Oil Spill Response Vessel

Oil spills are know in stormworks because they can cover big areas of the sea if ignored. If you are playing in career mode they can become a headache and eventually ruin a savegame. That is why I created this small and cheap oil cleaner so you can deal with them early on.

The boat is an evolution of my previous rescue vessel.

- Small radar
- Sonar
- GPS
- Two fire hoses
- 2 Small Cranes
- 2 Medical beds
- Personal equipment (medical kits, defibrillators, torches, diving, etc)
- Automatic Anchor

The recovered oil tank can be filled with sea water and used as ballast to balance the boat when loading/unloading cargo with the cranes.



1- Deploy the skimmers

2- Turn on sea water pump and open the sea water valve in the centrifugal separator room.

3- Turn on engines push the Centrifugal throttle and the engine clutch in the wheelhouse to direct the engine power to the centrifugal separator, you can increase the engine RPS with the throttle for more suction. If you need to move pull the Centrifugal throttle a bit to redirect some power to the propeller.

Once all the oil has been recovered you can turn off the sea Sea Water Pump and close the Sea Water Valve and turn on the ReCentrifugal Pump and open the ReCentrifugal valve to fully eliminate the sea water inside the recovered oil tank.
