Description
Have you ever wondered...

...why your intellectual colonists who have researched the secrets of the universe, or the crafters of your colonies who have produced artifacts of such quality that news of them spreads across the lands, can't seem to craft bionic equipment that has above standard efficiency?

Well, now you don't have to wonder!
Introducing quality bionics! Stronger bionics for smarter people.

Prostheses of a certain tech level and above (adjustable from the mod menu) now have quality levels that affect the efficiency of the part. because lets face it, someone had to have figured out a way to make a circuit in the unit a little bit better.

Mod compatibilities

This mod should generally work with bionics added from other mods.

This mod has a known incompatibility with Elite Bionics Framework -- it interferes with the way this mod works. I'm working towards the goal of making them more compatible.

The incompatibility with Elite Bionics Framework should be resolved now. Before you report anything, make sure you have the latest version of this mod (Steam can be a bit slow about propagating mod updates). If you want to force it, unsubscribe and then resubscribe to this mod.

In general, it's probably not the best idea to add this mod in the middle of a play-through.

This is the official continuation of the original Quality Bionics mod by Rebel_Rabbit, coded by Taranchuck. I've received Rebel_Rabbit's blessing to be the official replacement of the original mod.

This is version 0.2.0 for RimWorld 1.5 and 1.4

Cool new mod called Integrated Implants, no idea if you you had plans to add it to the compatability but thought I'd just check. Otherwise thanks for the awesome mod.

Can we get a way to see the quality of installed bionics?

@maniac23 You can use Medical System Expansion 2. it will overide some of the EBF parts and create new ones that are compatibles with Quality Bionics. Thought it does change the way bionics work so its to your taste.

@maniac23 Probably for the same reason Elite Bionics Framework stopped working -- I changed some things when I ported this mod, so they'd need to update their compatibility code. Or I can look into it eventually, but I'm currently busy with another project.
