Genepack Reprocessor

Description
Adds a new biotech building, the Genepack Reprocessor. Unlocked after gene processing, the reprocessor can split, duplicate, and merge genepacks.

You can finally isolate archite genes, or specific genes out of larger packs.

Check out the mod settings if you feel the genepack reprocessor is too strong/weak, or just want to simplify its functionality.

Multiplayer compatibility: Works without issues, so long as the reprocessor mod settings are synced.

Feel free to send Pull requests, help with translations would be nice.

@Laf Yes, there is.
When I made the mod settings, I included alot of additional params that aren't accessible in the settings UI (because I wanted to keep it simple).

One such setting is 'genepackMergeMax'.
You can manually add any settings you want from these options [github.com].

Generally, Rimworld mod settings can be found at:
"SomeUserName\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config"
This mod's settings should be "Mod_3277539761_GenepackImprovMod.xml"

So if you wanted to change the merge limit to say 20, you'd add "<genepackMergeMax>20</genepackMergeMax>" between the <ModSettings> tags.
Note: Since this setting is not in the UI, it will remain the same even after changing other mod
settings from the UI.

Its a little bit of a hassle, but is a handy trick for some other mods as well.

is there anyway to merge more than 10 genes to a genepack?
Anonemous2  [author] Jan 25 @ 9:22am
Just pushed a patch for gene prerequisites. They should now be ignored for merging and separating.

I second @Long-comment-san this is really annoying. Happens with other genes as well that have requirements. The workaround is to merge the pack with the required gene and attempt to split off the problem gene by chance, but this is really annoying, tedious, and overall very time consuming and resource intensive.

Great mod, homever as another player said, the "keep separating genes" option no longer works. It did a few weeks ago, so perhaps that's just a mod update you did ?

Ah, slight correction, it appears that the keep separating thing itself isn't working, not a save issue.

Love this mod. Is there a way to make it so that the reprocessor saves jobs between saves/loads? Whenever I close and re-open a save, I have to manually set my reprocessor to separate and keep separating again.

any plans to integrate with neutroamine pipes from android expanded or ultratech ??

Hi! I think it can't separate hemogenic genes (It says "requires hemogen trait" and doesn't start the process)
