FriendRivalPatch
This is a very small mod doing just one small (but honestly, rather impactful) thing: it changes the thresholds for a pawn to consider somebody a 'friend' or 'rival'. It's mostly because it's stupid a pawn, living rough on the Rim with all sorts of shenanigans going on, is crying about some hot person was shot they didn't actually spend any time with.
So exactly what does it do?
  • Changes the threshold for when a pawn consider another pawn a 'friend' - from an opinion of 20 to 50.
  • Changes the threshold for when a pawn consider another pawn a 'rival' - from an opinion of -20 to -40.
  • Adjust the threshold for when the thoughts of a friend or rival is allowed (= when they actually are a friend or rival).
  • The mood buff and debuff cap at 30 and -30, meaning the impact if an actual friend or rival dies is considerably stronger.
Incompabilites
There really shouldn't be any issues, unless you have another mod doing the exact same thing and then I guess it's up to load order.

I looked a little more at this from my original point of view. I now made it work much better in relation to what I was going for in the first place. Would still be interested in seeing your take on it nevertheless!

Yes, example: social tab has them as acquaintance(+25) but when they die my pawn still gets the -10 my friend died mood debuff
I already made the transpiler for myself, i can send it to you if you want

@jokulimy: Hm. What exactly do you mean? They get a 'friend died' thought, even thought they weren't friends as per the new threshold (50)?

was wondering why my pawns were still getting the friend died thought and after checking your code it doesnt seem like you are actually preventing the thought? you are just lowering the mood impact down to minimum and hiding the pawns from social tab. Seems like to actually prevent the thought you need to transpile the threshholds in AppendThoughts_Relations function
