Notify Councilor Targeted

Description
This mod triggers a pop-up when a councilor of the player's faction, or a turned councilor working for the player's faction, is targeted by a known councilor with a Turn, Inspire, Assassinate, Detain, Investigate, Steal Project or Sabotage Project mission.

Requires Unity Mod Manager[www.nexusmods.com].

Known issue:
- in some cases, the pop-up will trigger twice in a row

Future plans:
- add a button in the pop-up to immediately resign the targeted councilor

Built and tested on Terra Invicta 0.4.30. Verified on 0.4.43. Will not work with version 0.4.28 or below, as the TIFactionState.CurrentKnownCouncilors method changed it signature from version 0.4.28 to version 0.4.29 (it got a new parameter).

Compatibility
This mod applies Postfix patches to the following methods:
- GeneralControlsController.InitializeFinderList
- TIMissionPhaseState.SetMissionPhaseInactive

Language
This mod currently works with all languages, although text added by the mod is in English. If you want to help with translation, feel free to reach out.

It can surely be done, however with how frequently that value oscillates I wouldn't make a pop-up notification for it. I think having a councilor prompting you with a message to the top left as soon as you get high unrest, instead of at the start of the mission assignment phase, would be an interesting solution

A series of great mods. I wonder if there is a mod that can prompt national unrest. The original game currently lacks this prompt, which makes it easy for the player's country (such as the United States at the beginning) to be accidentally overthrown by AI.

That's it then. I'm not planning to add support for versions older than 0.4.29, as it's a lot of work and honestly an update to the current default Steam version is coming up soon. In the mean time, I recommend you get the current "beta-release" branch, which is at version 0.4.32 and should be quite stable. You can opt-in through Properties->Betas

I'm playing on 4.26.

I think I know what the problem is, the devs made a tiny change between versions 0.4.28 and 0.4.29 which makes this mod crash if you're playing on anything below version 0.4.29, same thing that happened for another mod of mine, Outliner Overhaul Mod.

Did you get a null reference exception in the log?

crashes the game. unloaded all other mods and went through them to isolate the cause. No entry in the log.
