How To Re-Enable Survival Mode in Fallout 4 (Instructions)

Lots of people looking for how to Disable Then Re-Enable Survival Mode - it is possible! I do it myself when I'm stuck/etc.... here is how:

Disable Survival Mode by going into the Menu and lowering the Difficulty (turning off Survival Mode), then Save the Game again (so you have a Non-Survival Mode Save at the same spot if needed). After that, then you can use the Console (or do whatever you need to do) to get past the broken point of the Quest(s) or get Unstuck by clipping out of your place (tcl = off, then typing again, tcl = it will come back on (be normal)), etc etc.

Then when you are done, to re-enable Survival Mode again, open the Console and type

cgf "Game.IncrementStat" "Survival Denied" -1

Then go into the Main Menu and Gameplay and increase the difficulty to Survival once more.

That's it!

(can try copy-pasting, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and i had to type it in manually; this whole thing is a bit janky for some reason lol sometimes i have to make a Save when I switch modes before i go and type this in and re-enable Survival Mode, sometimes i had to exit the game before switching back and sometimes i didn't - it's like fixing some item and you have to take it all apart and rebuild it to get it work right and the next time it acts up you just have to hit it and it works again)

that will then allow you to go back to the Game Menu and turn up the Difficulty to Survival once again.
(I've tested it myself. Date of last Test: 2024.04.30)

Perhaps this will allow you to do whatever you need to do or get past the broken parts, etc.
