Just downloaded this and the new shared assets for the first time and its not working. I also dont have anything else that could conflict with this animation.

honestly yeah if it doesn't work and you've followed all the previous advice then an offering to your respective deity's adversary is probably your best bet

Black mesa likes to be haunted for no reason. sometimes mods just don't work and its very unfortunate, you could try maybe taking it out of the vpk file but there are so many reasons that mods just don't work in this game. Really wish I could help. just to reiterate make sure the shared assets mod and this are both in your custom folder. maybe try grabbing another mod off of the workshop to make sure your custom folder is loading mods properly as sometimes you need to edit gameinfo.txt for the game to acknowledge it

no I don't as that's one thing i tend to avoid anything that messes with weapon sounds

Do you have any other mods that edit the weapon_sounds.txt? any like sound replacement mods or some reanimation packs will be incompatible.
