Elf Destiny: Regional Expeditions

Description
This is a submod for Elf Destiny, focused on expanded content outside of Western Europe.

The Elves have spent centuries searching for the Sigil of the Realm Lord, but it is not the only remnant from a time long past. In the far reaches of the world, ancient powers once again begin to stir

Features
  • A new (though still very similar) type of expedition
  • 60 new Holy Sites spread across Africa, India, Tibet, and the Eurasian Steppe
  • Three new "main story" event chain
  • An all new artifact with powerful decisions
  • A powerful new dynasty modifier designed to mitigate the naturally large families Elves accumulate
  • All-new cultural traditions
Getting Started
To start the regional event chains, you can either
  1. Take the "Sponsor African Archaeology" decision (avaliable if your realm capital is in Africa)
  2. Take the "Find the Kingdom of Shambhala" decision (avaliable if your realm capital is in India, Tibet, or Burma)
  3. Take the "Investigate Ancient Ruins" decision (available if your realm capital is in the Eurasian Steppe
  4. Restore the Grand Portal, avaliable from the base Elf Destiny mod.
After completing any regional event chain or restoring the Grand portal, a decision will become available that allows you to start new expeditions.
If you don't want to play with certain regions, each region can be enabled/disabled independently using game rules
Compatibility
This mod does overwrite some Elf Destiny files. If another submod modifies these, especially if it modifies the added religions, this mod may not work properly

Through playtesting I have identified this mod as interfering with the new Nomad update, and causes characters created in the Ruler Designer to end up as adventurers rather than nomads.

@MrShaft, it's actually not difficult. If you play with Dark Ages, just change the game rules to require zero holy sites for pagan reformation, and then you have to change the ED doctrines (at "C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\3114064450\common\religion\doctrines\spark_doctrines.txt") to increase the number of tenets from 3 to whatever you want. I just modified my bastardized Valyrian faith to add an Aurelan witch, a new faith icon, and 23 tenets, it's totally doable.

So, playing a shattered world (all counties), did the 1st expedition. The order is supposed to send an advisor, but it's not happening. The temple in my county is still controlled by my former priest, who I can't get rid of. Been in this situation for 3 years. Makes for an impossible start. Financially crippling.

Captain: Each expedition site can become a holy site if you visit it a few times, which means you can have far more holy sites than usual: reforming the faith is thus far easier than many other faiths that have more spread out holy sites.

So does that mean you can create almost all holy sites yourself, or are you reliant on RNG to create expeditions in the right spots. If it's the latter, it could take several lifetimes to get the right circumstances to create a faith.

MrShaft, are you talking about how there are almost no available Holy Sites at game start? You have to go on an expedition to the same place twice to unlock it as a holy site

I want to create a sub faith, or a faith based in the Religion of the Elfs, but They dont have the minimum of 3 holy sites that is required to even reform the religion, i thought that with this mod i can actually became of one religion of the elves that had more holy sites so i can reform it and do mine, if anyone knows how to , or the creator know how to , or even you cant and you want to add this feature i would be very thankfull

Do the regions have their own regional religions? Main religion only has one holy site, and that's way out in the wop-wops.
