most splendid colony that only the dead can truly appreciate. Which they should appreciate since the whole colony was made FROM them, truly the greatest form of recycling.

This faction is MEANT to be OP, so I recommend playing on a higher difficulty and NOT making a kill box, you cowards.
ALSO, the mod is trying to be balanced, and that balance comes in the form of things taking a long time to make, as well as the need to kill people for every resource. You can also play these guys in many different ways, including pacifist if you REALLY wanted to, and just recycle dead people or something you figure it out, you hippy BoneReaper.

There are 5 xeno types, all of which are crafted. Each one is related to a role for the colony, and more types may be added or updated to fill more roles. They do all share some similarities like no pain, they rarely need to eat, they do not need sleep, toxic means nothing to them or cold and do not bleed, as well as a few more minor changes compared to normal pawns.


5 craftable animals that all come in random variations, more with the Lightless Empyrean biome mod enabled.
Each one also fills specific roles, just like the Xeno types, with more planned.
The Scarab cleans and hauls, the Mongrel is an attack dog, the Ghora is a war mount and pack animal. The Daraigana is a war mount, and the Gheist and Horror are humanoid chaff creatures.


1 upgradable armor set and matching upgradable helm, with tons of random variations on it.
As well as a cloth outfit if you have the lightless biome mod, and one armor that matches the strength of power armor.
3 upgradeable shields with a bunch of choices for looks. The third and largest shield is meant for the Archons and will look weird on other pawns, but that's up to you to use it on them or not.
2 full weapon sets, the second of which is as good as mono and comes with personas on them since i took souls to make them.


The BoneReaper faction is meant to be hard to fight for all you masochists out there; however, if you play as the BoneReaper faction scenario, they will be friendly to you.


All the items currently in the mod; more will be added.


There isn't a dedicated style pack. YET.


There is a dumb amount of upcoming ideas. New Xeno types, animals, more gear, more buildings, and a dedicated style. Basically, a whole overhaul worth of plans.



FAQ about the mod

Is it compatible with CE?
Ask CE! or go annoy someone who likes CE enough that they make a patch.

Can it be added or removed from a save?
Added? Yes, it should be fine, removed saves; you may need to do some things to remove any mod safely.

The cereal box is NOT in the mod; it was made as a joke.
However, I am corruptible, and you can bribe me to put it in.



Should be compatible with everything.

The idea for this mod borrows heavily from "age of sigmar ossiarch bonereapers" from Games Workshop.




1: For the shields to be coloured, you'll have to save and reload for it to appear. This is a VE bug; go complain to them to get it fixed lol.

2: If you see a bonereaper child want to join you, that is a bug either kill it or dont accept that quest for now, you can also force them to become an adult in dev mode to fix its issues as well, damn ghostbone child

3: Some resources arnt appearing in the resource tab

Are the bone animals you craft supposed to start wild? Because I just made a pair of mongrels that I had to then tame, which immediately backfired and had them both go manhunter on me...

in the meantime, made a personal patch that patches all melee animation weapons to be compatible, compatibility with facial animation through a commission (UNAGI facial style) as well as configs for disabling FA entirely (like B&S genes), hair, etc. Other minor personal touches such as disabling animals from these and profaned from popping up outside their faction (personally found it weird when I'd see mousekin caravans arriving on giant profaned behemoths lol). Compatibility for VPE genes mod (undead path) alongside adding psycasters to their ranks. Also includes anomaly patches for profaned ranks and a dozen other mod compatibility from my 300 MO overhaul mod list

Love this mod. My guys keep getting organ failure and heart attack from aging which is probably a mod issue but i think it's funny

Crafting station does not work for some reason, the pawns just keep putting the corpses there and then taking them out
