M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank

The M1A1 is the second major production variant of the M1 Abrams series of main battle tanks. It is distinguished by its upgraded 120mm gun, a significant enhancement over the 105mm gun of its predecessor. The M1A1 gained notoriety during the Gulf War, where its advanced fire control systems and night-fighting capabilities allowed it to easily destroy Iraqi T-72 tanks while sustaining minimal casualties.
