Nanu's Vassal Income Fix (Resolved)

Description
This mod is no longer needed. CA has fixed this bug.

Simple mod that fixes the bug in patch 5.1 that causes vassal income to stop working on save games. This mod gives you 20% (adjustable via MCT) of your vassals income each turn.

This does not actually fix the underlying issue but rather reads all of your vassals income and sends a percentage of it to you, the player, via a scripted event. This means that effects that increase/decrease vassal income won't work, but at least you can play Nakai and Archaon again

@Zendren this mod doesn’t affect your vassals income or their tribute at all. It simply reads the gross income of your vassals and adds a percentage of that to your faction on your turn. Your vassals still make the same amount of income that they would normally.

Since CA fixed the vassals bug this mod is no longer needed but can be used to do exactly what you’re looking to do.

Hey I am using this mod for another purpose, which isn't to resolve the old bug but to allow me to set my vassal income to fixed amount (I want my vassals to have armies and if they are taxed too heavily they cannot sustain themselves). Does this override the previous income? Or if I try to use this mod now, will it give the in game vassal tribute and on top of that the income from this mod? I haven't been able to find any mods on the workshop which allow you to hard set/adjust vassal tribute.

Gotcha, thanks for the quick response and quicker thinking!

@Rincewind322 AI has upkeep cheats so I doubt that will ever be an issue, but to answer your question no. This mod doesn't actually take your vassals income, it only reads it and adds a percentage of the read value to a sum that then gets sent to you on your turn

Sorry if this is a convoluted question, but do you think vassals will recruit more troops than they can support on their now limited income and then suffer attrition when the player gets a chunk of their income? I adore this mod, I've just been pondering that idea since you posted it :).

@adamsevs I am getting this bug too but unfortunately it is a different bug entirely and this fix wont remedy it

There's still a vassal income bug thought that may be encountered.
If one of your vassal leaves you or is destroyed, your vassal incomes will bug afterwards, in my case on my be'lakor campaign every time i switch stances with any armies i loose like 10% of my vassal income and it can turn into negative !
Then like by magic, income become then once again as it should be in the next turn, untile your starts changing stances :)

So i'll use your mod until this is fixed, thanks

The bug is back, thanks for leaving this up.

Great. Thanks for the confirmation Nanu, your mods are awesome and I'm happy I'm able to include them in my campaigns

@Leps Nope. It’s a simple script mod with a single saved value that gets tossed if you load the save game without the mod running.
