Description



Mod Content:
You can find a detailed list of all the changes this mod contains at the Complete Changelog.

This mod features fixed, restored, enhanced and new unique assets to improve the visual quality of Total War: WARHAMMER III. It currently contains a small selection of improvements and fixes for assets that were affected by the transfer from the previous installments to WARHAMMER III.

However, the mod will be expanded further in the coming years. Under the discussion tab you have the opportunity to make suggestions and report current visual bugs and flaws in the game. If you would like to report something or make a suggestion, please do so on the Discussion Area by creating a discussion with a description of the problem or your suggestion. You can find an overview of the problems and suggestions that have already been collected in the list with Collected Issues and Upcoming Changes.


Latest Updates:
July 10/12, 2024
  • Demon Slayers: added new base colour maps and masks to display their faction colours
  • Empire Knights: restored missing colour details on new base colour map (thx Dead!)

Known Issues:
  • Deviating faction colors on Wargor armor


Compatibility:
This mod should be fully save game compatible. It can be combined without any problem with mods of any kind, as long as those mods do not make changes to the same assets. If this should be the case, the mods must be placed on top of each other in the launcher in order of preference. If complications still arise, please contact me so that we can solve the issue together.


Recommended Mods:
  1. Portholes Redone III: This mod, created by drew_west and Marcovinchi, overhauls all 2D Unit Portholes (Portraits) to ensure consistent quality and camera perspective. There is even a Compatibility Submod that maximizes the technical and visual compatibility between the Porthole and the Enhanced mod.

  2. Warhammer I Texture Update Project: This mod, made by Dead Baron, ports assets from WARHAMMER I to eliminate the loss of quality that occurred when transferring assets from the first game to the successors.

  3. Visual Bug Fix Mod: This mod, done by Merwanor, fixes and restores assets that have suffered over the years during the release of the many patches and DLCs and thus serves a similar purpose to the Enhanced mod, but does so without going beyond the basic designs of the vanilla game.

bray shamans seem to change their color drastically when using the razorgor chariot with this mod on?

@Altey I believe it should, generally. Keep in mind that this here only affects a very limited amount of units. Which is why having this mod here closer to the top of your load order than larger reskin mods will be a good idea.

Reskins are pretty unproblematic to run and generally savegame compatible, so it's smth you can experiment with at any point, also during a campaign - when you notice any graphical issues you can fix it then without problems or any risk

Can you fix the bad clipping hand greaves texture, it happen to every marauder variation when holding great weapon (vanilla already have this issue not because of the reskin).

Hi barnak, did you accidentally flip the faction colours for the lances on demigryph/knight empire units? or is it intentional?

Any plans to fix the poxriders of nurgle? They all look the same, the riders and frogs all share the same model

Goblin hewers are fixed by CA, and with your mod enabled they have some weird textures around wheels. Thanks for your work <3

Hey, I'm sorry that I haven't answered any of your questions in so long and that there still hasn't been an update. I've had Covid for the third time in the last two weeks and this time it's taken longer to recover. I'll try to finish the changes I've started by the weekend so that I can start on the next points after that.

@Tsu Thx! Yeah, you are right about that. I corporate with Dead so that we offer the best possible compatibility.

@sirmicou85 Thank you and thx for reporting! I will check it after my next update.

@Hemir95 It should be as compatible as possible. So far only @sirmicou85 has reported an issue, which I still need to look into.

@Knight of Bretonnia Hey, I personally rarely play with the SFO mod, but I know that a large part of the community really appreciates SFO. I will work on a solution for better compatibility in the future.
