Paper Plumber Items

Paper Mario
8 items
Description
A mod that aims to add items from the Paper Mario series.

Balance
Created with vanilla Terraria gameplay in mind. The items included may either be too overpowered or not powerful enough for mods which add additional content to the game.

Obtaining Items
Items are either dropped as loot from enemies or crafted. Certain items will require the presence of a Cookbook and a suitable cooking environment in order to craft.

The cooking system is inspired by Taco's Cooking Delight mod.

The mod currently features items from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario. Future updates may introduce Paper Mario (N64) and more Super Paper Mario variations and exclusives.

To see which recipes correspond to which item in TTYD, please reference the list of recipes [www.mariowiki.com] in TTYD. Certain ingredients may be substituted by vanilla counterparts (Mango instead of Keel Mango).

Attributes
Massive thanks to Jopojelly, Cube Root, Blobwin, stormytuna, direwolf420, davidfdev and TModLoader server's #mod-development-help channel! Couldn't have made the mod without them.

All Paper Mario assets used in the mod belongs to Intelligent Systems and Nintendo.

Early playtesting is done by Cosmiikat .

I will see to adding an additional tooltip for that.

The package tooltip should be clearer about what I'm supposed to do to open it, since the usual method for other items (like fishing crates) doesn't seem to work

I've published an update that forces Volt Mushrooms to be shimmered into only Mushrooms. Thanks for letting me know about this!

@Protogen_Rhythm I'll take a look into this. I apologize for not responding as of late.

My friend found a loophole with the Volt Shroom recipes that can get wires pre-skeletron via shimmer, and in turn also gives infinite mushrooms and possibly money from my understanding. Something about the super mushroom recipe for it. Which in turn makes wires available preboss.

I think you might want to look at trying to find a way to balance shimmer interactions of the mod, if that's at all possible at least to not give vanilla items out of their intended progression order, considering you said it's with vanilla gameplay in mind.

Well, I've since disabled all my mods and started with re-enabling them one by one and that's fixed it. I'll update if I eventually find the problem! Thanks for all the responses!

I just tested that out with a Fluftrodon as well, running only this mod, Authentic Races, and Cheat Sheet. Cheat Sheet was used to acquire the Package item, then it was only a matter of grabbing said item from the research shop. I still haven't been able to replicate this odd bug.

Weird. I was playing a Fluftrodon, if that'd help.

That's quite odd. I've been repeating the exact same steps but the game didn't freeze up my character. I've tested with Authentic Races' default Wendigo character as well.

Resolved! I have determined that the issue was a mod incompatibility with Authentic Races! I assume the way the Lottery Ticket number generates interferes with the way Race Mods work.
