the truck that went over the cliff was the 281, it had the tired cat engine, you can tell the scenes different by the air cleaner and the grille, also the smoke the tired cat kicks out is a clear sign

well you will find there was two petebilts used in the filming the original was a 1955 281 the scenes added in when it was released as a full length movie from the tv film it was originally supposed to be was a peterbilt 1960 351
