Thank you for a feedback! Yeah, the skis are not the best solution for this, and wheels are much better. I tried to fit wheels, but only skis can fit in such a small space, and keep aircraft feel aerodynamic.
I develop different versions of Kozaks's
Now Kozak-2 in development - starter diesel helicopter for less then 8,000$
Also, I have a prototype of Kozak-6 - Big hullSAR helicopter with two engines, and big fuel tanks with flying time more than 2 hours. The thing is I trying to make everything works perfect, and this takes time.
About refueling in hard wind: I have the same issue sometimes, so I just use 'hold position' mode, indoor fuel hose and winch to go down and connect to ground fuel pump, while heli being in the air.
