Samil, South African Military

The G5 is a South African towed howitzer of 155 mm calibre developed in South Africa by Denel Land Systems. The G5 design was based on the Canadian GC-45 155mm gun which was highly modified to suit southern African conditions.
During the Angolan Bush War, the South African Defence Force found itself at a disadvantage when facing opponents equipped with long-range Soviet Katyusha rocket launchers, which outranged South Africa's World War II-era 5.5-inch (140 mm) howitzers by a considerable margin.[3] This led to the issue of a staff requirement for a new artillery system as well as ammunition systems, gun tractor, fire control equipment and a fire control computer system.
Further changes included the addition of a small APU to allow the gun to dig itself in and move short distances at up to 16 kilometres per hour (9.9 mph).
The SAMIL 100 is an upgraded Magirus Deutz 320D22AL 6x6 10-ton (load) truck. Classified as a heavy truck, it is made of pressed steel with the cargo area (capable of carrying up to 50 passengers) having drop sides and a tailgate.

**Better To drive with Tow Mode on and In High Gears**

It Spawns in Transport Mode Just Release handbrake on Left Side and Make Sure Turret Lock ( Rear Right Next to Digital Display is OFF)
Make sure the Key Lock is in On for Gun to Rotate /Off=Locked for Transport or Firing
Rotate Gun forward (1.00) for Firing then Open Outrigger Legs and Drop (Mag Lock = Optional)
Lock Gun with Key (Minimize Sway)
Open Breach, Load Shell flip Safety On (Shell loaded Indicated) Set High (Left Outrigger)
Fire Shell.
Cosmetic Display
Digital Display shows +/- Distance for Shell (Meters)
Driving Switch Engine On hold 1 for Starters,2 = Handbrake (Default On)
Drop Outrigger Wheels for Better Manoeuvrability (Retract When Done)
Does have Steering

Moderate Difficulty, Somewhat Easy to Use.

Can Reach Speeds of 20kmph
