Voxel Loco 'DF'8DJ/LNG 东风8DJ型内燃机车

历史信息介绍Introduction to R&D History：
东风8D型交流电传动内燃机车，是资阳机车厂和株洲电力机车厂于2006年开发的大功率内燃机车，该机车采用了大量进口硬件，如：卡特彼勒的CAT3616型柴油机，EMD公司的HTRC径向转向架。但后来的命运与此前提到的东风8BJ型内燃机车一样，型号不被批准量产，在2010年运用测试结束后便送返至资阳机车厂封存。2016年，该机车重新进行了改造，并将发动机更换为基于东风8B型的16V280ZJA型柴油机的改造型，该改造型可以支持两种不同燃料，即支持柴油和天然气燃料的NY16V280ZJ/S型，并在2017年正式服役于地方铁路牵引。

TThe Dongfeng 8D AC electric drive diesel locomotive is a high-power diesel locomotive developed by Ziyang Locomotive Works and Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Works in 2006. The locomotive uses a large amount of imported hardware, such as Caterpillar's CAT3616 diesel engine and EMD's HTRC radial bogie. But later fate was the same as the previously mentioned Dongfeng 8BJ diesel locomotive, the model was not approved for mass production and was returned to Ziyang Locomotive Factory for storage after the completion of operational testing in 2012. In 2016, the locomotive underwent a redesign and the engine was replaced with a modified version based on the Dongfeng 8B 16V280ZJA diesel engine. This redesign can support two different fuels, namely the NY16V280ZJ/S model, which supports diesel and natural gas fuels. It was officially put into service for traction on local railways in 2017.
