Introduction to R&D History：
Dongfeng 6 Heavy Duty Freight Electric Transmission Internal Combustion Locomotive was a design proposal proposed by Mr. Zhao Tongcheng from the Design Department of Dalian Locomotive Works around 1995; This design concept was published in a paper titled 'Accelerating the Identification and Production Transformation of Dongfeng 6 Locomotives - Providing a New Generation of Traction Power for Railway Heavy Haul Freight' in the 10th issue of the 1995 issue of the journal 'Internal Combustion Locomotives'. The article elaborates on the excellent performance of the Dongfeng 6 diesel locomotive, lists a large amount of data, and proposes to make certain design changes to the Dongfeng 6 diesel locomotive, changing it to a double section, double locomotive multi unit diesel locomotive. It also envisions using the 16V240ZJE engine developed in collaboration with Ricardo in the UK to further increase the locomotive power to 4,500~5,000 horsepower. However, as mentioned in the previous production failure of the Dongfeng 6 diesel locomotive, this idea has not been followed up.Of course, because this car is only a concept discussed in text, the appearance of the locomotive was designed and produced by the Voxel Railway Museum.
