Super Simple Heavy Bomber by Uncle T

Description
732 bricks.

The plane itself is only 210 bricks, the bombs and their release mechanisms add the rest.

A super simple WW 2 style heavy bomber known as the "Box o' Bombs". It carries 54 big bombs that can/should be dropped as six separate groups.
It also has three machine guns for protection (double guns, 1 regular, 1 explosive).

CONTROLS
Alt controls to fly.
W/S: variable throttle. Top speed with bombs is fairly realistic, top speed without them is far too high.
S: Ground brakes.
Spacebar: Parking brake.
A/D: Ground steering / Yaw.
Up/Down arrows/ Mouse: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows / Mouse: Roll.
Hold X/Invert steering: Bomb bay doors.
Fire action 1-6/Num 1-6 (in that order!): Drop bomb clusters. Drop with a slight pause between them to avoid mid-air collisons and explosions.

Machine guns use Alt controls.
Up/Down arrows/ Mouse: Elevation.
Left/Right arrows / Mouse: Traverse.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Fire.

Thanks. Also I kinda know what to do at low speeds when I need to turn. Most of the time i just try to gain speed but other times when I cant I use the rudder to keep it up. Also, I do know a few planes that CAN fly like so. here. if you need to you can study it but its just something I found interesting to look at. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3174460136

It has A auto correcting rudder and flys at 90MPH most of the time. But at around 50 it is in a landing state. Its very good. Sooooooo yea I understand if its hard to fix planes but I still every now and then play with em. Good day

BTW feel free to adjust the control surface speed and max angles on any of my planes if they are a bit too twitchy for your liking. Anything that helps stuff actually work even ok-ish in this game is allowed.

I know some of that could be fixed with clever use of sensors and gradual input etc, but I just don't think you should have to use crap like that on a WW1 or WW2 prop plane.
Use my planes or not, that's fine either way. Some like them, some don't, some REALLY don't. But that's a different story. 🤣

Well the aerodynamics in the game as is are very bad for slow planes with weaker engines. Planes IRL can actually take off and fly at just 100-120 kph, but in the game that's not possible in the game, and if you do manage to get off the ground and fly that slow one single turn will make you literally fall out of the sky since the speed loss is ridiculous for any manoeuvering.
I'm also aware that some of mhy planes are WAY to responsive, and it's the ones I've had to re-trim/re-work after one or even two aerodynamics updates. After fixing several dozens of planes I got bored and didn't do the best job with some of them.
It's also tricky because the plane can be rather sluggish to respond at low speed because the effect of the aileron is so low since low speed = next to no lift in the game, but then at higher speeds they respond too well.

Also note that I would use them, but its because of the handling. it makes it hard to steer at slow speeds. I mean this as when I want to make just a slight change in direction, I need to be REALLY CAREFUL to not overshoot. so yea, I love the planes but I just don't feel like they are too realistic. And probably the MOST REALISTIC ITS GOTTEN was with Thatonenerfer64's planes. But yea I would use yours, it's just that I dont like the BROKEN physics of brick rigs sayin "NO" and just making it hard to use.

I'm not even mad. And i'm sorry for kinda going rouge on my last few comments. Now, I may do WW2 RP server every now and then, but I never use your planes due to how buggy they are. But other than that, I still think they are good. And i understand if you don't want to continue for a while. I just want to say, that your builds are making me happy. To me, my fav is the V-2 and V-1 rockets. They are very realistic and can be a lot of fun in a WW2 RP. Especially the portable ones. So, have a good day, and i'll see what else you have to offer soon, if you want to continue.

I made it as low brick as possible but still with decent functionality. The plane is only like 210 bricks, the rest of the bricks is the bombs.
Feel free to add more cosmetics if you want to make it look nicer.
