Good work though. This is interesting certainly...I keep looking at it and thinking is it better haha. It kinda is tbf...but could be even better if there was a "➕" button to the left or an the sticky tool tips to reveal the expanded info nestled behind the stats... curious. Certainly worth looking into.
And tbf to CA we are VERY familiar with their icons, but to a newcomer "white explosion with red dots" doesn't intuitively scream weapon strength. Keeps it accessible.
Now if you could click on weapon strength and a little drop down table breaking down more attributes such as attack type, animation speed et etc, that'd be top tier UI design.
Also quite amusing how sorting the icons this way makes the text on the left completely redundant and opens up space for much more important info, such as the different attack types of certain war machines. Shows what a poor job CA did on the general UI design imo.
As for the rest of your comments, it all lost me tbh, I'm not that clever. I just named the mod and tabels beginning with D~, which comes before J~ of JGUI alphabetically. I thought that would be enough based on my incredibly limited knowledge.
My mods only get like 60 subscribers usually, no-one really cares, they're very niche!
"Stat icons justified to the right. (Dyslexia-friendly) ('Just Good UI' version)" or similar then it would come up super neatly together with the original and Just Good UI in WH3MM, searching "just". "Version" might be better than standalone BTW. Just a bit of input, feel free to ignore <3
<3 Sorry for all that. I'm a nerd. I'm ashamed. HAHA
Have fun with 5.0 and thanks for this mod! <3
I personally think it's clear enough, but maybe not if ppl don't understand the subleties of "standalone": Mod title here could also state "standalone" like you did for original mod and maybe add "meaning: run one of the other"!
And finally: If there's one mod I like even more than Just Good UI for VANILLA factions, that would be "Parchment (Legacy UI). Any idea how difficult it would be to make those comp?
Few remarks, to help folks: If this is expliclitly made to be run with "Just Good UI" then it should be a required item, no? Or will it work without it, I guess then working identical to the original mod ".... justified right"? Should it be a HARD requirement (= crash without) then you need to def list it as required.
I think your number example works well, it's clear that this needs to be above the main mod (as tweak mods generally do. But by default, does it sort below or above? If below I'd consider re-uploading. Just thinnk of all the new casual players, the overhaul users who add tons of stuff they shouldn't, auto-sorting correctly goes a long way bro.... <3
