Introduction to R&D History：
The Dongfeng 6A electric radial bogie diesel locomotive was developed in collaboration with Shanghai Railway University and Southwest Jiaotong University by Dalian Locomotive Works and Qishuyan Locomotive Works, based on the research project on radial bogies issued by the Chinese Ministry of Railways in 1995. However, due to unresolved issues, the Dongfeng 6 diesel locomotive was soon discontinued, and it ultimately only remained in the design drawing stage. The radial bogie developed later was installed on Dongfeng 4D-7000 series vehicles.
