T48 57mm GMC / SU-57

Initially ordered by the British for combat in the deserts of the North African Campaign of WW2, the T-48 Gun Motor Carriage found itself too late to the party and with the introduction of new and improved anti-tank weapons, it soon found itself surplus to requirement.

As such some 650 vehicles were shipped to the Soviet Union as lend lease, and designated SU-57. Further on some would be given to the Polish People's Army.

The T48 GMC carries a 57mm Gun M1 / 6 Pounder anti-tank gun providing the towed antitank weapon with self propelled capabilities. Ammo count is slightly increased from the normal base variant to infer the ability for the SPG to carry it's own ammunition.

The Gun shield is the base model given this is only a composition, therefore it lacks the shield as seen on the SU-57 on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow for example.

As with all compositions be sure to disable terrain mapping and surface snapping.

Two vehicles are included to allow a Zues to place at least two of these vehicles without a sudden detonation occurring due to variable names not copying over with the codes in the init fields of the half tracks. One is the normal seated half-track, letting the gunners look as though they're sitting on the tops of the seats, and the other is the M16 with the quad mount removed. Some shell casings for decoration and some boxes for sitting have been added to make things look a bit prettier. Seats of the passenger variant of the SPG have been disabled to keep too much clipping from occurring. Code has also been added to allow for the swapping of seats between Gun and Half-track without having to leave the vehicle.

I have discovered others have already made a T48 - But on the bright side this version has the smaller storage requirements as it ONLY requires SP44 and no additional mods. However I feel I'd be taking front end space without at least acknowledging them and giving you the choice of which version of the vehicle you'd like best.
