Santa Marta Metro Station

Mexico City Metro Line A

Description
A very suburban looking metro station. Train version here.

Real life context
This station is inspired by the real-life Santa Marta Station[www.google.com] of Mexico City Metro Line A. However, since every station looks the same in this line (excluding both terminal stations), you can use it to simulate any other Line A station.

Line A, planned as a feeder line for the main system, was inaugurated on August 12, 1991. This line was the first one to use a letter instead of a number as its identifier and the first to use steel wheels instead of pneumatic wheels in its rolling stock.

Santa Marta Station takes its name from the surrounding neighborhood "Santa Marta Acatitla". However, even when there is a station called Acatitla, which is a little bit closer to this neighborhood, it's less important than Santa Marta Station.

This station is the last station before the Line A exits the Mexico City boundaries and enters the Mexico State boundaries, making this station very important for the surrounding municipalities.

Placing
The station is intended to be placed in between two one-way roads, for example: inside a highway.
The station is 2u(16m) wide, so you need to left a 2u gap between your roads to place the station.

If you want to place it inside a highway (just like in the screenshots) you should first build zonable roads, place the station, and then replace them with highway roads.

The station DOESN'T need road connection to work, so the station will not show a "No road connection" warning if it's placed inside a highway.

Ped connections
The station has a kinda special pedestrian paths setting, since you can connect regular ped paths (the ones that you will see in parks) to the station.

There are 4 nodes for pedestrian path connections. Being 2 nodes for each end of the station.

It's recommended to use the Line A Pedestrian Way paths to connect the station. However, you can use any other path you like (You still need to subscribe to Line A Pedestrian Way since it's needed for the station to work).

NOTES
  • The station track nodes may look shorter than usually. This is intentional to avoid the tracks/trains clipping through the station mesh. You can use Node Controller to adjust the nodes.
  • The metro train seen in the images is a DLR B07 made by meshd.
  • Since I'm not a professional 3D artist, this asset may not be that faithful to the real-life station. I'm just having fun making these assets.
