Do you have toc with your organization? Don't worry now your books will have the vanilla book family and now each book class now has its own color.

Books that give you an xp multiplier for melee weapons, firearms and bunch of other skills

Can't read a book? Multiplier disappears after some time? Some other issue?
Thats probably mods conflicting with each other, there is no other reason behind it, because the mod barely has any coding behind it (Just customizing some lists). Please keep that in mind when reporting an issue in the comments.
