Take it with a grain of salt, I'm not a specialist, but from what I remember it's a "conflict" (not really) with Vanilla Tribes Expanded. That mod adds neolithic research and I think to make this one work with that one it would need to be a patch.

But I don't think it's necessary - if you want to start with no research at all, use the VE Tribals tribal start (you can modify it to suit your needs as well, as all others). It will let you start with no research and the tribal gathering mechanic to slowly build it up.

This mod is not really necessary if you want to play with VE Tribals and do their research. It is necessary if you don't use VE Tribal start, but don't want to start with other research beyond that.

Thank you for reporting.
Now I do not know if this is some kind of mod conflict, which I doubt.
This is most likely a different scenario problem.

I tried all the classic scenarios, "Crashlanded" - "Lost Tribe" - "The Rich Explorer" - "Naked Brutality" and the only one with pre-researched technologies was "The Rich Explorer"
As for a fix, I doubt I can do something about it, as my coding skills are horrible.

Hi Godly, First of thank you for the time making the mod. I am a bit new still with the modding aspect and i tried to use yours. However I am trying to start a new game with absolutely no research to start. but when i start a new game it keeps having me start with some of the pre neolithic research. for example i want to start with that i had to research the campfire etc. and they show up in my research screen but are already completed. would you know how i can resolve this in any way i already put it to the animal research option.

Very interesting. This could go very well with Completely Clueless as well.
I will see if it's possible by my coding skills as I'm kinda active in modding at the moment.

Could you create a mod that resets the skills, traits, and passions of starting pawns to zero, and allows them to gain passion traits similar to the child system?
