FBC Model C - Flying Boat (General Aviation Version)

This aircraft is a development of the previous FBC Type A and FBC Type B models. The type C has the basic pusher biplane configuration. While this aircraft is a larger and heavier variant, this model is developed in use for launching in aircraft carriers, which was being still experimented in this time. The aircraft was a two bay biplane with the smaller span lower wing positioned just above the central fuselage on four supporting struts. The single pusher engine was mounted on struts just below the upper wing, its two blade propeller turning in a cut-out in the wing trailing edges.

This aircraft was only lightly used in the first world war, this might be because of her very light airframe, with slight winds able to blow it off-course. Pilots also complained about the noise from the huge engine right above them. With this, production ended after the war as monoplanes are a much more reliable and viable option as recon aircraft.


This particular aircraft was one of the last built aircrafts from the production plants. This aircraft saw no service and was almost sent to scrap. However, a fellow named "bob" bought this particular aircraft for use in "general aviation". He removed all military fittings and retrofitted navigation lights. He currently uses this particular aircraft to fly around the sawyer isles. He also lends this aircraft in the "Sawyer Workshop" for the scientists who are currently looking to have a vantage point for observing volcanoes. However he also sometimes lends it for other purposes, such as the time the coast guard needed extra recon planes to find a missing boat, which was thankfully found.
