Autopilot
This helicopter equipped with autopilot and heading control system.
For autopilot you have six buttons:
  1. Go home. When you helicopter have first airborne more than ~50ft, it remembers it's location as home.
  2. By keyboard. Use regular keyboard to insert desired destination
  3. Hold position. Helicopter will stay in place. Useful during strong wind
  4. Camera location. In development
  5. Nearest radar target. Nearest radar target will mark pink on the map. Helicopter will go close, but not over the target
  6. Nearest hospital. Nearest hospital where it possible to land on (excluding seed-generated locations)
If you need to turn it off, just press on the active AP button again,
Please be aware that Autopilot will be turned off if you will touch AP-related controls, such as ASWD or ARROW LEFT/RIGHT buttons. this is another way to turn OFF autopilot

Altitude control
For altitude control you have altitude indicator (on the right side) and altitude selector (on the left side).
Altitude selector can be grey (disabled) or white (enable). Click on the selector numbers to enable/disable altitude control.
Please be aware that altitude control system will be disabled if you will touch ARROW UP/DOWN buttons. this is another way to turn OFF altitude control

At the left from altitude control panel you can find auto land button. If you have AP enabled, heli will land automatically only uppon arrival to the destination.
Heli will try to land very precise, but during the strong wing it is possible than heli will hold itself very low on ground without landing, which prevents it from slipping from the landing pad

Side notes
  • This heli has custom stabilization system with active trim, which balance aircraft all the time. So next time when you attach container to it, do not worry - helicopter will fly stable anyway.
  • Systems can communicate between each other. For example, auto-landing will work only uppon arrival when AP is ON.
  • You don't need to manage throttle or RPS. System will adapt RPS needed at the moment. You can test it with the container and see that heli automatically increases RPS when load is increased.
  • Water tank refills automatically when you land on water.
  • When AP is enabled, helicopter heading is calculated with wind correction. Don't worry, if heli is 'drifting' during the strong wind.
  • Heating system works automatically
  • When using rescue winch, doors and light will operate automatically. Also, use options 3 (all way up) and 4 (all way down). Option 4 will actively automatically adjust cable width, so you always have handles near to the ground
  • You can refill this heli without landing. Use indoor fuel hose anchor, *AP hold position* mode and rescue winch, so you can attach your heli to the ground pump, while holding heli on the air. This is a very good solution for refueling in the strong wind, or then you have no possibility to land.

Please do not copy and do not use any of LUA scripts or/and this creation here without my permission.
THX!

Just the best mod/helicopter ever. I can not help but always use this creation, you can customize it to your hearts content. I have done everything to this helicopter and still keep coming back for more. Every time I play with a new friend, I make them download this and they are blown away with what this thing can do. If I may suggest, Please, please make more creations. If this is anything to go by, the next will be benchmark for the rest.

@senorkarlos1 Yes, there is. There is a small "T" button at left bottom corner of the map. I plan to update it to show a distance soon

Thank you! I was blind after all. One more question: is there a transponder locator feature?? If not that could be a useful addition!

@senorkarlos1 You can control light from touchscreen, it has for button for it
CAB - cabin light
STR - strobe lights
NAV - navigation lights

what unit is the alt hold system? since if i am at 550, its (i think) not 550 meters, as at 550 you dont crash into certain mountains, but i do here... i might be mistaken tho

Hello! Maybe I'm blind, but how do you control lights (inside and outside)??
Egretos  [author] Jun 3, 2024 @ 2:16pm
Hi, @SuperKhyle

Thank you for a feedback! Yeah, the skis are not the best solution for this, and wheels are much better. I tried to fit wheels, but only skis can fit in such a small space, and keep aircraft feel aerodynamic.

I develop different versions of Kozaks's
Now Kozak-2 in development - starter diesel helicopter for less then 8,000$
Also, I have a prototype of Kozak-6 - Big hullSAR helicopter with two engines, and big fuel tanks with flying time more than 2 hours. The thing is I trying to make everything works perfect, and this takes time.

About refueling in hard wind: I have the same issue sometimes, so I just use 'hold position' mode, indoor fuel hose and winch to go down and connect to ground fuel pump, while heli being in the air.

Feedback like this drive me to develop more! Thank you!
