历史信息介绍Introduction to R&D History：
东风7型电力传动内燃机车，是1980年中国铁道部为应对物流陆续集中使得铁道重载日渐增加的情况下，下达命令开发的一种能满足大型铁道编组场调车需要的机车设计任务；在1980年6月，二七机车厂、大连内燃机车研究所、永济电机厂、中国铁道部科学研究院的机车车辆研究所等单位合作下，开始设计制造。在1982年，首台东风7型内燃机车的样车制造完成，随后送至北京内燃机务段进行运用测试。在经过试验鉴定后，1985年东风7型内燃机车正式投入量产。

The Dongfeng 7 electric transmission diesel locomotive is a locomotive design task developed by the Chinese Ministry of Railways in 1980 to meet the needs of train formation in large railway marshalling yards, in response to the increasing heavy load caused by logistics concentration; In June 1980, with the cooperation of Erqi Locomotive Factory, Dalian Diesel Locomotive Research Institute, Yongji Electric Motor Factory, and the Locomotive and Rolling Stock Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Railways, the design and manufacturing began. In 1982, the prototype of the first Dongfeng 7 diesel locomotive was completed and then sent to the Beijing Internal Combustion Locomotive Depot for operational testing. After testing and identification, the Dongfeng 7 diesel locomotive was officially put into mass production in 1985.
